UK, Ireland / Enforcing Polish Child maintenance order in UK court [29]

Actually 30 minutes ago I got an email and he offered £100 per month but I still think it should be more because of his wage.

His wage has nothing to do with what is fair for the child.
Take the 525 żł and tell him thank you for understanding.
Then keep records of [i]ALL[i] the child's maintenace costs.
(this doesn't include his cell phone and high speed internet costs)
Be reasonable, as in costs for school, school activities, cloths, shoes,
food, health care bills, ect.
If those costs exceed (which no doubt they will) the 525 żł, show him
that junior had a medical bill or dental bill that which exceeded the budget
he expects to raise a child on.
Civil communication with a man that has any accountability or responsibility
usually works better then threatening them with court and prison.
You don't want a challenge, you want what is best for your son.
Women sometimes think that child maintenace should cover their cigarettes and
vodka too for their part in raising the child.
I am not saying that is your case however things like that turn men off very quickly
in giving more to support dead beat mom's.
The first seven years are the hardest raising a child as they take a lot of time.
Now that he can tie his own shoes, make a sandwich, tuck himself in, sit and watch
t.v. by himself, ect. he is becoming easier to raise and much more enjoyable.
You have ten more years of your life to sacrifice for a decision that you made eight
years ago.
Those ten years will go very fast and I do pray that they will also be your happiest
sharing them with your son.

Life / Are there any Muslim areas in Poland? [173]

There is no such area unfortunately in poland. I'm muslim living here too and all I can say people here hate muslims

Fortunately the Polish people don't have to listen to chants blasting over loud speakers down their streets.
I am Christian and I have not been brainwashed to kill people that mock my bible.
Personally I hate anyone that wants to chop my head off because I refuse to believe like they do.

Give this one a try buffy. It's got some easy-to-do like potato pancakes.

Warning: These are not low calorie and tend to cause extreme weight gain.

Travel / Exchange Euro to Zloty - I am going to arrive in Warsaw [17]

Yes but the exchange rate is very bad. Better to change just a small amount there and change the rest somewhere in town.

Excellent advise.
All airports world wide that I have dealt with will clip you.
Especially when you are leaving a country because they know you don't want to take money that is worthless at home with you.
You are desperate to unload it and they know it.
Like 357 suggested, cash in a 100 Euro at the airport which will give you enough for some chow, a cab or bus and enough for
a nights stay. Then hit a bank where they should give you about four to one for your Euro's.
(100 Euro = 420 PLN or zloty the last time I checked)
You have yourself an enjoyable time.

Life / Going to Poland in a hijab - Polish people and Islam [154]

Could Polish people who live in Poland, have an open mind to Islam, or Hijab if i explain the logic behind it?

How do you think Muslim people of a Muslim country would react if I took my teenage daughter to one of them and she wore her daisy dukes with her lower bare cheeks hanging out of them, a haulter top with no bra, bearing her bare belly, bare footed with her long hair flowing freely in the wind ?

Do you think there may be a negative response to her since no one else wears it and people may not be use to it ?

Could Muslim people have an open mind to the West if I could explain the logic behind it ?

Work / Salary and cost of living information - Krakow [257]

No doubt that New York is the most expensive city to live in in the United States.
If you moved from New York to Detroit you could live on 66% less salary yet still make only 25% less than New York City wages.
New York City has a population of 8.5 million people or 8,500,000 in an area of 469 square miles with a major port.
Krakow has a population of 760,000 people in an area of 126 square miles.
Detroit Michigan has a population of 680,000 people in 144 square miles. (Comparable to Krakow.)
Hamtramck is the Polish section of Detroit.
In Hamtramck you will pay roughly half of what you will pay in New York.
Wages per month in New York City, $4300, Krakow $900, Hamtramck $3200.
In Hamtramack Marlboro cigarettes are $6.50 a pack, local Budweiser beer is $5.50 a six pack and you can get a decent bottle of wine for $10. (Same as Krakow)

Rent in New York is $2500 a month, Krakow $450 a month and Detroit $800 a month.
Gas in the entire U.S. averages about $3.50 v.s. $6.00 a gallon in Krakow.
Coke/Pepsi for a liter is $1 at any shopping center in the U.S..
New York is the highest taxed city in the U.S. with 10 times the population of Krakow in an area only three times as big as Krakow.

(Hardly similar)
Yes, you make big money in New York City but it costs big money to live in that rat race too.
You can live in just about any major city in the U.S. for half of what it costs to live in New York.
New York is a far cry from my cup of tea.
If you want to run with the big dogs however, you have to learn to pee high.

