Travel / Museums in Warsaw [8]

Hi Zooey,

I advice you to visit at least Warsaw Uprising Museum, the Chopin Museum and £azienki Królewskie. I haven't been in the Museum of Polish Jews, so I can't tell you my opinion, but it also can be interesting. I recommend also places outside Warsaw: Botanical Garden in Powsin, Żelazowa Wola.

Genealogy / trying to find records of Wyrembek and Topa [2]

Hi,

I'm affraid it will be hard, because all record books from this parish were burned during WWII :( The only years that survived are 1808-1837.

Greetings,
Barbara

Genealogy / Polish last name of Kochanik [5]

Walter was most probably Władysław. The name Kochanik is not very popular in Poland. I think you should consider also Kochaniak which is more popular and sounds very similar. Do you know where exactly did he come from? Or maybe his date of birth?

Greetings,
Barbara

Jenny, are you able to provide more detailed information on your grandparents? Their dates of birth, maybe marriage, where did they marry? Where and when was your mother born?
