WOW!!!
I thought I had a good weekend, taking into consideration how well the Football club I support played, but reading the replies here, I just felt sick!!

so much hatred in here!I would be sharing these responses with my GF too, she would be as disappointed as myself.

Amathyst--Don't know what experieces you had to hold so much anger in you, it is a pity, but definitely, I ignored all your posts after your first comment.

Yes, I wouldn't date a Polish woman for a passport, there are American women to date to 'get' an american passport, French women or even British women( yes, in that order of priority for ;benefits').

RAG report- thanks, you did go through my entire post, and you have an opinion, you are entitled to have one, but it takes a strong character to know when to keep quiet & when to speak & you aint one.

The only reason for the "RAG" was to remove the general,quickfire replies'oh he is doing it for the passport' I intended to explain that this is not the idea at all.

Beelzebub- No, Beelzebub, it definitely is not the most assured way, I am sure there must be some other 'assured' ways,but I don't intend to marry to get a passport!!and I don't care about a passport at all!!!

RevokeNice--Thanks for the advice, I think I am scared now to go to Ireland,But again, is Ireland a preferred travel/living destination? I think not.

ShawnH--That was wrong and very impolite, if you are Polish, to call a polish woman cow,its just wrong, I am ssuming you are an English man drinking a lot of lager in the pub & passing comments about every lady/woman you see,

Mister H--- maybe I wasn't clear--when I meant benefits-- like not the 250 Pounds a month a lot of people take as 'benefits' by claiming unemployment! maybe the word 'benefits' raised a red flag, I would like to very much continue here in the UK, work(legally) & she could move here, but she freaks out at the mention of living in London, cos she thinks only 'blue collar polish workers' move to London.

and, I had a lovely weekend, watched a lovely football game at the stadium & just got back, wasn't online & didn't check this forum.

Bullfrog-- I agree with you, it is mindboggling & disappointing, makes me sick, who are these people?!! but again, that bomb statement wasn't necessary, the people who have posted such statements, are angry,frustrated, irritated & a lot of their anger is misplaced, its being directed at everyone, I am wondering how they are in real life.

The whole idea of posting on this forum was wrong!!! The only reason I was 'directed' to this site thanks to Google, its the no.1 site when you search for anything related to Poland.

Anyways, I have decided that all this asking questions on a forum is a waste of time (pierdoly as my gf would say!),I guess, I will just take my gf to India, get married to her in a nice Indian ceremony, la Bollywood style, cos she thinks it could be fun & to invite some of her friends as well, at least I would have a good time that way!!

But,I am so tempted to show these posts/responses to her friends & colleagues to know where these people live & what is bothering them!

yes, it is one option we are looking at, definitely. But the options(career wise) for her are very limited for her.
And while it may appear too early for me to assume that it would be easier for me to adjust in Europe, I am positive that over a period of time it wouldn't be for her to continue to live in India.

I am a little disturbed that almost all the responses here are with a preconceived notion, 'he is doing it for the passport'!
why not just 'he is marrying a polish girl' end of topic.

It is very difficult for me to understand all the negativity here, and someone rightly said here that I posted a personal 'problem' & ended up learning a 'valuable'(?) lesson!

Mister H,--having 2 years on my visa, stay here & enjoy, don't know what you are trying to say. I have 'enjoyed' working in India, in UK, in US, in Singapore, in Shanghai (do a google you will know where it is & look at some pics of the lovely city) & in Brazil.

when you are well educated,dignified,charming, earn a good living & treat a woman right, it doesn't matter, I am sure a lot of women on the forum would agree,

the more you respond with statements like 'people like you' the more it reflects your ignorance.,definitely a lot of misdirected anger here.

I could live in Poland or I could in France or I could in India or in India!!! what's all the fuss about? but, I am defintely impressed the role you have taken as the problem solver of a 'third world immigrant'

I think, i have caused a lot of anger among the members by saying 'what are the benefits?' should I say 'privileges'? 'additional perks'?.
Maybe I will post another topic asking info on which offices to contact & how to go about marrying a Polish girl.

I have already mentioned that I have known her for THREE years, so, I know what I can do & what I can say & what I should do.

Nika, my apologies, I didn't thank you in my earlier post.
you hit the nail on its head, i didn't have any 'hidden agenda', I mentioned 'benefits' very casually, now I know I opened a can of worms! there is too much hatred on this forum for foreigners having Polish girls as their girlfriends or partners, could you explain why?

In my posts, I specifically highlighted the part of us being working professionals , and that we have known each other for a while so that the esteemed forum members could understand that it is not a marriage for a passport!!!!

I never for a minute thought that this discussion would go in this direction.

Point 1. You are not on the correct visa, you will not be able to marry her if you are not on a spousal visa.

Point 4. The Home Office do not have to grant their approval.

Thats a great option! 6 months in India would be bliss for her, we could live there during the winter! my complaint would be about the football games I could miss or stay up late cos of the time difference!

no! why would you assume that this would be only MY decision?! It was a thought!!!
I feel it wasn't selfish at all, it would be a great break for her to live in India during the worst possible weather!, but all this won't be done at the expense of her career or job!! especially in these hard times.

But, what did I say that made you assume that I am obsessed with living in the UK?
I have 'lived' in Poland in December & in Feb, and It is not a problem for me to stay in Poland as well, and we had agreed that 'taking a break' in India during the winter is the best.

Anyways, thanks for the input abt the legal immigration aspect.

It is necessary for any person coming from 'a developed' nation like yourselves Revoke, cos your immune system isn't as strong as a person born/living in India.

and you need to make your body resistant to it, while it is not compulsory, its precautionary & advisable. I have had a few friends coming from US,UK,France,Holland & Germany, lived and worked without any health issues, and they worked in the slums!

It is a pity that your limited knowledge blinds you to see things in such a light.

by the way, will be posting the necessary sites & documents needed info, this week as I have an appointment with a lawyer who would be helping(?) me get married here in London.