Love / Are women from Poland scared of good looking guys? [48]

And then I arrived in Poland which is poorer country with less sophisticated ladies and I have slept with only ONE albeit very attractive girl ( a fotomodel).

Dear James Bond,
Are you sure this wasn't just a wet dream you had ?
I assure you that the sophisticated Polish ladies have the time however it seems you don't have the change.
Poland may not be as poor as you had hoped for.
Or maybe the one Polish lady that you claim, the (Fotomodel), to have been with put word out about you contracting sex warts and herpes from those other four fantasy continents that you brag of. I mean photo model.

Any advise which could help me get laid like I used to everywhere else.

Put on your Japanese jeans and go back to everywhere else.

Love / Are women from Poland scared of good looking guys? [48]

Sorry for misunderstanding.

Well I am sure you understand now after reading the the responses above.
May I suggest that you grow up and start thinking with your big head instead of your little one.
I would have to say that the consensus is that no one could be as rude and immature toward women intentionally.
That leaves only one option and that is that you are intentionally trying to get a rise out of the people here.
No one could possibly think you are serious with such condescending remarks toward females.
The joke was on us to think you were serious with your sick humor.
If it is not sick humor then it is time you get some professional help with your sexual frustration fantasies.
Do you have anything mature or constructive that you would like to share ?

News / Polish MP lives as a migrant in London earning £100 [21]

Too bad the Polish aren't going there to work. They are going for the free medical, free housing, free food, etc.

Just like the 15 million illegal Mexicans are doing here in the U.S.A.
The cost to our governments have stressed the welfare systems to the maximum.
They take away many entitlements that belong to the citizens of our country.
They have not been vaccinated bringing disease, require Spanish speaking teachers for their kids, learn every
welfare program available within a week and worst of all vote democrate.
I have heard how England is being stressed by 'foreigners for welfare' just like the U.S.A. costing the taxpayers a fortune.
Unfortunately it just one more nail in the coffin that has destroyed America.
Let me ad however that EVERY Polish migrant that I know in the U.S.A. has a job and works very hard without being on welfare.

Love / So I am told Polish men are a chivalrous bunch? [49]

One guy I met yesterday night insisted on helping me put on my sweater cardigan! I was like....well sure!

If he helps you take it off it is only polite that he helps you put it back on no matter what country you are in.

I haven't opened one door for myself the last two days I've been here.

Button your blouse and see what happens.

I am not shocked or amazed because it is a bad thing, but because this is not so common in my country.

The wide bottom femenist movement in the USA brought it on themselves because they want to be equal to men.
That is because in the USA there are so many Femanist Neo Natzi man haters that men are conditioned not to even look at women in fear of being maced or having the law called on them for sexual harassment.

However your statement is just not true as I see men opening doors for the smiling women on a daily bases just to get a smell of their perfume. The ones with attitude and an ornery glare might have to open her own door.

Love / So I am told Polish men are a chivalrous bunch? [49]

Button my blouse? You're hilarious.

That is exactly the way I meant it, I am glad appreciate my sense of humor.

And again, how funny you are to assume I'm a feminist and this is why in my home country men do not show me such chivalry. Or better yet, I'm just giving out glares.

No, you are assuming that I was assuming that you were a femanist. No where did I state you were a femanist.
Go re read my post a little slower for comprehension before you start assuming with attitude.

The ones with attitude might have to open her own door.

I was simply telling you "why" men in the US act the way they do in general compared to men in Poland.

Stop trolling love. Take a chill pill,

Gee Toots, you're the one amping out.

the next he is suggesting you are some crazed feminazi, probably wearing a boiler suit and steel toe capped boots

Girl you have one heck of an imagination to what probably I was suggesting.
I suggested no such thing, those are your words so you are doing the suggesting, not I.
Kids.........

Love / So I am told Polish men are a chivalrous bunch? [49]

are there actually women out there in this day and age who need a man to change the lightbulb for her?

yup, I have found some women don't even know how to peel a potato.

sad..... any such woman deserves a man stuck in the stone ages...

sad that such women need these chivalrous stone aged men's paychecks to survive
if the wife is happy, life is happy.

any such women deserves a man stuck in the stone ages

Johnny have you not noticed that women get their own paychecks these days?

Yup, These "Such Women" get married to these chivalrous stone aged men.
And being marriage is nothing more than legalized prostitution.......
Walla, an instant paycheck.
I am not saying all women are like that, just the "such ones" that deserve a man stuck in the stone ages.

Not all of them, mine doesn't.

Mine either.
I love spoiling her. Nothing like a woman who smiles.
Still must admit that Rosey seems to be a little outdated on today's chivalrous men.
No wonder she was so surprised when she met one.

