USA, Canada / Polish Churches in Milwaukee, WI [7]

Anyone know of Polish churches in Milwaukee that has service in Polish (vs English)? I know there are more than one, but I'm looking for the most popular that most Polish speaking people (vs people whose Ancestors are Polish) in Milwaukee attend. Thanks!

People in Poland would love you for your nice and such an open smile, that's for sure!
Just be yourself, that's what counts! Don't try to be a Polish....you have a time to learn things about the culture!

Bolek, just stop already. LoL

So Tomek was talking to his parents and all of his aunts and uncles, and they are really excited for me to visit! His older sister, who is my age, just got married and I will be staying with them for a few days in Warsaw. Then I will stay with his parents for the rest of the time in Suwalki. During this time, I'm somehow supposed to visit all of his aunts and uncles. I'm really excited to go. It's going to be an adventure especially since he isn't going!

If anyone cares for an update. I went to Poland and it was AMAZING! His whole family loved me. I would move there in a heartbeat if I had the opportunity.

And yes Bolek, people did like me. Polish women were extremely friendly, and his family kept teasing me because a lot men on the street, in the mall, at restaurants, etc. kept giving me googly eyes...They must have thought I was cute :-)

I am getting married... Visa requirements for guests

I am getting married in a few months and my fiance's sister, best friend, and cousin plan to come to our wedding, but they need to obtain visas to enter into the US.

His cousin said something about me submitting paperwork to the US Dept of Immigration formally inviting me to the wedding so they can get their visas. I've heard something about it, but I'm not sure what the form is called. My fiance overstayed his visa, so I think that may have something to do with it, but I'm not sure.

Does anyone know anymore about this process of me submitting an application so they can obtain visas to come to the wedding? If so, please let me know. Any help is appreciated.

Language / Polish Nickname - Mikołaj = Miko? Elżbieta, Wiktoria [14]

My husband and I are having our first child, a baby boy! I really like the name Mikołaj and I'm wondering if anyone knows of a nickname. I started calling him Miko, but I'm not sure if there is another name associated with Mikołaj. Any suggestions are appreciated!
