News / Pole loses language discrimination case in Germany; Scandalous! [97]

Because the Jugendamt is involved...

Why do you assume all is peachy? Because the father is polish??
There are millions of polish-german families where there is no problem whatsoever...so don't try
to sell me the Jugendamt hunts poor Poles down and wants to steal their half-german children for sport!

If there serious probability of that happening, there should have provided interpretor or recorded what he was saying

That's what they are doing....the no-polish action is taken only when they can't provide a polish speaking/understanding social worker.

And recording sexual abuse or threats is a tad..erm...to late!

Its not for the institution to arbitrary decide in what language parents are allowed to speaking to their children.

Normally not, but that wasn't an normal case. The man could only meet his children under supervision, the mother has the sole rights, so this case has a background which doesn't look so good for the father.

And if the suspicion is so great that the social worker need to understand what he is talking then you should wonder why that is.

If I were the father and meeting the children would be all what counts for me because I love them so much. Using german (that I know for 30 years and even teach) with my half german children would be the last on my mind.

But instead he makes a case out of it...strengthening all the suspicions about this man I might have, sorry!
He doesn't seem to care about his children or meeting them at all, only that he can speak with them in a language nobody else can understand... WONDER F*UCKING WHY!!!

What the heck does he want to tell them nobody else should know???

News / Poland and Kresy being reunited? [162]

I'm all for that but explain to me how exactly do you imagine taking over Ukraine.

It seem we both ultra-nationalists are the lone sane people left here...

I never thought I would have to throw Iron into the same nutter bin as Crow!
You know that your whole plan would lead to Poland destroyed, isolated and occupied?
You would lose more than you have now, you would throw the future you are building now...but who knows Germany might get a chunk of western Poland back when you are down and out after your failed adventure! ;)

And the image of Poland world wide would change from the brave and plucky to the agressive and greedy! With no sympathies anymore whatsoever. The winner would be poor Ukraine!

They wouldn't even need to fight just to cry for help to NATO and EU.
They for sure will get a chunk out of loser Poland. That's the rules...ask Germany, ask Serbia!

I hope the polish patriots and nationalists who really care for their countries well being will prevail!

A better, more logical and successfull plan (even if it will take another generation or two) would be to drag the Ukraine in the EU, invest heavily, be done with the borders...that way it can grow together again what belongs together, peacefully and the the people might even say "Thank you!"

Well...even if he tells them some sexual abuse or threatens them? Interesting...

PS: The mother and the children are German...so if the father after 30 years living and working in Germany can't deal with it...screw him!

Are you familiar with the term "Germanization"? It seems, this is the thing he not wants to be done to his children.

Well, he should had thought of that BEFORE he himself came to Germany and lived and worked there for 30 years, married a German and got half-german offspring...to f'ucking late I would say!

Still, the sheer number of cases is appallig.

Not really...when you go down to it it's always the same few cases...about 12 I've read, mostly from the same source, CEE.

And the fact that Poles need to speak to theirs kids in German, even if neither kid nor parents speak German is clear sign of Jugendamt's ill will.

What do you think supervision means?
If they don't have a social worker who understands polish maybe they should better forbid the visit at all?

For someone who lived 30 years in Germany and even works as a teacher it shouldn't be a to heavy price to pay for being allowed to visit his children.

That he makes such a bruhaha about it is quite puzzling....maybe he has other reasons for that.
What is it that he wants to tell his children that the social worker and their mom shouldn't know about?

PS: The kids are half german and definitely speak and understand german, as does their father...I really wonder what that is all about, but you not of course. It can only be the mean Nazi-Jugendamt with it's sinister polish-children-stealing-plans who is to blame here...

German efficacy, I guess.

Oh f*uck off...you seem to be the typical Pole who only expect and thinks the worst of Germany. No rational discussion possible.
Be happy with your prejudices! The Jugendamt is alright!

As I understand CEE is an association of parents wronged by Jugendamnt.

They SAY they were "wronged". That's hardly objective...and I don't expect them to be.
But sadly for us the Jugendamt takes care to not gush and blather on about the children in their care as open in the internet as those from the CEE do.

They keep quiet and tight to protect their charge!

So it's hardly a fair exchange of arguments as we will not get the needed information to make ourselves an unbiased judgement.

Probably out of spite?

I couldn't find any objective article of the Jugendamt in English.
Nearly all english article come from the same CEE source which seems to be in some kind of witch hunt.
But seriously everybody who calls the Jugendamt NeoNazi and Nazi-Lebensborn institution wanders immediately into the bin as the nutter they are.

To bad you never hear about the good work they do, the children they get out of horrible families, children who get beaten, abused and sexually assaulted by their own parents, whose last and often only hope the Jugendamt is.

But for that you would need to understand german...so...

They do good work! ;)

Here is some info about the works of the Jugendamt.
de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jugendamt

Alot of little poor fellows owe them their health and lifes, accept that or not!

