News / Highlights of passing year, in Poland (or elsewhere) which made hot discussions in PF [57]

But these protests and furor over semantics might make them wonder what that's all about.

And that`s awrite! The more people wonder, the more intelligent they become. Stay tuned, it is good for you.

Never quite understood the obsession with obama.

After all, the first black president. It means something.

I guess the media did a good job brainwashing people like you to believe in "change" and "hope."

Really important things haven`t changed - Obama is indebting the USA like no other president before.

Food / What made in Poland produce would you recommend [110]

But ok ... if you ask ... this summer I found some astonishing tomatoes in Poland.

Yes, it was already said here that Polish fresh fruit and veg taste much better than their foreign counterparts.

Yes, the one which brings fondle memories of the past. It was created in mid 1960s.
Whatever floats your boat, I guess, although for most people it's red wine.

Hahaha yes, fond, of course. :):):)

Polish pickles

I can recommend pickled mushrooms.

The best value for money is noble podgrzybek mushrooms by Rolnik - a giant jar with a lot of stuff inside for only 15 zlotys. Delicious!

If not, try other producers, there are plenty of them.

Come on, Doda?

Yes, on request of male members of the forum.

It's disgrace to put Janosik and Hans Kloss next to her.

You are simply jealous.

Next should be Thorgal.

No, Thorgal isn`t truly Polish.

But I have sth better for you and other female members:

Life / Poland needs more immigrants and their children - which nationalities are the best? [518]

Muslim immigrants in France are accused by anti-immigrant groups of burning cars on New Year`s Eve. Yesterday they burnt 1200. Sort of tradition.

Around 1,200 cars were burned by rioting Muslims on the New Year's Eve in France, where the mass burning cars in the national holidays are kind of tradition among Muslim residents of the disadvantaged suburbs of immigrants.

In recent years, the celebration of the New Year and the Bastille Day (July 14) in France is often marked by mass burning cars as well. On the night of January 1, 2010, there were 1,137 thousand cars burned on the night of January 1, 2009 - 1,147 thousand were burned.

Many sites provide the news without going into detail over perpetrators` ethnicity or background but it is widely known that the incidents take place in immigrant ghettos.

I hope immigrants to Poland will be more cultural than those in France.

Travel / Trip to Poznan and Torun [19]

Yep, When i went from Gdańsk to Malbork, i was on a train that didn't move for 1 1/4 hrs :(

Come on, Al Kaida terrorists planted a suicidal bomber on the tracks so it had to take some time to take him/her out. Simple.

History / ORP Orzeł Polish submarine in Estonian Press [10]

Sorry, you need to use more convincing arguments. :):):)

E.g., Hungary was a Nazi satellite at the time but Hungarians helped Poles who fled from their occupied country.

Estonians acted like swines. Why did an Estonian officer tear off the Polish banner on the submarine?

News / Highlights of passing year, in Poland (or elsewhere) which made hot discussions in PF [57]

The woman who staged a daughter kidnaping hoax:

huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/06/madzia-wasniewska-poland-fake-kidnapping_n_1257379.html

is currently in detention and prosecutors are going to accuse her of murder.

"In the death of six-month Madzi no eyewitnesses. The woman from Poland says that the child died as a result of an accident . Conversely, according to prosecutors , the girl was strangled . The key here is the opinion of experts , who include examining the internal organs of a child found petechiae . In their view, they clearly indicate strangulation.

Catherine W. responds well - except murder - for notification of law enforcement crime and creating false evidence to refer the case against another person. It can even threaten her life in prison ."

History / ORP Orzeł Polish submarine in Estonian Press [10]

they were in deep **** in that time, same as other Baltic states.

Nope, at the time they were still independent and could decide for themselves. Shame on them for what they did to the Polish submarine.

Sorry, I can`t help you. I am afraid you will need to type the text in an online translator.

PS. The Estonian sons of bithes were doing their best to stop Orzeł. Stinkers.

The Polish police warns people not to intervene but call. There were a few incidents last year when accidental guys took action and got hurt in result.

Ironsik, don`t be silly. You are not the one to tell me what I should or shouldn`t do. Most of your posts in the forum are utter nonsense. A Pol Am moron who knows nothing about real Poland wants to teach a native Pole????? Come on :):):):):):)

20 more years for Tusk

Wow! You are an optimist. So why do you never cease to critisize his government? :):)

each party must recognize that small business indeed is an engine of economic growth n rather than choking it (w/ heavy taxation) the gov't should cut it some slack. Successful Polish busienss people (working their butts off) are getting punished for being successful! (Btw, successful means you start your own business and grow it.)

I agree. But it is not Tusk`s fault that small business has to struggle. it is red tape which is like a hydra, when chopped off, it still grows.

Yes, of course, nobody denies it. But such things happened with PiS and others in power too. It happens all over the world. After all, people form or join parties to get the perks connected with holding power.

Atypically, only pics, without any commentary.

Janosik

Not just pics. This is a discussion forum. Some text would be nice too.

Hmm, I think it is a fair deal - I post pics and members discuss what they see.

Now I'm wondering if any of the pictures he used to post were actually his.

No, only one picture is mine, the ape one above. The rest were aped from the Net. :):):):)

Hey, don`t forget the case of pawian`s pictures isn`t the highlight of the passing year. :):):):)

Will you add sth informative to the thread or you are permanently fixed on being Obama`s attorney???

The Polish Forums acquired a new moderator in 2012! Congrats again!

saying a city in Poland or Polish city means the same thing. Polish concentration camp, to most normal people means concentration camp in Poland.

You say normal people, I imagine uneducated halfwits. :):):)

Only a fool that does not know history would think that this meant that the camp was run by Poles, or that Poles were responsible for it.

Most people are fools who don`t know history. Even you had known nothing about it until you came here and read about Polish death camps controvercy in the PF. :):):)

And anyone that calls a man who graduated from Harvard, magna cum laude, a half-wit, is a half-wit himself.

Come on, graduating from an American university is a piece of cake. Enough to have sponsors from Saudi Arabia and you get your diploma. :):):)

Krzysztof Rybiński is a very smart guy, check his bio, he became a chief economist at ING being 30 years old and a vice chairman of NBP at the age of 37, just some of his many achievements... Poland would have been a much better place If people like him were in charge.

Grzegorz, I have suspected you of being professor Rybinski for a long time. Or his assistant at least. :):):)
