USA, Canada / Canadian/Polish marriage and procedures [5]

I've been working and studying in Poland on and off over the last 3 years, and it's come to the point that my Polish boyfriend and I would like to get married. However, we are not sure if we'd like to do it in Canada or Poland, as we are not clear on the exact procedure required for each country and what the outcome of marriage would be (i.e., citizenship, residence, right to work, etc.). We are trying to plan for our future and a lot would rest on this decision.

Some questions:

1. What procedure/documentation is required by each of us to get married in Poland? In Canada?
2. What procedures, if any, would I have to follow after the marriage to acquire a residence permit in Poland? Right to work? Citizenship? And what procedures would my husband have to follow for Canadian residence/right to work/citizenship?
