Law / Selling used furniture and appliances in Poland [7]

Hello,

I am moving to a new apartment in December and would like to sell some of my existing furniture and appliances as my new apartment is already fully furnished. The items that I would like to sell are: Samsung washing machine, wardrobe, drawer cabinets, bathroom cabinet, chest of drawer, etc. All items were bought in July this year and are almost new and in perfect condition.

Can someone please suggest where and how can I sell these items? Some people suggest that I go online and sell them on Gumtree or Allegro; however, these websites are in Polish and I do not speak or understand the language.

What options do I have?

rgds

Law / Selling used furniture and appliances in Poland [7]

Hi,

The model is Samsung WF1600NHW Diamond (6Kg). The machine was purchased in July 2012 and is hardly used. It has 1 year guarantee or may be even more. I can check this from the gaurantee card and confirm later.

I am in Warsaw and expecting 700 PLN (negotiable).

rgds.

Real Estate / Best residential areas in Wroclaw to live in? [27]

Hello,

I am planning to move to Wroclaw from Warsaw in a couple of months and wanted to know which are the good residential areas to stay. I am looking for newly developed, high class, modern, luxury apartments or houses with covered car parking, kids play areas and shopping facilities.

Any suggestions? Please also suggest some good agencies who I can approach to help find one such place to stay.

Many thanks!

Life / Where can I give away used clothes in Poland? [10]

Hi,

Does any one know of any place in Warsaw where I could give away used clothes (men, women and infant clothing). I have lots of clothes that I would like to discard and hate to through them in the garbage bin. Most of them are in pretty good condition and it would be nice if someone in need could use them.

Thanks in advance!

Life / What's the climate and food like in Warsaw? (I am a student from India) [10]

I wanted to know the general climatic conditions in Warsaw so that I could get an idea about the clothes that I need to be ready with.

Like most people have advised the weather starts to get cooler Oct onwards and you might need a light jacket in the evenings. Dec to Mar are very cold. My advice to you will be not to worry about clothing much as you can buy everything here at a reasonable price as the weather demands.

What kind of vegetables do we get in Warsaw? Also I wanted to know if there are Indian spices available

It is possible to get most of the vegetables here. There are a few indian stores here where you can get most of the spices and some vegetables too.

Life / Cost of living in Wroclaw (rent price too) [119]

I think that Work Visa is not specific for one employer

You are right. Work permit is specific to job/employer and not the resident permit/visa. You should apply for a temp resident permit 45 days before your current visa expires.

The area around GrabiszyƄska is not too bad if you're looking for something with fairly cheap rent not too far from the Rynek

I am not looking for anything cheap nor something near the center. I am looking for a good residential complex which is probably enclosed and secured with covered parking, play areas for kids within the complex - something similar to Marina Mokotow, Eko park or Nowy Wilanow in Warsaw.

Although my work place is in the centre, I don't mind driving a few kilometres as long as the place is good.
