Love / Wedding in Poland, Bydgoszcz Ideas! [6]

Hello Everyone.

I'm going to marry my partner in the next few years, so I have begun thinking about the wedding/reception.

My partner would like to have it in or around Bydgoszcz because the majority of her family are located there. However, she doesn't know much about the city, and I was brought up in London and have never even been to Poland!

I thought some people here might be able to help me. Does anyone have any ideas of what venues would could use? I wouldn't want to go over £5000 if, that's okay. There should be around 60 - 80 guests.

Also, she is vegetarian, which is fine by me but she said she would like the reception to be completely meat-free... I said okay, but the deal is that I get to pick the honey moon location! (^O^) I think that's fair...

Does anyone know of any good caterers we could hire for the reception?

I'm going to get married to the love of my life next year at Pałac w Ostromecku.

It'll be in June/July.

Can anybody tell me what it will be like? Weather or venue wise? I'm from the UK, so I have no idea about Polish Wedding Culture. Can anybody give me some advice?

Travel / Exchanging £5000 at a Kantor in Bydgoszcz [9]

I have a wedding in Bydgoszcz next year, and will need to exchange £5000 (GBP) in cash at a Kantor in Bydgoszcz.

What will I need to do? Are there any legal requirements I'd need to fulfill?

In the UK, you can't exchange over a certain amount without proof of identity, etc. What will I need to bring?

Would it be best to exchange it in parts? Such as £2500 next time I'm there, then £2500 the time after?

Hi.

For my honeymoon next year, can anyone recommend anywhere in Poland where I can rent a cabin/cottage with a fireplace, possibly next to a beautiful lake or forest or mountain?

My fiance is a big fan of 'The Blue Castle', so I'd like to recreate the little house surrounded by nature for her. :)
