Polish food is the best...Yum !!! How can you not like ?! so much tastier then say Macdonalds or the over process cardboard foods in this supermarkets...hehe... actually I made this Barszcz baily - Polish white borscht soup just the other day..also known as Zurek...you put in Polish Kielbasa...mmm

This is because now you have made her accustomed to receiving an easy life...this forms a habit of expecting what she always got...did you discuss this beforehand ? before you started helping her out ?

I think you need to be firm or tell her she needs to contribute or maybe move out...or you can just go to the shops buy your stuff and she can't touch until she gives half haha...actually where is her kindness ? she sounds very selfish and thoughtless...

but then again you have contributed to this by accepting it for 2 years...it's like trying to remove a treat from a child after they get it all the time...very hard to stop the tantrum lol...

sorry it was not written for a comparison as such... but what modern society picks up to eat...in reference to Macdonalds...

in other words...people be picky about these delicious cultural foods but yet keep coming back to fast food as such...

Language / I want to learn Polish. Where to start? [180]

I'm learning Polish too...I have a beautiful Polish guy and also many Polish friends and my guy is happy because sometimes he doesn't understand some words in English so he can't wait for me to learn this...he'll be waiting a while before I'm even good at this hahaha...

I think the best way to learn is repetition and consistent everyday...and face to face with others speaking it...also a night class or weekend class ...

And I will also say listen and watch Polish music on Youtube !!! I do this and repeat the songs over and over and some I can sing haha...also some have lyrics with the song so you can see how it is spoken...it's a fun way also...

I went to Poland last year and picked up good books [also a picture dictionary] that had a cd in it they also have a website you can buy online and I think it is very good one...

Love / How do Polish guys feel about having an older girlfriend/wife? [30]

I have never come across any guy that had problems with me being older then them...does not matter the country they are from...I only date younger because that is who I connect with better...

Not that I would have passed up older...just that the instant understanding connection has been there with the late 20's guys...also maybe has to do with my mindframe being that of the younger feeling...

I don't know...no one believes my age anyway...

Incidentally my Polish guy is 26 and I am 37 hehe...perfect connection to date :-D Love my man :-)

The key is consistent and repetition to get those tricky sentences remembered...

When you understand how some letters are pronounced for example the Ż , ł , ą
and so forth then it becomes less confusing...

One big favourite of mine is watching youtube Polish songs where the lyrics are written up on the screen..I recently have started this and it has made the pronouncing of words less confusing and

also familiarises yourself with how they come together...plus it puts the fun in learning...you can learn to sing along as I do this and much easier to get use to pronouncing those words...

heres one of my favourite songs from Polish singer Gosia Andrzejewicz ... I already know the lyrics just by repeating this song over and over haha [I learnt it by hear before I found the lyrics one]...and I practise everyday singing them



When you have learnt some basics just talk to your mum in Polish bit by bit...

also maybe there is a class on a Saturday...usually they have Polish community classes on the weekends or night class at a university or something depending what country you are in...

you could google Polish language and your town to see if anything is listed...I think face to face will better your chances to learn quicker and build confidence...

Because we all know confidence is what helps to speak in front of someone

News / A Polish man has woken up from a 19-year coma [8]


Looks like he died from a heart attack in 2008

Information about the death of John Grzebski confirmed on Tuesday physiotherapist Wojciech Pstrągowski which, through exercises woke him from his coma . The news of the wonderful wybudzonym man went around the world media .

- Mr. John had a holiday heart attack, then lay in the hospital in Olsztyn , had carried koronografię , rehabilitation was interrupted at the time - said Pstrągowski . He added that John Grzebski died on Friday , most likely had a second heart attack.
