Love / Scottish & Polish relationships [229]

we instead just teach kids about other cultures and tell them to be nice to everyone and leave it at that, and let them make up their own minds what and how to think of others.

Thats what the School is about.
The Aims of the school were probably written for an application of charity status or to get grants or something.

Kids are kids, they aren't bothered about multiculturism and stuff.

I think it is a good example of how Polish migrants are being welcomed.

Ah yes, more manipulating children’s minds with the coerced celebration of diversity and multiculturalism.

And also......"preserve and develop the cultural heritage of Poland and encourage knowledge of Scotlands culture and history "

Are you seriously saying the Saturday School isn't a good thing ?

For me -

Locally hand made kilt, tartan of choice- £350
Bespoke Prince Charlie jacket ( wide shoulders, av waist ) - £385 five years ago.
Sporran £120
Shoes, shirt, sghean dhu etc about £120

Or you can get a kilt from Pakistan for £40

Do they make infant kilts?

Yep, kids look cute in their kilts, an arran jumper and big boots !

You can get cheap kilts on Ebay and the like but if you get a proper kilt it will last a lifetime.

Law / Laundromats in Poland? Good business venture or not? [90]

If you have the cash and want to take the gamble then go for it.

It should be quite easy to build up a business plan.
Initial outlay, ongoing overheads etc.
Sometmes you can rent the machines ( may even be a market in itself ).
I dont think there would be a high profit margin.
If you can do service washes and perhaps negotiate with small hotels a contracted service that will help the cash flow.

History / History of European and Poland's anti-semitism [192]

I saw this on the news today - it happened in Vienna.
Just the driver having a laugh or something more sinister ?

Driver says jokingly "Sieg Heil " to passengers, then gets fired.

UK, Ireland / A collection of noimmigration's threads or "STAY AWAY from BRITAIN" [978]

Once again Scotland getting mixed up with UK stats.
In direct contrast to the rest of the UK, Scotland needs immigration -
news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/highlands_and_islands/7494864.stm

As I keep on saying - this is a London based government trying to adapt UK stats to Scotland - it just doesn't work. Look at the link - this is what the Scottish government are doing to encourage immigration - is there a London based government equivalent ?

News / What is wrong with Poland that Poles emigrate? [167]

I am not going to promote employment agencies but agencies have their uses.

From the Employers side it takes a lot of time and effort to recruit someone, then if they are not up to it you have to jump through hoops to fire them.

Agencies fill a gap in the market.

From the workers point of view...total rip off.

Edit - On second thoughts....agencies should be made illegal !

Cape wrath

Brrrrr - ever been ? It aint called that for nothing !

The point I am making is that within Britain there are variances.
Scotland needs immigrants because of the demographics - ageing population etc
On the other hand, banging on about too many immigrants is a vote winner in England.

Sympathies Szarlotka - Its only fair to tell you that I am the one who your wife has not been cheating on.

You see, it all started one day when fireif arrived in the village of Meryton. The arrival of such a man in the neighbourhood greatly excited Mrs. Bennet, whose sole interest in life was to see her five daughters married. The wealthy young man in question, Mr. Fireif, had leased the Netherfield estate and plans to settle for a while with his two sisters and his brother-in-law......................

I know when we talk he will accuse me of being stupid.

He is going to say you are stupid
he will get angry with you
he will make you feel paranoid
he will make you doubt yourself
he will make you feel bad for accusing him of these things
he will act hurt
etc etc etc
