Genealogy / Polish family, Palka [3]

I know this post is old but my maiden name is Palko. It used to be Palka but it was changed when my ancestors came to America. I have no history of this side of the family other than this bit of information. This is from my fathers side of the family.

Also, my great-grandmothers maiden name was Wrublewski on my mothers side of the family.

Weird to see both names in one post!

Genealogy / Searching for Helen Lygas / Rucinski & Szymanski [8]

This is an old post but I am also searching for the Szymanski surname. My great-grandmother was Mary Szymanski, her father was either Piotr or Boleslaw Szymanski and her mother was Apolonia Gawronski. Mary's marriage license lists her father has Piotr Szymanski but her death certificate lists him as Boleslaw Szymanski.

Merged: Searching for surnames LYGAS, RUCINSKI & SZYMANSKI

I've been researching my maternal grandfathers side of the family and looking for any information on the Rucinski and Szymanski surnames.

What I know:
Jan Rucinski born 1892 in Poland
Parents were Michael Rucinski & Mary Grysinski
Brother Peter Born 1896
Immigrated to US in 1910 for the first time with brother Peter.
Returned to Poland in 1921 to get married
Married Mary Szymanski in 1921 in Iwaniska, Poland
Returned to US in 1923

Mary Szymanski born 1901 in Poland
Parents were Peter Syzmanski & Apolonia Gawronski
Possible brother Peter - no family history of a brother but we recently found a piece of paper from Mary's son (my great uncle) stating Mary had a brother

Possible half sister Helen Lygos or Lygas. My grandfather remembers hearing about this woman but we know nothing else about her. We are assuming Helen and Mary had the same mother and different fathers but again, we have no idea.

Immigrated to US only one time in 1925, four years after marrying her husband and two years after her husband already left.

I'm curious if we still have family living in Poland! Any information would be greatly appreciated :)

Real Estate / Finding Land of my great grandmother from Poland [3]

I know this is a long shot but I figured what the heck!

My great grandmother used to own some land in Iwaniska that she was given in 1922. In 1969 she returned to Poland and gave the land to a Mr. & Mrs. Baranski. I have the deed of gift that describes the land and I am curious if anyone is in real estate in that area and might be able to look this land up for me. Again, I know this is a mega long shot but hey, it's worth a try! The land is listed as:

0.75 ha located in the town of Siedleczysko, district Iwanisko, borders from the east with the field of citizen Kabocinski Stefan, from the south with the road leading to the town called Zaldow, from the west with the road Lagowska, and from the north with a field with citizen Szczepanski Stanislaw.

Also, I've had some letters translated to English and one of them was signed as follows:
Rucinski, Antoni
W. Wolynskie
powiat Kostopol

There was some more writing at the end of this but it couldn't be fully translated. Some of it was....

Could someone please tell me where that is or give me a rough idea please! Thank You.

Real Estate / Finding Land of my great grandmother from Poland [3]

The 'p.ta Bystrzyca' was at the end of a letter that we believe either my great grandfather or his brother received from a cousin. I had the letter translated but the translator had a hard time with this part of the letter. They thought it was a military base in Poland maybe?!
