News / Polish Parents protest against Poland's pro-homo sex education [75]

What crossed my mind is that is today`s Poland`s reality worse then future predicted in Polish sci-fi movie Seksmisja, back in 1983. And some fought that it was scandalous movie. Idiots. Always can be worse. It was, among else, at least about man-woman banging.

News / Poland's President-Elect Duda leads in public trust - CBOS poll [185]

i thought that are only smaller Slavic countries banana states. My country for example. i mean, banana in the sense of being victims of manipulations by global powers and powerful magnates and their interests. But truly, by all what i learn about politics in Poland, i see that is Poland also a banana state.

USA, Canada / For my dad... "free Steve Wlodarz" He is serving life without parole in a United States prison [32]

Horrible. Its horrible when innocent people suffer in jail.

i suggest you to go and ask Polish and Serbian organizations in Chicago for help. Its two million of them there. Call them by phone, visit them, beg them. Some of them are even lawyers, people with influence. Somebody would for sure want to help you and to your dad. That`s how you can work for your father from within USA.

USA, Canada / Taste of Polonia - Chicago, IL [40]

Very nice.

But, why would you Poles use Arab word `kebab` when you have available Slavic word `cevap` (ćevap). Word even more appropriately describing form of the grilled meat (formed in tube). Its even original name for the dish. In Serbian `cev` means `tube` (Eng.). So, when in past Arabs via Turks (who occupied Serbia and great deal of South-eastern Europe, for some time in past) tested the meat and heard term, they named it `kebab`.

Don't distract from the actual topic please - you may ask this question in a Language thread.

News / Is Kinga Duda of Poland the most beautiful first-daughter of the world? [50]

Everybody please focus on the daughter of Polish President

girl is normal and even nice. Quite good example of decent Slavic genetics.

You want rough, I'll give you rough

and the infamous photo that will probably never go away

you are cruel man, i can tell you that. How can one sleep tonight after seeing this horror

Poor creature looks abominable. i don`t know how is that ugliness possible on this Earth. i would rather think of it as of accidental mistake, not as a rule within Anglo ``elite``. Terrible. Truly terrible.

UK, Ireland / Poles again shed blood for Britain [13]

Poels again shed blood for Britain

Good news is that this shed of blood isn`t on the battlefield. For sure Britain, as country friendly to Poland, wouldn`t put Poles in that situation.

News / Poland's President-Elect Duda leads in public trust - CBOS poll [185]

As much as I would like you to be right Pol3, as much I fear that it is Jon who is on the right path. History has taught us that humans, like electrical current, take the path of least resistance or, said differently, prefer instant/effortless gratification to the long winding (and uphill) road of effort, whathever satisfaction might follow. And Poles are, after all, humans..

in other words, only dramatic events can prevent total fall of Poland. Very interesting conclusion. Now, what it may be ...

Just crossed my mind. Poland founded itself many times in history on the edge of oblivion and then something happened what moved things in right direction. Last time it was Serbian student Gavrilo Princip

News / Poland's President-Elect Duda leads in public trust - CBOS poll [185]

That's meaningless

its not.

not even North Korea and certainly not Poland, is frozen in time.

`frozen in time`? What a delusional phrase, which purpose is just to justify tragic Polish and Poland`s situation. Its even inhumane to say something like this.

This Duda can no more stop that than Canute could hold back the tide.

Duda have much more maneuverable space then Canute. But true, with time, with this rate of assimilation of Poles maneuverable space of Polish patriots would decrease. It would be really horrible if Poland accept fate of eternal younger player in European arena, what would happen if due to assimilation, Poland lose prefix of Slavic; Slavic Poland. For Slavic Poland is destined to initiate new Commonwealth for the good of both, Slavs and non-Slavs on the Baltic-Balkan line. That Poland, Slavic Poland can be real European power and with Commonwealth even world power. So, why would Poland accept destruction of its own future? For the sake of foreign civilization? No way

And there's no real appetite in Poland to be anchored to a vision of the past that never existed.

