History / Rajmund Kaczyński not in PZPR [43]

it's about Rajmund Kaczyński

Rajmund was no different than millions of his non-PZPR-belonging compatriots. Life went on even in Auschwitz where people fell in and out of love, sold, bought, borrowed, lent, bribed kapos, etc. even though a day later all that remained of them was a handful of ash.

When the Kaczyński twins were studying at uni all qualified students could study if they passed their entrance exams. Having a father in the AK was no longer the obstacle it had been under Stalinism. Stalinism ended in 1956 when the twins were 7 years old.

You know all this, Delphie Boy, but are enaging in a very cheap demogoguery apparently to deceive those few clueless, foreign-based PF-ers who have no knowledge of Polish history. Are you really willing to sacrifice any shred of credibility you still may have just to get in another swipe at the Kaczyńskis?

moved from

1997 constitution, written in free Poland

But written under the inspiration of ex-commie president Kwaśniewski over the strong opposition of Soldiarity, the Church and all patriotic, anti-communist forces. Sadly they were overruled by the SLD and their fellow travellers of the roundtable układ.

Already back then they had effectively created a virtual Komitet Obrony Koryta very much like the actual one now beign promtoed by PO losers and Petru types.

History / Rajmund Kaczyński not in PZPR [43]

I wonder if you also would disqualify all PO activists not to mention rank-and-file voters who had belonged to the above as well as the PRL-era Scouting Association, Students Associaton, trade unions of miners, steelworkers, shipyard workers, woodcutters, engineers, nurses, phsyicians, artists, writers, teachers, film-makers, football, volleyball, basketball, handball, skiing, tennis, badminton, etc., etc., etc. associations. Not to mention those who actually belonged to the Soviet-backed PZPR such as Kuroń, Geremek, Balcerowicz and 30 of the PO's Sejm MPs while their fellow men and women were being persecuted, imprisoned, tortured and worse...

History / Rajmund Kaczyński not in PZPR [43]

A new book devoted to Jarosław Kaczyński by Michał Krzymowski X-rays the PiS leader and every aspect of his biography. Despite attempts by PiS-bashers (also on PF) to claim his dad Rajmund was a commie, that myth is definitely overturned. An AK freedom-fighter, after the war he belonged to the Teachers' Association and Ex-Servicemen's Union, both of which were commie-controlled. But in PRL so was the Football Federation, Beekeeper' Association and every other organisation, society and club -- that's what totalitarian regimes are about...

News / Poland's President-Elect Duda leads in public trust - CBOS poll [185]

ONLY DUDA WOULD BE RE-ELECTED; TUSK UTTERLY REJECTED!

The latest TNS Polska servey on whom Poles woudl vote for in the next presidential election has shown the following levels of support:

Duda 26%, Petru 14%,Kukiz 13%, Tusk 9%, Nowacka 6%. Kosinika-Kamysz 3%.
That has apparently put paid to Tusk's plans to stand for president after completign his EU stint(s).

reliable

Putin is wishing himself a very happy New Year

Nothing gladdens Putin's heart more than the sight of anti-government protesters on the streets of Polish cities, the "useful idiots" badmouthing their own country and dragging an internal row into the international forum. Way to go Michnik, Petru and misguided PF-ers!

PiS have shown themselves to be unreliable partners

PiS have not had enough time to show themselves to be reliabkle or unreliable so far... If there are any consequences such as lowered credit rating it will be because of all the mayhem being whipped up by the poor losers creating an aura of chaos and instability. The frustrated losers are so deseprate to hold on to their fast evaporating perks that they are even willing to damage their own counrty's reputation to satisfy their greedy, selfish political ends.

The EU discussion on Poland next month will not impose any sanctions nor even adopt a resolution but at most may issue a non-binding statement.

People like their cheap trinkets too much.

I agree. Thoroughly brainwashed people like their cheap trinkets too much. And nobody seems to be explaining to them the error of theri ways. The establishment (politicians, capitalists, media) want nothing else but to keep the people brainwashwed. Of course there are people so ignorant that they understand only bread and circus. But even the slightly better educated would be able to understand what's actually taking place. A huge brainwashing (advertising/marketing) machine is wrokign overtime to urge people to shop till they drop and clutter their homes with every manner of cheap, breakable and quickly obsolescent "Made in China" junk which will soon gert discarded and add to the global trash moutnain to be recycled so more cheap, breakable and quickly obsolescent "Made in China" junk can be foisted on a naive and willing humanity. Hardly no-one mentions that amount of our planet's natural resorces that have to be wasted to manufacture such rubbish nor the amount of fuel needed to recycle it, leaving an ecological crisis of unimaginable proportions for our children and grandchildren.

