Life / British sky satellite TV in Poland [87]

Thread attached on merging:
British TV in Poland

Hi,

Is there any way to watch British TV in Poland? Here's what I found so far: (www-goes-here)uktv2c.com (I can't post links properly yet, so you'll have to copy and paste that one). It looks good, but expensive. Are there any other ways to watch BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, BBC4 and other British national channels in Poland? I am moving back to Poland this summer and I want to stay in touch with the English language. I know there already is a thread related to this topic on this forum, but it's quite old and maybe there were some new developements. Please share your experiences in this subject.

News / "Poles want cut on foreign workers" - (in Poland obviously) [47]

I always wonder, how spoilt, lazy and uninspired must be people who complain about immigrants taking over their jobs. Come on, how unintelligent must they be if they can't compete with people who hardly speak the language, have hardly any money, no home, no family support, no friends. Despite those disadvantages and encountered hostility, immigrants beat locals on the job market, and still manage to save and send money home. Many of them on top of that educate themselves in their free time! Well done immigrants, keep it up all over the world. You deserve the money and jobs more than obese Westerners. By the way I don't think Poland can afford getting rid of cheap workforce, as any other country. I don't support what the Polish government does. Poland could also do with some more ethnic diversity if we want to get rid of rampant prejudice and nationalism.

It makes me laugh when English speaking people talk about staying in one's own country. So why is it exactly that North America, Australia, half of Africa, India etc now use English as first or official language?

So you aprove of the exploitation of cheap labor.

That does not make sense. Most of the immigrants would not have any work whatsoever if they did not emigrate from their own countries, so what kind of exploitation are you talking about?

You really don't get it do you!

No, I get it quite well, thank you very much. I am enjoying myself in England, earning enough money to pay for my education and mortgage I have back in Poland. I'm just slightly worried that at the moment nobody is working for my pension there, I was hoping a Chinese person would but now you guys are telling me my government isn't letting them.
