Love / Why do Polish women prefer foreigners for boyfriends and husbands? [418]

both Polish girls in the office hate Polish men as well

Where do you work? Listen bud, Polish women are no trophy and they are not all beautiful. Some act like b'itches who think they're better cuz they are Polish Women. Screw that! I live in Canada and some date Polish guys and some do not. But then they pay for it. Anyways, I think Polish women are kinda dumb anyways and sometimes give Poles a bad name abroad. STOP PUTTING C'UNTS ON A PEDESTAL.

Life / POLISH TEENAGERS TURN TO PROSTITUTION... [77]

This could be a sensationalized article. If you have parents that don't give a s'hit about you then this could be an extreme consequence. Usually girls that do this are uneducated or come from extremely poor conditions. Maybe they've been sexually abused and want to use sex as a weapon. Typical textbook psychology. That beeing said slut's can be found in any society and I think it takes a special kind of kind of girl to turn to prostitution.

News / Polish Policeman shoots down a foreigner in Warsaw [300]

First of all, this could've happened anywhere.
Secondly, I don't care who you are and what you do but nobody wants to shoot someone for no reason. If this Nigerian tried to steal the gun of the Police officer then of course he deserved to get shot. Should the police officer lose his life so he does not offend the n'igger?! That's absurd. Don't f'uck with the police. I know I never have. The surprising thing is that there are 32 Nigerians selling s'hit in Warsaw. What the h'ell, are they trying to turn the city into Paris or something? If they're into illegal s'hit, deport them.

News / Flood situation worsens in southern Poland [119]

Thread attached on merging:
RIVER FLOODS

What country in Europe is able to handle flooding in the best way possible? I mean are there technologies besides dykes that have been implemented in other European cities that Poland could use? How often does Poland get flooded in comparison to its neighbours?

News / ANTI-POLONISM IN EUROPE [39]

In Germany, there tends to be the perception that Poles are inferior.

I have mixed feelings about this country. I have read comments like yours and still wonder why the h'ell Poles want to work in Germany? I would hate to see Poles taking it in the a'ss because they felt like they had to.

News / ANTI-POLONISM IN EUROPE [39]

Where is the biggest anti-Polonism in Europe today? As a Polish citizen, where would you not like to travel? We could divide this by West and Eastern Europe. If you've been a victim of ant-Polish attitude then what was the reason behind it?

Life / COMBATING "POLACK" JOKES [460]

PlasticPole

Polish jokes are about as humorous as the Three Stooges. Most people require more than a pie in the face to laugh.

In America late night comedians still mock Germany- imitating their accents and perpetuating the Nazi image. They mock the funny clothing that Germans used to wear and those funny hats with the feathers. The happy slap dancing is always good to poke some fun at. "Inglorious Basterds" poked fun at Germans ("anybody want another sour kraut sandwich?"). A couple of the Nazi officers were portrayed in this movie as overly masculine and butch - another jab at Germans. Truthfully I see more jokes/stereotypes of Germans than of Poles.

News / POLISH GAS RESERVES [40]

Can anyone shed some light on this? I read Americans are going to drilling for it. Why can't Poles do it themselves? What are the details?

Life / Polish stereotypes of other nationalities!? [472]

I got to know a few Germans this year:
- humorless f'ucking people. Seroiusly, nothing makes them smile.
- love beer a bit too much. Sometimes they drink at work too. Leads me to believe that they are not as professional as one might think. Drink more than Poles for sure.

- b'itchy girls . . . well maybe more cold than anything.

Jews
- anti-Polish
- arrogant, belligerant
-very Jewy
-love big paintings and silverware
- very incestuous, only help their own people

History / How was Poland compensated after World War 2 [47]

Don't have time to go through all of this BUT Poles who were murdered by Germans or lost property and personal possessions were not compensated monetarily? Nobody got anything??!! How the hell did Jews get personally compensated? No wonder modern day Poles hate their neighbours.

Life / WHY DO POLES USE ENGLISH WORDS IN CONVERSATION? [396]

... I guess except a few snobbish people like yourself thinking you better than everyone else because you're fluent in English.

Believe me I'm not. Sometimes I need a bit of help with Polish too. Anyways, I just want Poles in Poland to retain their language and not bastardize it. In conversation either speak English or Polish. I don't want Poles to lose their minds and believe that everything "western" is automatically better.

