News / What is wrong with Poland that Poles emigrate? [167]

i asked a simple question and its been responded with, sarcasm and negative remarks to me personally, all i wanted to know is why England has become almost poland 2 in the last few years. not wanting to upset anyone just want to know why Englands so popular with
eastern Europeans at the moment, whats the rational behind everyone coming here?

Economics!

I'm not bragging about anything Puzzler.....and i'm not claiming to be the brightest person in the world, but its a decent job and i'm happy doing it....As for Most Poles in Britain not being able to speak English very well.....I don't remember exactly where I read this, but from my experience of the Polish who live around here, that does seem to be the case.

Poles on average have far better language skills than most Brits!

3000zl would be for native speakers working in smaller town and not major cities

Average rent for a flat in a smaller Polish town would be around 800zl

Food and bills a further 500zl

Spending money around 1700zl

Chance to visit a new country, learn a new language and experience a different culture priceless

Seems a fine way to spend a year or two!

UK, Ireland / Polish immigration in UK [491]

The English need to deal with these facts and stop blaming Joe Pole!

Besides it would be great to see the figures for the locals. Many a work shy Brit about town. That's for sure!

Im not anti polish and the few Polish people on this board will tell you this, but I am concerned about the state of my country.

I am also concerned about the state of your country. If things carry on like this (5.50 an hour) us Poles will have to start looking eslewhere for work. It's ok for Brits to earn such low wages in their own country, but what about us we have to send our families money At 5,50 there won't be a lot to send.
