Study / Polish language courses....Suggestions wanted. [12]

Merged: Learning Polish while vacationing in Poland?

Hi all - I am visiting Poland in January/February of next year. I want to take Polish courses to help me with the language (I will need this for graduate school). Any suggestions on how to do this? I plan on staying in Poland anywhere from 2-4 weeks. Thank you.

Study / Polish Language Programs in Poland [3]

Hi there - I am looking to study Polish in Poland sometime in the next year or two. I already have a degree so this does not need to be college credit material.

I'm looking to stay for about a month. What programs do you recommend?

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Dzienkuje!

Life / Golden Wedding in Poland, the protocol for giving gift for a wedding? [58]

Merged: What to give a Polish couple as a Thank-You gift?

Cześć! I am in Kraków for the month and have a friend's wedding in Poznań this weekend. I am staying with the groom's family at their home. They are picking me up from the airport and I feel that I should have a small gift for them to say thanks for letting me stay here. What is a nice gift? I already have a bottle of sake (I live in Japan) for them. Any ideas?

dziękuje, bardzo!!

Language / When to use biernik? When to use dopełniacz... Narzędnik? [4]

Dzień dobry! I have been studying Polish language and am quite confused about the many cases.
I have learned nominative, narzędnik, biernik and dopełniacz. However, I don't know when I am supposed to use each.

If I am giving any sentence in English and need to translate it into Polish, I will have no clue which form to use!

Is there an easy explanation to help me?

Dziękuje bardzo!