It surely happens that errors are being made, the social workers are human only, but in the end they do much more good than bad.

Do you have a less biased source please...

I'm not sure the Neo-Nazi Jugendamt is that much interested in abducting and stealing black children too!
I really think they prefer blonde and blue eyed polish children..

Yes. And it should be the responsibility of the Jugendamt to supply interpreters if they think such are necessary.

I'm sure they sought everywhere...but find someone who speaks Zulu is hard too!

Again, if he's such scum why does he have visitation rights at all?

Again...I don't know....maybe the Jugendamt was lenient and was trying to be nice to not break up the contact between children and father completely - but only under supervision.

How bad of them!

By freer I mean that overall people are freer to live their lives how they want to (partly because of a healthy distrust of authority) than they are in nanny state Germany.

Tell me more about it...right now it's only an empty phrase. You are an American, when, where and how long did you live in Germany to compare?

And what was so wrong with the US that you prefer Poland?

why do you defend them?

The Jugendamt does good work and already helped alot of the most needy little ones.
And that Poles are quick to demean german institutions and feel victimized about nothing is an old card....

4. Even if the father is scum (which is a possiblity) if he has visitation rights they should be on his terms

You've got to be kidding!

Even if the father is scum and the health and safety of the children is threatened the visits should be on HIS terms????

Dear god!

I definitely prefer life in Poland, it's much freer.

Define "freer"...Your dollar makes for a good life in zloty-Poland or what do you mean?

3. You don't know one bit more about the specifics of this case than I do.

Well...I also didn't accuse the Jugendamt of being Neo-Nazis...

The jugendamt has several times already been criticised by european authorities for their treatment of non-Germans (not just Poles)

I'm fairly sure Germans complain as often...shows only that the Jugendamt takes their jobs seriously.
The bring the children into safety if their is a risk of them getting hurt. They will given back only
if any doubt is proven wrong. Of course their are complainst...better take good care of your children before hand!

Great arguments.

With you the best!

I just find it funny that the first to blame for you Poles is the german Jugendamt, of course only out to discriminate Poles...even if the father might be a horrible person and the Jugendamt tries to rescue the children from him...

You are such idiots! Hopeless!

Did you just say that?

No...Poles say that...all the time...and the Jugendamt is our new SS...out to steal your precious polish children left and right, didn't you hear that?

News / Pole loses language discrimination case in Germany; Scandalous! [97]

But Poland shares a border with Germany. Polish is the fifth (or sixth) most spoken language in the EU. IT doesn't say anything good about Germany if Germans think of it like Zulu.

Well, it's a fact...take it or leave it.
Some Ossis were forced to learn russian back in the day but that was it.

My point is an English speaker would never meet the kind of discrimination in Germany that Poles routinely meet.

Nope...
The case was that the Jugendamt forbade him to speak polish if they can't provide a polish-speaking social worker who understands what he is telling his children.

If the same fear for the children would be about english-speaking children the action token would be the same. But as there are english-speaking socialworkers much easier to find you won't hear about such problems.

And leave it to the Poles to take an absolutely ordinary handling of such a case and make it to a "those mean Germans hate us poor Poles and steal our children and discriminate us and are all around to bad to us bwaah bwaah" - case!

then why does he even have visitation? If it can be proved then he should have no visitation, if it can't be proved then don't micromanage parent-child relations.

Wot? You don't have all the answers to these questions? You don't know much about this case at all? You have no idea about the background and why the Jugendamt does what it does?

Can't be!

Why don't just stay with "The Germans just don't like Poles and do everything to spite us!"
It's so much easier!

I remember a similar case from a few years ago where a judge ruled that one parent speaking Polish to the child could have a harmful effect on their linguistic development.

Maybe it's still the same case....

PS: Germany's big town ghettos are full of future-welfare-recipients whose parents didn't took the pain to speak with their offspring the language of the host country...now they have no school certificate, can't get any better education nor jobs!

The Jugendamt has a point here too..

There are thousands cases, check here:

Why don't they just leave and go back to Poland!
NeoNazi-Germany must be a horrible place to be for polish subhumans and their offspring.
I really wonder why they still queue up and want in!

the fact remains that in Germany Polish is hardly some rare exotic language like Zulu or Telugu.

For non-Poles it is.
I don't know anybody who speaks it...only Poles or relatives speak it.
It's like Zulu for Germanics...

It's a disgrace that the office in question is too incompetent to provide Polish speaking staff (or interpreters).

Stop living in Germany and move back to Poland - a better alternative if Germany is so disgraceful to poor Poles, and voila...no problems with the Jugendamt anymore.

Would an English speaker be treated like this?

Everybody speaks english...it wouldn't be as hard to find an english speaking social worker!

Since he has visitation rights, then he should be able to speak to his children in Polish. Shame on Germany for this.

Maybe he is raping or beating his children when nobody looks...yeah shame on Germany for trying to prevent it!