UK, Ireland / Curious about differences Polish people see with the British? [95]

This thread is about differences Polish people see with the British.

Statistics speak for themselves as this article shows.

Britons spend more on drugs and prostitutes than on beer and wine, the first official study of money spent on "illegal" activities has found.

The figures were disclosed in data today that showed a 2.2 per cent rise in the amount of money spent by families over the past year as the economy returned to health.

The Office for National Statistics, which tracks changes in spending habits across the country, found miscreants spent an enormous £12.3 billion last year on illegal substances and sexual gratification. This was more than the amount spent on wine and beer in 2013, which was just under £11 billion, according to the ONS data.

The statistics body been forced by the European Union to investigate the amount of money splurged on illegal drugs and prostitution. Today was its final deadline to publicise the findings, which are now included in the national accounts. The EU said such work was necessary to create a fair comparison of different national economies.

UK, Ireland / Do people in Poland live "better" than here in the UK? [150]

It's the same in the USA - very restricted access to anything other than 'state owned land'.

How about the city parks, the county parks, state parks, hundreds of thousands of acres of State and Federal land, hundreds of miles of groomed walking, bike, motorcycle, four wheeler, snowmobile trails from one end to the other in any state of the union ?

It's so difficult to have honest comparative discussions that it almost makes sense to not have them. I'm waiting for someone to say, "Oh yeah, well my dad can beat up your dad....with one arm tied behind his back."

Yup and when they do the thread gets moved to the back page of OFF TOPIC.
I would think such things as the crime rate, morality, and cleanliness would out weigh food, tourism and free concerts.
Where would you rather raise your child should answer the question.

'have a nice day now!' has been imported from America; it isn't how we do things here...

Rather stuffy place I would have to say ole chap. Why the bur up the backside ?
I always get a 'Yak sha mush gee shay' with a smile by my Polish friends here in America.

Love / "going to dinner with my sis..." - approaching a Polish girl, help needed [46]

Put yourself in her shoes.
If she was interested in you, yet really did have plans with her sister, she would have replied.
"Sorry I have plans with my sis, hoping we can make it for another time soon."

Are u polish by the way?

LOL, everyone sure wants to know the answer to that for some reason don't they.

Love / Do Polish girls lose their virginity later than most [14]

but this so happens to be a dealbreaker for me.

So sad to hear that this would be a priority.
May I help educate you here.
20 year old men who stalk 16 year old children in America are frowned on heavily.
If you would have said you were looking for a twenty year old virgin for your 'priority' then it would be another story.
It is obvious that you desire something that you missed out on and now want to cash in on.
I suggest heavily that you start seeking a virgin your own age before you end up in prison.
Sixteen will get you twenty......or worse yet, a ****** off father with a double barrel shotgun.
It's better to be boxed in your corner then being boxed in the ground.

Also wondering how office affairs are perceived in poland?

So your goal here is to have an 'affair' with a fellow worker ? (Red flag)

What immaturity have u seen in me to make such conclusion?

Wanting to have an affair with a woman you don't know and your self pity party to start.

I ask for friendly advice on a girl I liked

And you got advice and you are still whining like there is some magic answer.
Start thinking with your big head instead of your little one.
We have no idea why she rejects you.
Maybe she sees that you just want to have an affair with her.
Maybe you are not quite as good looking as you think you are.
Maybe she sees your lack self confidence
Maybe you don't make enough money to meet her whims
Maybe she is a lesbian
Maybe you have bad breath
How are we suppost to know what she is thinking.

all u r capable of saying is to watch me burn or crash

Crash and burn from what ? You haven't even made it to first base yet.
So why blame us. (Red flag)

blame me for her not fancying me

(More pity) (Another Red flag)
If it is not your fault it must be hers cause it sure ain't mine.
Let's gather some facts here so we can help you.
How old are you ?
Have you ever had a girlfriend before ?
Do you have your own place or do you live with your parents ?
Do you own your own car ?
How tall are you and how tall is she ?
How much do you weigh ?
Are you bald ?
Is she marreid ?
Does she have children ?
Much more information is needed for us to help you get her nickers off.
Have you thought of asking a fellow female worker that you trust to innocently ask this nymph what she thinks of you.
This thread should have been named Dear Abby.

Travel / Where to buy marihuana in Warsaw? [38]

Dear Officer Colombiana,
Fishing again are you .
Gee, a real girl that wants to get high, how wrong could it go ?
It might even lead to sex in exchange for some free weed. WoW !
Yeah or better yet, be set up on some forum by the cops to get arrested.
(If you're not paranoid you're not paying attention.)
Go fish.