What you think, that EU`s and NATO`s `performance` in policing the world in last 30 years won`t affect Polish opinion on those organizations? It will. You think that EU`s and NATO`s, side by side with worse Arab mujaheedines of Islamic league, involvement in violation of sovereignty of Slavic countries, won`t affect Polish opinion? It will. You think that collaboration of EU`s and NATO leading powers, with bearers of Nazi ideology in Croatia and Ukraine, won`t affect Polish opinion? It will. You think that weak and even dangerous euro money won`t affect Polish opinion? It will.

Man, Poles would re-analyze values of EU. At the same time, Polish patriots would push for the Polish interests. i clearly see moment when would Poles arise against EU and decide to try Commonwealth. At least to try to walk with dignity once more. It would be maybe `last charge of the Poles` but they would try. And when they try, they won`t be alone. Many of us looks in Poland with hope. So Poles shall refuse to die in silence, in assimilation. i know that. God would bless Poland with the victory

But he can influence policy.

Poland (and not only Poland) is country that is exposed to increased assimilation of population. Its wrong. Assimilation is equal to destruction. Slow death. Insult to all ancestors who resisted to invaders.

What? what is his job then, to secure that more Poles leave Poland?

with more Poles out of Poland, assimilation of all Poles shall fasten.

Are my Polish sisters and brothers really that blind? are they gave up from Poland already?

News / Poland's fidelity to support wars and its limits. [46]

i understand but again, neither you, neither Poland, neither me, nor Polish Slavs, nor Slavs in general, don`t have anything from my understanding of you. So, i am full of understanding but, if something don`t change very soon, in 100 years or less or some more years, Slavic Poland won`t exist. Probably sooner then later, ironically, if Russia collapse. That due to other factors that aren`t related to the good or bad Polish-Russian relations.

What i want to tell you, i believe that new Commonwealth around Poland, as Pilsudski suggested its restitution, cease to be just a dream. It became necessity.

News / Poland's fidelity to support wars and its limits. [46]

NocyMrok

a lot of truth in your words. Still, Russia is Russia, Poland is Poland. You know that pane brate NocyMrok?

Let me ask you something. Why would Poland (when say Poland in this case i point on official Poland and all layers of Polish society, plus Polish diaspora)... so, why would Poland live in eternal state of critics on Russia, while at the same time don`t doing anything to change its own situation? Where is self-criticism? self-analyzes?

Poland is in anti-logic alliance. In alliance with countries which existence is opposite to Poland`s existence. In alliance with nations that are pathologically indoctrinated with hate on Poles and consider them inferior.

Oh, i understand necessity of EU and NATO on the short run (actually, Poland should already abandon NATO). But, on the long run, it would turn to be trap of assimilation of Slavic Poland. When critical mass of population (in Poland and abroad) become something else and not Slavs, that would be `point of no return` for Poland.

So tell me, NocyMrok, why would you analyze Russia (no matter that are you good at it), at a time when Poland falling in oblivion? and its not Russia that pushing Poland in oblivion but, false friends of Poland and Poles themselves choosing that. Sure, from time to time, Poles complaint on EU (this and that), complaint on NATO, still have solidarity with tragedies of other Slavs, etc. But still, all in all, no matter being aware that time works against Poland, Poles don`t doing anything decisive to change situation. and `point of no return` is closer and closer.

News / How Polish diaspora see future of Poland? as ethnic Polish state or just Polish in origin? [120]

so, they are assimilated already

The 10-15% that are interested in their cultural heritage.

10-15% only?

American Poles with Polish citizenship overwhelmingly back PiS (60-65% support)

they are against Duda?

That in a nutshell is more or less the way it is.

horrible, if that is so.

All in all, Poles in diaspora differ from Poles in Poland.

Genealogy / Slavs are descendants of Sarmatians? [600]

gumi, your perception of history is truly abominable. Feel free to ask whatever you want. i`m not expert but know something.

Let me show you some historical data that support thesis how is Sarmatian name, as back in past universal name of all Slavs, still preserved in use and still live as ethnic name in its local forms in Lusatia and Serbia (Sorbi, Srbi).

