Polonia / Any advice to apply full time bachelor's degree in Dutch college? [5]
Hi!
My son is interested in bachelor's program in Dutch college and need any advice or help
We are non European country passport holders who are currently living in Poland. My son is going to obtain diploma of International Baccalaureate program next year and wants to apply to colleges in Holland.
Most of the classmates are thinking about applying to British college and looked not much care about recent tuition raise. However, he is different and we care about tuition and living expenses in UK. We don't think any partial schlorships or extra job would be helpful for him even if he is accepted one of colleges in UK.
We have heard that collges in Dutch have many renownd English program ,and think tuition and living expenses are affordable for us. We thonght about German, French or Swiss but there are language barriers. My son speaks only Korean( mother tongue), Chinese, English, and little Spanish.
His choice has to be narrowed again because he is adments about his major.
He is interested not any Civil Englineering or Information Technology majors(they are more popular) but , Automotive, Aeronautics or Techical Engineering major. I spent a lot of time to search on the Internet that are fit for my son's favor and qualification. I narrowed down only three programs, Advanced Technology in Twente Unv., Aeronautical Engineeirng in Techical Unv. of Delft and, Automotive Engineering in Han Unv.of Applied Sciences. I hope he can be acceped to Delft because it's renowned college world wide. However, he is more like Han Unv. because he has been maniac about automobile since he was as lttle as 1 year old. His father thinks that this program starts for the first time and expects few trial and error and takes some time to settle down and wants him not to apply.
I have heard we can apply four schools on line in Duch college application system but, those are the few information I've got.
We have to prepare motivation letter and some say this style of motivation letter in Dutch is different in UK. We need any kind of information or advice , preferably professional help to apply for the college. I disappointed many times from his current high school and decide to try to find out private help even though it cost some money. Please let me know if anybody know college counselor for my son.
We've been here in Poland for 4 months and It's really hard and lonly to deal with this problem because it's not easy to find proper information or help and share our hardship.
hope good news!!!