Another problem are the automation and technology freaks rendering people redundant. But what's more important -- the profits of greedy captialists or human lives? The comfortable and well-to-do Balcerowiczes of this world rode rough-shod over the Polish nation to carry out their pet economically liberal theories as if completely oblivious to the human pain and tragedy their double-digit unemployment had inflicted on their countymen. This not only means the loss of a livelihood but the civil execution of depriving the human person of his dignity. The automation and outsourcing freaks are doing the very same thing. Will we ever have a government with the guts to point out that and the salient points you have made about widespread disenfranchisement and actually do something about it? Kukiz's 20% in the presidential election clearly showed that there is a sizable segment of socveity thorough fed up with politics as we know it. He blew it by not offering a meaningful programme, but the ptoential still exists for someone else to finally enlighten the electiorate as to what's what.

technology devastating employment

Hasn't any govt thought of legislation restricitng this? You want to automate? Fine but not if it means sackings. An automation watchdog could monitor this. All that's needed is the political will. And there's the problem. Politicians are mainly concerned about the perks and privileges of power (ie getting to and staying at the feed trough as long as possible) -- all else is just rhetoric ("I am only here to serve the people") and window dressing.

Polish Supreme Cour

The High Court's competence can be expanded through legislation. If other countries can do without a TK, so can Poland. If the UK can function quite nicely without a formal written constitution so too can Poland without a special separate tribunal to evalaute constitutionality. And think of the reduction of bureaucracy that would allow! Sadly, none of the major parties are truly interested in slashing red tape and cutting down on organisational units (except as a campaign promise they never intend to keep). How else can they reward their loyal cronies if not with cushy fatcat posts?!

Po polsku / Polska jest dyktaturą? [129]

kogoś skopała

Taka prymitywna przemoc to tylko w stylu RN i kiboli. Lewacko-liberalna PP używa subtelniejszych form "perswazji" -- swoim oponentom funduje zwolnienia z pracy i wystawia wliczy bilet.

zwolnienia z prac

Jeden przykład z USA:

Somehow PO never said that about ex-commie TK head Rzepliński, Balcerowicz and a host of others and became the current Sejm's largest PZPR sanctuary.

"nobody cares"

The average Pole is little interested. Typical Poles now cringe when more stuff on TK, KOD or boring parliamentary debates are shown on TV. Only those with a vested interest (Soros beneficiaries or others who feel their profits will be adversely afected), politicans, media which thrive on controversy and news buffs (hobbyists) are more or less interested. The remaining 95% are not and even amongst the 5% interest will gradually fizzle out, because all not ranting and chanting will have no effect.

average Pole

Only the over-politicised (the above-mentioned: politicians, media, vested-interest types & politcal buffs) incorrectly believe average people are crazy about political news on TV information programmes, love to be herded to the pollls or take part in street marches and demos. The average person's appetite and capacity for the above is actually quite limited.

PO got 5,629,773 votes

PO got a mere 5,629,773 votes, fewer than PiS in 2015, but literally ran the show and mostly used PSL as a vote-providing figleaf. Now everything is clear, straightforward and above board.

PiS = P(oland i(s) S(upreme)!

para-legal shenanigans

PO was the master of para-legal and every other kind of shenanigans. What would you call a TK stacked with 14 PO appopitnees and 1 (one) from PiS. That's what the Platformers originally had adn ilegally appoitned additional judges to retain their monopoly.

Po polsku / Polska jest dyktaturą? [129]

regulować każdą sferę życia obywatela

Taką formacją czy kierunek jest Poprawność Polityczna. Do wszystkiego

Without the TK

Sąd Najwyższy.THE TK is totally redundant. Let's limit the number of bureacratic parasites, and all bureacrats are parasites surrounding themselves with offices, comptuers, secretaries, cars, expense accounts and other perks of power and privilege. The Sejm should be reduced to no more than 200 seats and the Senate to 50! Think of the savings on 310 fewer lawmakers! Unfortunately, politcians have to pay off their cronies and yesmen with fatcat jobs, hence bureaucracy is undefeatable. Tusk came to power pledging to slash red tape but left behind an army of thoisands more paper-shufflers and computer game buffs!

rational thinking

Before starting to worship rationalism never forget Zyklon B was the product of rational calculation: much more cost-effective than exhaust fumes from engines fuelled by costly petrol or diesel fuel.

Stop to think of it, the guillotine was also an improved high-yield alternative to the gallows.

T

The TK is totally unnecessary- It was a commie-era Jaruzelski invention. Why create another expensive bureaucratic body when Poland's aready got a Supreme Court. That all the USA have.

News / Regain banking assets - new Polish finance minister supports privatisation in Poland. Corruption? [33]

smaller insurer

My cousin chose a smaller insurer than PZU (I think Warta) and when he had an accident they tried to wiggle their way out of paying siting various paragraphs and technicalities.

I hold it againat Balcerowicz that he chose to privatise the way he did by effectively destroying and/or giving away Poland's industrial assets foreigners for a song creating double-digit unemployment. All that energy should have been directed at creating a Polish National Capital Consortium comprising public and private assets. Back then (early '90s) there were still considerable: collieries, shipyards, refineries, KGHM, salvageable/modernisable manufacturing facilties, etc. plus incentives to attract Polish private capital. Such a consoritum would have had a human Polish face which would have to reckon with people's needs. Foreign hard-nosed capitalists see Poland mainly as an exploitation site. Poland could have saved its automotive industry, because when Daewoo collapsed such a capital consortium could have bought out their Polish-based facilties.

Constitution is not The Bible

Do you believe the post-commie era Kwaśniewski constitution is like the Bible and therefore immutable? And another ex-commie Rzepliński should be empowered to guard over it?
