USA, Canada / Pol-Am citizen wanting to move to Poland - documentations of my Polish ancestors? [14]

Hello, I am new to this site. I am a polish american born in the us but either my grandparents or greatgrandparents moved here from poland. i am having trouble trying to find info on them to see if there was any break in the citizenship from them to me. and also the documentation needed to prove my ancestors were polish citizens. does anyone have any ideas. i would appreciate it. my son also want to move to poland as well he is an adult.

i havent decided on what i expect to find yet. i am a class b truck driver in the us. i'm still researching though. and still haven't decided where. and i am working on my nest egg . i don't plan on moving for a few years or more. so its not something i am immediately going to do. it is something i am going to plan till i decide the what and where. this is not a decision i will be taking lightly.

I am in western New York. still a bit far away from you. my cousins and aunts and uncles live in Niagara Falls you have to come down for dingus day. There are alot of us living in buffalo and western NY.

also , you say successful guys. What level of success are we talking about. I have a good job own my house and a couple vehicles , but i am not rich. I know how to manage my expenses . I consider my self successful.

well said. and yes alot of people would consider success in different ways, most of which being rich. I consider success as being able to sustain your specific way of living without help from the government.

The only thing they're sure they are best at, is making war. And there, they're right.

America is a bully pushing their beliefs on cultures that most dont want.

Can someone please explain to me how a foreigner might be disrespectful to polish culture and traditions ?

I hear the jokes and rolling of their eyes when i tell them im polish. They say that figures. Ignorance is bliss to them.

Nobody ever rolled their eyes at me after I told them I was Polish.
As for the jokes, I usually tell them I've heard that joke and it was Italian.

Maybe it is just a New York thing lol.I usually finish the joke before they get to and say I heard that back in third grade get some new ones.
