News / How would Poland change for the better (or worse) under a PiS government? [257]

Merged: PM Szydło awards ex-PM Olszewski special pension

PM Beata Szydło has awarded a special pension of 8000 zł to former PM Jan Olszewski. Barrister-at-law Olszewski was a defender of anti-communsit dissidetns in PRL and went on to become one of Poland's best PMs. He wanted to settle accounts with the criminal PZPR regime and expose their misdees but those fearlful of being exposed staged a parliamentary coup hsi fledgeling government. The line-up was much the same as we see now in the episode "KOD v the real Poland". On the nomenklatura and pro-nomenklatura side was Wałęsa, Michnik, Kuroń, Kwaśniewski, Pawlak, Moczulski, Tusk and a few others with an unsavoury past, soft on commies and/or believing that was the side their bread was buttered on. They were opposed by the Kaczyńskis, Macierewicz, Parys and other Polish patirots. Plus ça change......

Genealogy / Polish blood only makes up 1% of your "Polishness" [77]

He will never be Polish

None of the PF expats are or will ever be Polish even if they have 4 or 5 Polish passports apiece. Polishness is not some bureaucratic scrap of paper or plastic card. It is in the genes and blood. It is genetic, spritual, cultural, lingusitic and religious all in one.You either feel it or you don't.

The halting Polish of most expats wannabes is laughable.

sensationalise

Delph missed out on the excitement of the heady Solidarność and turbulent martial-law period, so he's trying to make up for lost time. He likes to fantisise and imagine himself as Petru's right-hand man or least one of the leading KOD conspirators. Boys like to play.

KOD

KOD = TARGOWICA! (Delph, ask some Pole what that means!)
That headline adorns the front page of weekly Do Rzeczy. By taking Polish rows abroad, crybabying and snitchnin on theri own country to Brussels, the Schetynas (notice I didn't type "Snitchinas"), Michnikites, Petruites, Neumanns et al are acting the same way the pro-tsarist faction did in the late 18th century which led to the dismemberment and foreign occupation of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. It's something to think about.

The comparison with Solidarność is fautly, because they rose up against a foreign-imosed puppet regime -- PRL. Pro-foreign-interest KOD on the contrary are trying to topple one of the most pro-Polish and "Poladn first" parties of the post-PRL period.

News / WOSP Poland charity - is it value for money? [60]

usual suspects

I reckon they are the most vigilant to the post-nomeklatura takeover. You don't expect the nomenklaturised Michnik camp to criticise one of their own, do you? Both were raised in a similar pro-commie atmosphere. Old man Szechter was one of Stalin's willing henchmen; old man Owsiak was a communist militia colonel. Birds of a feather flock together!

that the ruling Party has no control

Apparently you haven't been in Poland long enough. The same criticism of Owsiak circulated when the ruling party was SLD, AWS, PiS/SO/LPR and PO, so don't be so ahistorical (and hysterical)!

Language / Help me figure out the spelling of these Polish names? [17]

Boyze or Boyze me or Boysha

Those are not Polish spellings. The exclamation in Polish is Boże or Mój Boże (Dear God). There are surnames such as Boż,. Boża, Bożek and similar but they were derived from such old first names as Bożydar (Slavic equivalent of Theodore = gift of God). The Polish surnaems Bojsza and Boysza were derived from the Old Polsih verb bojeć się (to be afraid), bać się in modern Polish. That surname probably originated as a nickname meaning something like scaredy cat.

disrespect his good works

Good works are respected, but the do-gooder may nevertheless be suspected of ulterior motives. Owsiak and his fmaily are not hurting financially as a resutl of htier charitbale activites, in fact it's jsut the opposite. And is striving for cheap popularity amongst gullible youth really a virtue or just an ego trip? Stalin brought sweets and gifts to orphans in state orphanages. Did that make him a good person?

how many migrants

Reportedly one million last year and thousands more arrive each day. The end result will be the destruction of Germnay (not next Tuesday morning but within a few years). Germany will eventually implode under the weight and strain of dealing with the addiitonal crime, ethno-religious strife, terrorism and the related financial outlays and it will spread, affecting the economies of the whole continent.

Check in a year from now and we can resume our discussion.

Catholic Church

The Church's charitable effort, notably but not exclusively that of Caritas, is several times greater than that of nomenklatura boy Owsiak. The difference is that they don't go on stage shouting wow and siema, jumping about like jumping jacks to impress down-dumbed young people, rolling out brass bands and turning the brouhaha on full blast for one big, noisy and dazzling mega-spalsh a year.

ex-PZPR

Under Gierek there were 3 mln PZPR members. Most of them were NOT nomenklatura but average Joes who joined to get ahead or at least help make ends meet. Nomenklatura were the upper-level wheeler-dealer types clever enough to switch from Marxism to capitalism safely land unscathed (thanks unfortunately to the lack of decommunsation) and thrive in III RP. They built up fortunes by hook or by crook that their families are living on at present. Kraśko (who forutnately got the sack today!) for insatance owns extensive acreage and stables of thorougbreds in Masuria. One doesn't make that kind of money even on generous TV journalist's salary, but he comes from a long-standing nomenklatura family -- his dziadek Wincenty was Gomułka's right-hand man.

tricks of the average Communist party

And another well-known trick of the average Communist party when trying to consolidate power was to abuse a democratcially elected government with insults and suggestions that they should be 'exposed' and 'discredited', delegitmised or even forcibly ejected (that's from Wałęsa BTW!) by ranting street rabble like that commandeered by KOD.

