Poland-My 9-day experience [239]
This thread is a good laugh!
Some parts of Poland are pretty ugly. Look at the dirty, grey buildings in Warsaw, I was in an ugly area of Gdansk last month. A bit depressing (one of my friends lived there!). And if you don't want to be even more depressed, don't go anywhere near a hospital! Well the three that I have visited looked more like Arkham Asylum.
But there are of course beautiful parts of Poland as well. The Tatry in the winter look amazing.
Some suburbs in Melbourne are pretty bad too. Just go for a walk in Collingwood and see how many needles you step on! Anywhere around housing commission flats look dodgy. All countries have there good and bad parts. Some more than others.
There are waves in Poland, occasionally. Just need the right conditions on the Baltic. It's only wind chop though. Anyone expecting waves in Poland has either no knowledge of how the weather works, failed geography/science or is just ignorant.
Hospitality in Poland is a joke though. The reason McD & KFC were the most courteous is because these companies originated in America.
Anyway, who cares?!?! If you didn't like Poland, don't come back!