Skysoulmate- those pics are priceless :) I actually feel better now.

Life / WHY DO POLES USE ENGLISH WORDS IN CONVERSATION? [396]

a) When I try to speak Polish, people (especially the younger ones) simply reply to me in English.

I agree 100%.

Life / WHY DO POLES USE ENGLISH WORDS IN CONVERSATION? [396]

English has been lingua franca of business and the internet, but as Sky says, we might be mixing other languages soon.
ni ha

Stop it with this nonsense. It simply sounds stupid and odd, that's all. Like the Poles don't have a word for "happening" or "manager"? Było duże happening

I think Poles living in the west snicker at this. It cheapens the Polish language.
In Warsaw I even saw a Car Wash sign in a non-tourist area.

History / How was Poland compensated after World War 2 [47]

WHAT KIND OF COMPENSATION DID POLES GET AFTER WW2?

I'd like to get this straightened out once and for all. I don't know too many details concerning this as I grew up in Canada. Did Polish people who lost family members and property at the hands of Germans get any monetary compensation? I'm lead to believe that Jews probably got the most.

Discuss.

Life / WHY DO POLES USE ENGLISH WORDS IN CONVERSATION? [396]

Seriously, why? I once knew a girl from Warsaw and she used the word "bekon" for bacon. Isn't it "boczek"? I've also heard the phrase "happening" or "happen-ingu" and even "manedżer" for the word manager. Yet another one is "hit"- like "to jest hitem". F'ucking drives me nuts. Is Poland going through an identity crisis? If you would like to illustrate more examples of the Polish language going into extinction, then entertain us.

Sad thing is, it's not just Poland. I hear in Germany it's similair.

Life / HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE POLAND IN 2010? [84]

Just curious to see how the country's changed.
Are Poles still the conservative types when compared to western Europeans and N.Americas? What sets Poles apart from the rest?
Is the younger generation doomed to repeat some of the mistakes of the west (this is open to your interpretation by the way)? I ask this because the typical eastern European mentality is that everything that's from the west is the best, etc. I don't necessarily believe this.

Discuss.

Polonia / Poles and Austrians, do they get along? Vienna districts? [30]

As long as you will not sing drunken songs at night in their ship-shape hotels they will pretend that they love you ;-)

I read that Right Wing parties are gaining prominence in Austria. Y'know ant-immigrant and all that jazz.

Polonia / Poles and Austrians, do they get along? Vienna districts? [30]

Austria has become anti-Slavic? They have been for some time. Just because they are Catholic doesn't mean they are pro-Poland. They are anti-Serbia in some way too.

Can you please explain why? I have an Austrian roommate. This is not a topic I feel like bringing up with him.

Law / WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE EURO CURRENCY TO POLAND? [101]

convex

No. They didn't sign an opt-out agreement. The only choice is to leave the EU.

Are you serious? They can't sign one in the near future? How did Britain get away with this? I hear they still use the pound.

Love / Do you think that Polish should stick to Polish? [128]

I've been looking for a nice Polish man but it seems as though I just cannot find one.

I live in Toronto. You can get a hold of me if you wish :) I pretty much grew up here but yes I agree Poles should stick with Poles. Italians still cling to Italian culture and Pakis, Indians and Chinese stick to theirs. It hurts that some Poles are anti-Polish. I can't do anything about it.

I had sushi last evening with my Polish friend. She dated an Arab and he wanted to get married to her etc. but she did not want to change for him. He wanted to get all Muslim on her. They broke up. I congratulated her. She said, " at first it's all lovey dovey, kisses on the cheek and holding hands but when things get more serious, problems arise because of the different cultures." Some silly girls don't learn this.

News / Is it possible that Polish president was assasinated? If so then, by whom? [921]

To all conspiracy theorists: why would the Ruski's take out a president that was unpopular in Poland and was going to lose the next election in just a few months? And I don't think the Ruski's could get a copy of the guest list on the plane, so I would rule out that they were targeting someone else. Why would they want to orchestrate this disaster and waste their resources on investigating it with the Poles? Because of this, Katyń has hit the world headlines and sympathy has poured out to Poland. I'm guessing Putin was hoping for all of this?
