I'm on that with you. Founds not only from EU but all public funds are handles badly. the ~Problem is that Poland is ruled by Soviet Poles and their clique of commie secret police. Their take on public money is - how to get a piece.

So far, the only horsemeat that has been positively tracked down was Polish

Well, well I'm learning everyday something new. Today I have learned that horse-meat has nationality.::D

Problem is processed food industry and they shoddy dealing and generally a race after profit and disregard for human health and well-being.People are seen as customers not individuals. I would laid the blame on the doorsteps of the western civilization and her business practices and social attitudes. Talking about Polish horse-meat is like talking about Polish swan eaters an urban myth or rather one convenient scapegoat.

I don't think that an adult coming to foreign country would ever become one of his/her hosts. It doesn't mean hs/she couldn't integrate seamlessly but he/she wouldn't be one of them:)

It is different for someone born and raised in a country born to foreign parents. To some extend it is true for those who came to a foreign country as children.

On the other hand even being born in a country do not make one into native.

So to answer OP qestion as it has been formulated. It is not possible for an adult settling in Poland to become Polish.

I'm sure I'm all that but you sir are an idiot and an ass-hole if articulate.

By the way many Jews in Poland choose to speak only their own langude and their knowledge of the Polish langude skills were very poor. Even after eight generations they have been speaking Polish with a foreign accent and a poor grammar.

His article is a dig at proverbial Johnny foreigner in the UK substituted it seems at the present by Poles.Many Britons would like that or laugh at that without a second thought.

However that is not the crux of the matter. In this case the crux of the matter is the author of the article and his attitude to Poles.

His Jewishness is a poor and insufficient ground for his standing. That is clear for anybody who know a squat about Poles and Jews in Poland's history.

Seems to me that nowadays somebody Jewishness become a license to practice bigotry and double standards with impunity without being branded as such.

If there is no truth whatsoever in Giles Coren's stereotyping, than why should his column cause such howls of anguish in Poland?

Oh arrogant bigot has spoken giving a clear example of hate, intolerance and primitive prejudice.
His hate rhetoric bringing to mind hate speeches against Jews made by Goebbels not only will not reduce level of anti-Semitics in the UK on seeing how an allegedly tolerant and educated Jew dropped his disguise and has showed his real face.

ho do you trust more - a country like the UK who have a history of complete openness about food scares, or Poland?

I don't give a damn about all this situations. It is obvious that governments in question and companies are doing everything to blame somebody else, just that stigma wouldn't be attached to their firm or their country. As it is not good for business.

What is funny that horse meant is the least harmful of crap they put in the cheap food. It wound;t be pass them to use that horse meant issue as a cover of something more sinister.

To the point:
Who do you trust more?We are talking politicians here, right? Neither both are capable of doing and saying anything as long as they can get away with.

As to your points jon!The fact that you trust the UK more do not influence facts it just make you biased. As long as you admitting that to be the truth - there is no conflict.:)

Life / Foreigners in Poland - the identities of our native or the host country [66]

So what is different now in 2013,

Poland lost half their territory with the majority of her minorities plus there is Israel and the USA were majority of yet another minority moved.

Nationality tends to become a detail especially among the cosmopolitan.

Not a new phenomena some people become too rich and too detached from reality for their own good.