This Jugendamt thing is apparently notorious for stealing children of Poles living in,

Blahblahblah

Crap!

Sadly, for some reason our government refuses to take any steps about it.

Wonder why?

Better stop believing your tabloid press!

It was strongly suggested that neo nazism is prevalent in the ranks of Judgendant,

Yeah sure...definitely, that is it!

Life / Do Polish People steal a lot? [330]

I agree but the only way you’ll ever stop bribery is when people stop trying getting favors and stop offering it.

First being unlawful should get an "negative" image (with the help of he media), so that people get a bad feeling doing that and second install a sharp, smart agency hunting down black marketeers, tax evaders, bribers everywhere and punish them hard, so that they start to fear doing that.

Together that will help sooner than you think! :)

PS: Just a few days back a second CD full of names with big time tax evaders resurfaced in Germany...they are sh*itting their pants now :)

Too often, not much, if any evidence is needed (many, many examples provided on request).

Well, yes...we have this pro-mother bias in Germany too. The fathers are often in a difficult situation to prove who is right and wrong.

There was just recently a new law installed which should help fathers to fight better for their rights in cases of acknowledgement of paternity and divorces.

Business is business; giving more will always yield better results.

Nope....every society has their black sheeps (Germany too) but you should better keep a lid on black market, theft, tax evasions and bribery, not accepting it as normal and "okay"....it's rotting the economy in the long run, just look at Greece!

Bratwurst Boy why is it that Poles are not recognized as an ethnic minority in Germany, we've been there for centuries, as you say we integrate well,

God, how often do I have to explain this...
Okay...again:

Poles are not a native (autochthone) minority in Germany as are the Sorbs in Saxony/Brandenburg or people who became a minority as the Danes in Schleswig-Holstein due border shifting.

Poles immigrated into Germany for political and/or economical reasons...they are as much an ethnic minority as the Turks and the Spanish and the Italians and the Greeks and all the others who came to Germany for work over the time.

Germans in Poland on the other hand became a minority in Poland because of border shifting. They are a native minority as the Danes who live now in Schleswig-Holstein. (The Germans in Danmark on the other side of the border of Schleswig-Holstein have the same minority rights).

Can you spot the differences?

PS: There IS a polish council in Germany and they ARE getting funds from Germany!

Could be resolved though by getting a Polish speaking supervisor.

The article says he is only forbidden to speak polish IF the Jugendamt has no polish speaking supervisor ready...
So sometimes they have, but sometimes they have not.
When they have on he can speak polish to his children to his hearts content.

But I agree...if the wife has the sole right of contact and access and he can see them only under supervision there has to be definitely some history with this guy!

The Jugendamts first duty is the security of the children and youth...

But he lives in Germany, all the institutions are German, why would they get a Polish supervisor for just one guy?

There are of course social worker who speak more languages than only German...they come from all circles of the society...some speak turkish, arabic, italian, greek, spanish and of course polish too.

But they won't have a polish speaking one committed to this special case only!

Don't sink the goddamn Lusitania

The US already did support GB with weapons and munitions even as they were bound by their declaration of neutrality. They were warned by the Germans: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMS_Lusitania#Last_voyage_and_sinking

This ship was FULL of ammunition and weapons...you were warned about breaking your neutrality and that the ship was entering war territory.

A dive team from Cork Sub Aqua Club, diving under license, discovered 15,000 rounds of the .303 (7.7×56mmR) caliber rifle ammunition transported on the Lusitania in boxes in the bow section of the ship. The find was photographed but left in situ under the terms of the license.[74] In December 2008, Gregg Bemis's dive team estimated a further four million rounds of .303 ammunition were on the ship at the time of it's sinking.

...and the british propaganda used it to the fullest to bring the US on their side into the war.
Congrats for falling for that trap!

...
Professor William Kingston of Trinity College, Dublin has said, "There's no doubt at all about it that the Royal Navy and the British government have taken very considerable steps over the years to try to prevent whatever can be found out about the Lusitania".[72]

...wonder why?

And unfortunately.. the country probably has forgotten US help... Or dismissed it. Natural, I guess..

You shouldn't mix the lefty loud mouthes with the more conservative but much quieter majority.
Sadly you won't hear them as much as they are much more busy with actually working and running the country. They will never forget.

But it's true that most Germans have no global ambitions whatsoever and if the US asks for german support in some hellhole elsewhere on the Globe it's not very popular in Germany.

I wish we (the US too) would stop that.

But it's true, the US is fastly becoming broke will have shortly have to leave the continent. Yaayy for taxpayers! Like ME!

I've just read somewhere that the numbers of Americans immigrating into Germany is actually rising! Welcome back home! :)

Not sure Germany will stay in the EU as it's voters are now strongly wanting out based on the Greece debacle. What I've heard anyway.

That was a warning shot....something has to change...we will see...
