If i am right about this , and these clowns are just a bunch of guys trying to sell some scrap metal to earn some Christmas beer money , then they really did pick the wrong target..! There must be tons of metal gates hanging around and rusting outside disused factories all over Poland , but no , these muppets decided to steal a lump of metal that made headlines all over the world , and had most of the population of Poland looking out for them....Not the brightest people in Poland i suspect...!

Ha..if some local Poles have stolen it just for scrap metal they sure picked the wrong target...I am sure there are tons of unatended metal around Poland that they could have stolen , and probably got away with...But these dummies decided to steal a sign that had every cop in Poland looking for it... Its good the sign is recovered though before Israel launched a nuclear strike on Poland..

Life / Winter in Poland? [160]

Up here in Ostrowice its minus 15 outside , and +5 degrees inside my house , its bloody freezing , my hands are so cold i can hardly feel the keyboard on my puter....I shall not complain if it gets a bit warmer....My water pipes have frozen up , can,t see out of the windows because they have iced up...How long before spring...?

Travel / Driving from UK to Ukraine via Poland - need car insurance [46]

Yes you can buy insurance at the Ukrainian border , at inflated prices , but still cheap by English standards , i doubt its fully comp though , probably just the minimum cover to make you legal in Ukraine , the insurance is intended to cover you against injuring one of their citizens ,or damaging something Ukrainian , they are not too concerned about your damage....

I didn,t bother with the international driving permit when i went there , the Police were quite happy to accept my Uk driving licence when i got stopped...

Medical insurance i don,t know anything about , you would have to check that out with a traval agents i guess...If you get it , check it covers the cost of getting you back home after an accident....

Have a fun time in Ukraine..its a great country , lovely people nice food and beer...the roads are bloody terrible , make sure your tyres and suspension are in good condition , and be prepared for potholes of megga proportions....

Hopefully people will judge her as a person , and not as a Russian , she is a childrens teacher , a warm and loving person , not a person its easy to dislike really...

shopper or pedestrian who seems unaware that there are others in his/her vicinity. Sometimes I feel I am the only one making any effort to avoid bumping into others.

The scarey thing is...these people behave the same way when they get behind the wheel of a car...one of the reasons for the high accident rate in Poland....

I have never seen any evidence that Polish guys are more violent towards women than guys of any other nationality...I can think of one guy i know who is built like a tank , he is a member of my Motorcycle club , the sort of guy you would not want to pick a fight with , twice i have seen his petite wife give him a right battering when he was acting like an ******* , but there was never any sign he would hit her back....I think Polish women are more likely to be the ones to get a bit physical in a relationship , probably because they know most Polish guys would not hit a woman... There is no excuse for hitting a woman , and i might add , there is no excuse for a woman to hit a man either...

There are plenty of Polish guys with English girlfriends , and English wives and English guys with Polish women....There is no reason why international relationships wouldn,t work as well as any other....My son has a Polish girlfriend , and is very happy with her , i am just begining a relationship with a Russian woman , the world is shrinking , lets mix up the gene pool a little , its good for the human race....!

Its interesting to hear you say this Lukasz , i always imagined that any hostility from polish people would be stronger towards the Russians , as this is much more recent in Polish history,,,But i suppose you are right , its the Russian system that was at fault , not the people themselves... they were victims also...

Yes i know that there are many Russian scammers out there , just after money , but there are also some very lovely , and genuine Russian women... I think i can tell the difference between the two....

This lady was married , but is now divorced , and like me is looking for the right one...

Its not costing me anything to chat to the lovely lady night after night , and i am enjoying the inteligent conversation... The relationship has only just begun . but so far it feels just right...

My lady is from your city , Sasha , and you know how lovely those Moscow women are......

In the spring we will meet , then i will know for sure....

Nothing wrong with virtual realtionships , they have as much chance of success as any other way of meeting people... Of course , the meeting face to face is the real test , but there is no harm in getting to know each other over the net , as long as both parties are truthfull it should work out ok...
