Life / Pilipiuk, Ziemiański - Polish Authors - Where to buy their books? [6]

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone could help me.
My girlfriend (who's Polish) really likes books by Andrzej Pilipiuk and I'm trying to get her a book in a similar category so she has something new to read.

I found a couple on the internet but nothing too similar. I was looking at Andrzej Ziemieński, particularly Bomba Heisenburga because it's apparently an alternative timeline style book but I can't seem to find anywhere to buy it. Empik doesn't have it and I'm not sure where else to look.

Can anyone recommend me somewhere to buy books from Poland to be shipped to the UK and/or suggest to me some similar authors to Pilipiuk my girlfriend might like.

Thanks very much!
Steve

Awesome, thanks guys.

I forgot about Allegro. I actually found a website in the UK that will ship books from Poland and I got her £od by Jacek Dukaj in the end.

I'm still open to suggestions for similar authors though if anyone has any =]

Travel / Driving UK - Poland (breaks) [3]

Hi guys,

Apologies in advance as I know there are quite a few threads on this topic (I've been reading them) and I have most of the info I need for driving through Europe and into Poland. We're driving from Hertfordshire area to Kostrzyn (we're going to Woodstock) and then driving back from near Wrocław to the UK a few days later after visiting my girlfriend's family for a bit.

I'm hoping to do the outward journey in one trip, I know it's a bit ambitious but we have time to stop off and stay the night if we need to.

The journey back looks like it's going to have to include a stop off for the night cos it's a fair old distance.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for places to stay or a good site I can look at to find one.
I reckon we'll probably be looking at stopping somewhere in the west of Germany, probably near Essen or something.

Any other suggestions and tips are welcome of course (except to fly =p)

Thanks =]
