News / Turkey abolished visas for Poles. [80]

I didnt say being in schengen would be enough except the case of UK .

I thought that you had said exactly that.

So what you are saying is that instead of Russian Oligarchs, it is now Polish "Oligarchs" bringing their dollars to Turkey? :)

Nothing will make up for them. But many middle class Russians will choose Sochi over Turkey, because Rubel's lose of value.

Ireland has a common travel area with the UK and is therefore not a full member of Schengen. Schengenvisas do not apply to Ireland.

Perhaps. I've never been there.

You're right. I meant Spain, or Portugal or Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Ireland, Norway. All are in Schengen, but need Visa to Turkey.

How do you conclude that? France is in Schengen and still Turkey requires Visa from French people.

Real Estate / Bydgoszcz - studio/apartments [19]

Why not?

Because agencies don't deal with it. They rather rent more expensive apartments and don't bother with cheap or rooms. If you want to rent a room before arriving to Poland your only bet is previously mentioned by me airbnb.pl Later you can do as DominicB suggested.

News / Turkey abolished visas for Poles. [80]

, although the second link you've posted is kind of questionable. What does the abolishment of visa restrictions have to do with Polish patriots and the partitions? Also, do you really believe that the EU will ever open the Schengen area to Turkey? Never going to happen.

This is how prime minister and press commented that.

Also if anyone gets a visa for schengen countries with multipass they need to apply for visa especially for england.

But it has nothing to do with entry to Turkey or Turkish Visa...

it means they should put their mind together and get in to shengen.

What Schengen has to do with Visa to Turkey? Nothing.

Work / Average salary to live&work in Wrocław? Local Credit Suisse opinions. [33]

It doesn't matter whether he comes from Catalunya (Singapore) or Catalonia

It matters, because then the company has to prove that they cannot find suitable candidate from within EU. So basically you disagree with EU idea of single work market. Without the single work market, it would be as you want. Permit would be needed to employ foreigner.

IMHO even if I could agree with you in some extent, I don't think that employing foreigners for more than average salary is something wrong. The more people earning over average the more specialists working in the economy. Problem would be if such companies were hiring foreign graduates instead of schooling local. But I don't think this is the problem. I guess that in case of graduates employed from abroad it's always about language competencies unavailable in Poland.

@Paul: so where are you from :) ?

Travel / Travel from Poland to Germany [4]

Here you can find direct bus connection. 400zł for return ticket, but it takes probably around 19h each way and I don't think anybody drives on 24th December - it's a holiday.

biletyautokarowe.pl

What are BiletyAutokarowe.pl? Coach tickets for nearly 300 000 connections. We offer you tickets to all routes from Poland to other European countries. Use of such low prices, as when purchasing tickets directly with the carrier. We do not charge for any commission. Compare all offers of every possible line and choose the cheapest and shortest route. You can choose from all the discounts and promotions. Save money and a lot of time! Buy a ticket even in 5 minutes. We give the opportunity to search the two largest hotel reservation systems with a single, simple-to-use search engine. Take advantage of the system and pay your order over the Internet, and tickets will be sent via e-mail immediately after the payment. Print them on any printer or collect it on the bus! You can also order tickets by phone and pay for it in the nearest traditional bank or Polish Post office.

Even if from Catalonia (the poster here is not)

but he wrote

Hi everyone, my name is Pau, 28 years old, coming from Catalunya

and wiki says: "Katalonia (kat. Catalunya [kətəˈɫuɲə], hiszp. Cataluña, oksytański Catalonha) "

The relocation bill (if any) for hiring someone from Lublin, or Gdansk, or another town where salaries are less than Wrocław's, would surely not exceed that of relocating someone from another country.

But any Spanish financial controllers working elsewhere in Polnad could be not willing to move.

They are probably given tax incentives to set up shop in Poland and hire locals, yet their sites have head scratchingly large numbers of foreign national "managers" or whatever other "specialist roles" from their home country or elsewhere (in their hundreds if not thousands) and far fewer local Polish workers than should be the case. This seems to me to say that something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

Still it's good for the economy, because their workers pay taxes in Poland.

What you don't get? I am showing with this map, that not all EU countries had visa free travel to Turkey. Poland is marked blue (with Visa) on this map, because they haven't updated it yet.

It seems quite a good salary for a Junior. But you could read these reports:
glassdoor.com/Salary/Credit-Suisse-Wroclaw-Salaries-EI_IE3141.0,13_IL.14,21_IM1102.htm

hays.pl/cs/groups/hays_common/documents/digitalasset/hays_465124.pdf ( from 2011 so add 10%)
qbusiness.pl/uploads/Raporty/jllbpo2013.pdf
gazetapraca.pl/gazetapraca/0,74897.html

@inWrocław: Most likely they needed somebody speaking perfect Spanish.

Work / Business for Foreigners - possible to make a small project in Poland? [18]

Yes that's an issue too. You would have to create limited liability company in order to get permit to stay here and conduct business. The problem with it is that it's 50000 PLN frozen money and it requires accountant (perhaps just accountant service, not a full time worker) to run. Cheaper forms business are unavailable to foreigners.

In fact, I want to work in the optical fiber field (test equipment), so we can provide test equipment to subcontractors and vendors with lower cost.

Maybe you know better but you can charge more for services in richer western countries. But of course more important is weather there is demand.

Work / Business for Foreigners - possible to make a small project in Poland? [18]

But you don't tell what you want to do in Poland. Poland is perhaps not as cheap as you think. 85 000 will buy you 60m^2 flat in Warsaw. Or let you employ 1 engineer for 5 years in 2nd tier city. On the other hand if you have an idea for a simple, labor intensive, but cheap production in order to export for example to Germany, then it can be an ideal country 85 000 eur will let you hire worker with minimum salary for 14 years. (not taking into account salary increase, inflation and exchange rate fluctuation).

But who tells you I am a Muslim and as I said I am not planing to live in Arabic or Islamic country

I thought that over 90% of Egyptians are Muslims. But if you don't want to deal with other Muslims then perhaps consider cheaper southern European countries, like Portugal. Your skin color will stick out less there.

Work / Business for Foreigners - possible to make a small project in Poland? [18]

You will be a stranger in Poland. You don't speak Polish and probably have darker skin color. Poland is homogeneous country, not everybody speaks English there. You did not write what you would like to do there? If you want to feel comfortable then go to multicultural country or a Muslim one. For example Turkey.

News / Turkey abolished visas for Poles. [80]

Turkey has just abolished visas for Poles and in this way 20USD can be saved when going for vacation. Poland moves from 14th to 13th place in Visa Restrictions Index.

henleyglobal.com/files/download/hvri/HP%20Visa%20Restrictions%20Index%20141101.pdf

- I have just made a decision to abolish the visa requirement for Poles, Polish patriots who want to frequently visit the country, where he died the great bard Adam Mickiewicz. Each contemporary resident Lechistan can no fortifications and impediments to visit Istanbul - Prime Minister Davutoglu said at the ceremony crowning the celebrations of the 600th anniversary of the establishment of the Polish-Turkish diplomatic relations.
