I WAS IN POLAND TWICE IN THE LAST 2 YEARS AND STARVED NEAR TO POINT OF COLLAPSE! THE POLISH KITCHEN IS NOT VEGAN FRIENDLY BY ANY MEASURE. I HAVE GONE IN TO RESTAURANTS WITH MY POLISH HUSBAND WHO SPECIFICALLY ORDERED FOR ME (FOR EX. BOILED POTATOES AND GREEN SALAD) AND IT WOULD APPEAR WITH POTATOES GLISTENING IN BUTTER AND THE GREEN SALAD SMOTHERED IN SOUR CREAM. EVEN MY MOM-IN-LAW WHO KNOWS WAS COOKING SPECIAL SIDES FOR ME ONLY TO USE THE SAME FORK TO CHECK POTATOES AND TURN THE PORK STEAKS..SHE WAS SO BUSTED AND I WAS SO DAMN HUNRY I COULD CRY

First of all I do not speak polish so to try to help in the kitchen would be impossible and 2nd this was my first meeting with my in-laws and I do not help myself in other peoples homes unless invited to do so...I am a chef myself. I also felt bad for her/them as they worried about me.