Amen!

discredit the opposition

Yes, oppositon to nomenklatura disentitlement and bankster rule should be both discredited and exposed for what they really are. The façade of defending

democracy is a total sham!

News / Adam Michnik awarded for integrity, professionalism and high standards. Poland's No. 1 fascist? [321]

Merged: Chronic michnikitis strikes again!

The illegitimate Szechter boy has again splashed lies and slander cross the first page of his rag. A screaming headline proclaims: PROWOKATURA -- a play on the words prowokacja and prokuratura.

That was his response to the government's efforts to crack down on crime and scams. That is all the more needed in the wake of the Platformers' pitiful performance. They not only failed to crack down on scandals but actually were the source of many, and dismally failed to eliminate the designer-drug trade and chemcially castrate paedophiles. Tusk went on record as solemnly pledging to resolve thsoe issues!

Sting operations are used by law-enforcement the world over to prevent and prosecute crime. Only those with something to hide, drug-dealers, terrorists, mafia types, people cheating on their employers or their spouses have something to hide need to fear closer scrutiny. Those with a clean conscience should not object to having their phones tapped and emails monitored if it serves crime prevention and public security. But the Szechterling again is on the side of shady types, anarcho-leftists and other such scum and against energetic and effective law enforcement. Coming from a KPP background swarming with conspriators, provocateurs, saboteurs and terrorists, it's no wonder!

Please use proper names in future

whenever they get away from their parents,

That's what leftists of every ilk are about -- Stalin's Komsomol, Michnik's rag or Owsiak's extravaganza -- they always try to drive a wedge between parents and their children and turn the latter agaisnt their famileis. It's an old story. And why: becuase most parents are the voice of reaosn and experience experience, can readily see through hidden agendas and silly fads and want kids to grew up into decent people, not depraved, fad-prone, popculturised idiots!

crap all over the law

Bad laws need to be amended, modified, scrubbed or replaced! That is what is happening with many of the Platformers' skewed legislative duds.

it serves to legitimise people, organisations and ideological trends

You hit the nail on the head! It's good that money is raised for medical equipment, but the whole shebang stinks of the post-nomenhlatura syndrome and hardly can be called politically neutral. Owsiak was born into a communist militia family (his father was a militia colonel or big brass!) and he himself worked for communist-controlled radio and magazines. He is a prime example of someone enjoying the goodies of nomenklatura entitlement under III RP. His call to youth "róbta co chceta" (do whatever you damn please) triggered outrage amongst Polish families. He contineus to deprave minors who wallow in alcohol and drugs at his annual Woodstock spectacles.

Caritas do not create a big once-a-year splash of razzle-dazzle hoopla downdumbing youth with all those moronic wows, whoos and yippees the way bombastic Owsiak does but work round the clock and assist a great many more people than the loudly over-promoted Owsiak orchestra does.

News / Poland's election winning party: PIS proclamations [229]

Nice bit of doublespeak

So you're a big backer of śmieciówki. Do you believe the employer should provide women emplyoed as supermarket cashiers with free Pampers (which they can use on the job because they lack loo privileges) or should they pay for them out of their own money?

Just as predicted

.. .Juist as predicted, the PiS government are doing something about the junk jobs that are the bane of millions of Poles. Work is now under on regulations that would provide retirement and other benefits to those emplyoed on temporary contracts. One by one PiS are fulfilling their campaign pledges and the KOD a*seholes can only rant, rave and gnash their teeth. Serves 'em right for all the malarky they churn out!

No, the leftist socialists are the worst kind. Those included Mao, Lenin, Stalin, Dzierżyński, Bierut, Berman, Gomułka, Cohen-Bandit, Michnik and the like.

News / New radio chief promises more Polish culture [15]

Finally there should be more Polish culture on Poland's airwaves. The newly appointed head of Polish Radio Barbara Stanisławczyk said in an interview: "We do not intend to eliminate other content but there must be some balance. We've got great artists and a superb culture -- let's not renounce it but help our culture."

It'll be a refreshing change if even some of the foreign popculture slime gets scrubbed!
FP's pro-foreign blowhard expats probably want such mega-concerns as Warner Music and otehrs of that ilk to get ahead, so they' be disappoitned. But Poles have usually rooted for the underdog, the little guy who should also be given a chance.

abuse, lies and insults

The first lie is the name, because not democracy is being defended but the entitlements of certain elites, many nomenklatura-rooted;
The abuse of such terms as coup d'état, fascism, dictatorship, etc. in reference to one of the 3 best governments post-PRL Poland has ever had.

Insults hurled at prominent poltical figures, all democratically elected, are just a few examples.
And the biggest lie is refusing to tell marchers the real reason for the protests -- to restore the profits, perks and privileges of the clique which suffered disentitlement as a result of the last election.

ISN'T IT HIGH TIME FOR THOSE DISENTITLED BY THE ROUNDTABLE TO FINALLY GET THEIR JUST DUE?

If that is the case, then the torrent of KOD-spewed abuse, lies and insults about PiS only means PiS are right. I felt that all along!
