Hi,

I been offered a job (~2200 Euro:gross) in a telecommunication company in Wroclaw city. Can some body help to work out:

1. Living expense (2 bedroom house or flat) with or without bills?
2. Any reliable website to check available houses/ flats?
3. How much are taxes and what type (council, income etc) ? Any website to calculate net pay ?
4. What about medical treatment charges? Like in UK you can visit freely to local GP and only pay for prescription.

I will be moving with my partner and new born baby in June.

Thanks for detailed information. It seem like the pay is alarming and very low. Giving more detail of my job, I may be joining Nokia as research engineer. I have PhD in telecom with 6+ years of teaching experience so thought to move to industry e.g. Nokia. The gross pay (2200 euro) is sort of proposal which came up at the beginning of selection process but I haven't confirmed or responded. I do have offer of ~3600 euro (gross) in UK in a university but my first preference will be industry so thats how Nokia came to story. From your point, I would be discussing between 3200 - 3700 euro (gross) for good family life with saving as well in subject city, right ?

By the way how did you work out net pay ?
