News / Demonstrations in Poland in defence of democracy. [2554]

Another episode of the madness. Daniel Fried, a former US Ambassador to Poland, now sanctions coordinator at the US State Department, is coming to Poland next week. What happens next ? A guy from Soros financed NGO start screaming that US is worried about the situation in Poland, that's why they send Fried to "control" things.

Then Fried speaks up that he is coming... to talk about sanctions on Russia...

News / PiS to impose blanket retail tax in Poland [291]

The fact that they only budgeted for 7 billion suggests that the hole doesn't actually exist.

That one of your problems. You are totally clueless about what's going on here.

Lack of "political stability" (real or not) is not the same as country being democratic or not

You don't have to tell me that but unfortunately markets don't care about that. Just like when Ukraine was under attack with "hard power" from the east, "markets" made their currency, ratings etc. collapse. Now when Poland is attacked with "soft power" from the west, "markets" again don't give a damn what is right or wrong. They just see "political instability" and reacts.

What does the S&P rating have to do with democracy?

They were downgraded due to the whole noise about "lack of freedom and democracy" in Poland. No kidding, lack of "political stability" (weather the reasons behind it are true or not) is one of negative factors for investors.

They base their assessment on hard politics

Sure they do and when they see the risk of government being overthrown there it goes - "political instability".

If some powerful entity tried to trigger off something similar in Germany, they would easily succeed. Actually that's what happening in Germany, however they "democrats" just send the riot police against protesters and censor the media, so it's all "stable".

Then do the right thing and stop destroying our democracy and economy

In the sick mind of you and your tiny crowd that means Kaczyński shooting himself in the head, Macierewicz setting himself alight, Michnik becoming president for life and Petru the new PM (despite 3% of real support, but what do they know damn peasants from Poland B) making Poland adopt EUR ASAP (without referendum, again what these peasants know, we "democrats" know better) all the farm land being sold to "foreign investors" together with PKP, forests, PZU and whatever is still not in owned by foreign corporations and governments. Then 0% tax forever for "foreign investors", instead tax the average guy to the point they will die out, then bring in "refugees" to fill the hole. If some feckers dare to protest, call them fascists and terrorists and bring in "EU army" to "stabilize" things.

Then at last, freedom and democracy. Junker, Martin Schultz, Merkel and "markets" will approve and praise.

Just goes to show how much the post-commie KOD are harming the country.

True. The rating agencies are not as powerful as before the crisis but overall it is a very bad development. But now why did they downgrade the credit rating ? Because of "political instability" ! I doesn't matter that a number of protesting "democrats" is tiny, as our "KOD VIP" said, it is "enough to keep the world watching and talking". So the world is talking and that will cost us several billion this year alone. Just shows these feckers are ready to destroy the country just to get back to koryto.

Attempted execution by stoning by 3 North African men on Transgender Women

I wonder If Biedroń/Grodzkie and all are going to comment on that... Any homo already pushed off the roof ? Either censored or still ahead of us. The "funniest" thing is when the shyt really hits the fan, all the homos, lefties etc. will be hiding behind the backs of "kibole", "fascists" etc.

bad reputation and the media coverage almost certainly had a negative affect on the perception of Poles and tourism income in Warsaw.

Perhaps among homos. You see, homo tourism is not the centre of the universe. Most likely income from religion related tourism is several times bigger. You gays live in your small "liberal" world but the truth is that it doesn't have much to do with reality. In reality Orban would most likely defeat Merkel in elections for the head of "European Commission" (that if "elites" bothered to organize elections for that position) no matter how many lies about him your "liberal press" spread.

tens of thousands of people attending the Polish pro-democracy rallies

Many more people attend crappy football matches. The whole show was clearly ignored by vast majority of people. Even you "democrats" know it well.

Food / I thought Polish beer couldn't compete, but I was wrong [20]

I only drink Kozel here in Warsaw

There's easily a 100 Polish beers much better than Kozel. What you call "Polish beer" is mass manufactured crap. There are many local breweries next to that crap.

News / Police in Poland admits spying on journalists. [11]

Polish Police admits carrying out surveillance operations in 2014 against large number of journalists (and their families) who were dealing with the "tape scandal" - when major politicians from previous regime were recorded in the restaurant talking about shady relations with business, corruption and other nasty things.

The PiS government just manipulated the legislation in their favour to get rid of the management of state own media houses

They changed the management of the public media just like all previous governments did, how they are going to operate after changes is to be seen, the worst case scenario is "the same crap as before". Besides, public media in Poland, that's like ~20% of TV market, ~5% in case of radio and 0% in case of press and internet. Overall like 10% of the media as TV is dying out and internet is growing. With that market share, government trying to make the public media "pro-gov" is just shooting itself in the foot.

In case of Germany, it turns out that government is able to control all the mainstream media over there, something that would totally impossible in Poland. Without internet we would never hear about the recent "events". And in case you didn't notice, there has been not a single day recently without Gerries lecturing Poland on "democratic values", "free speech" etc. While in fact there have it far worse at home. It's like Pol Pot was criticizing Putin for being too brutal.

If 38% of the people who voted, wanted a government

Dude, are you retarded ? They won free and democratic elections that were run according to the same rules as x previous ones. In democratic countries usually no more than 60% actually vote and hardly ever a single party gets more than 50% of that. Show me the list of Europeans countries where the ruling party got more than 50% of votes out of total population of voters. I'm waiting.

there were one or two rapes and close to 200 sexual assaults.

What are "sexual assaults" ? One doesn't have to insert his dick to be charged with rape. It seems that when denying all these "events" is not possible anymore, "oh but there were only one or two rapes" line is being brought up to play it down.

There is a lot of grey hair in those photos..... certainly the ones I took. Where were the militant youth ?

Many older folks, usually with bored faces saying "can we end this show already?" is something I noticed too on the pictures from these demos. Where do they come from ? I don't know. Some conspiracy theories say they get paid for attending these events... but I think that would be too risky. Perhaps their children that are members of the opposition parties push they out over there.

Some protester...