Eastern Roman scholar Procopius (500-560) said about `Sporoi` (Greek: Σπόροι) that ``it was old name of the Antae and Sclaveni, two Early Slavic branches.`` [...]

Bohemian historian Josef Dobrovský (1753-1829) and Slovak historian Pavel Jozef Šafárik (1795-1861) said that `Sporoi` was a Greek corruption of Srbi (Serbs). Šafárik deemed that it was the oldest generic name of the Slavs.

Bavarian Geographer (the anonymous author of a Latin medieval texts first time mentioned in its French form, "Géographe de Bavière" in 1796 by Polish count and scholar Jan Potocki), wrote that people named Zeriuani had so large kingdom that all Slavic peoples originated from there (or from them) [...]

NOTE: for more info, just use google

Edit - 100 copy/paste words rule

Brate Mode i didn`t just copy paste. i changed text using all my talent

An article moved me to raise one question > If Spartans were Sarmatians, should we consider them to be kin to modern day Poles?

This question actually raises many more new questions. i am amazed how many. Should we dare to try to give answers?

History / When will you Poles give back German land and the cities which you robbed? [557]

Not to mention how many Poles abandoning Poland, to replace their traditional education and understanding of things, with the new views on anything, new `knowledge` that they receiving from their already Anglicanized, Germanized, Americanized, Canadized, etc, etc, countryman that pays taxes to foreign governments while don`t care for Slavic culture and even consider it for something backward. Better not to think of anti-Slavic and anti-Polish indoctrinated foreigners who regard Poles as infidels and humiliate them in every opportunity. Or should we think of influence of western European and USA mass media on traditional Polish Slavic families, abroad or even in Poland?

About which lands we talking about? What belong to Poland and to Poles anyway, with this state of things?

Well, we are talking about the definition of "rightfully" at the moment... :)

rightfully? Let me tell you then. Poland is part of EU and NATO. Thanks to shared responsibility, in any war started by EU or NATO, Poland may lose everything and for sure gain nothing even if are EU and NATO winners in the wars.

Even without any wars, as part of EU and NATO, being part of foreign civilization, Poland would with time cease to exist as Slavic Poland. If that is something good then alright, its ok.

So, term `rightfully` is pretty elastic. All what is today or what was yesterday rightfully Polish, tomorrow would rightfully belong to who knows to whom.

Only bright thing in current Poland`s and Polish environment are two factors, the internet and the Serbians. Exclude these two factors and all what goes with them from mathematics and there is no Poland.

History / When will you Poles give back German land and the cities which you robbed? [557]

That what rightfully belong to Poland is one thing. Reality is something else. Reality of Poland right now suggests that Poles can`t expect to keep for themselves even what is today`s Poland. With questioned loyalty to Slavdom of its diaspora, with massive arrival of foreigners to Poland, with economy dependable solely on western Europe and USA, with Poland isolated from other Slavic countries, with corrupt politicians who seek to connect themselves even with mafia bosses for the sake of foreign interests of all kind, with government that too often ignore stance of the Polish people, with politicians who distinguished themselves to push Poland in war with Russia or at best to keep Poland in eternal state of confrontation with Russia, with politicians who defend interests of Anglos and Germanics and not of Poles.... what should then Poland and Poles expect?

News / LGBT hate speech to be banned in Poland [208]

and what about words like `pederèina` (sound as `pederchina`) what is used to describe a person`s character in pejorative sense? It is essentially same as that you say to somebody that is he `pièka` (sound as `pichka`) - actually when you want to say that one behave as female sex organ. Now, female sex organ is nice thing but, behavior of male in that sense is ugly thing. Don`t ask me why my language functioning this way. i think all Slavic languages must be similar here.

News / LGBT hate speech to be banned in Poland [208]

To put cross on myself, does this mean that now one can`t tell `peder` or even more interestingly `pider` (how they say in Slovenia). It is same as one try to forbid word `gypsy` for example.
