Early 50's I'm British and have always lived in the UK (now in Cheshire) though my father was Eastern European.

I've come to the conclusion that British women are obsessed with the celebrity culture and too materialistic.

Maybe I have inherited a desire for a simpler life with better values.

Maybe you would have to met the British women I have, to understand where I'm coming from.

If we were away on holiday in the UK, my ex liked to spend her time in Marks and Spencer. Even though it sold the exact same stuff as was in our own town. I'd be off sightseeing.
