News / Mysterious death of Magdalena Żuk on holiday in Egypt [144]

..but she could not go there by herself cus she was not mentally capable

Stating the obvious.

kick her out of Hotel.

Or sent her back to to Poland. Is it the hotel's fault that the Polish tour company's chosen airline wouldn't let her board?

they put trust in civil services.

In a tiny resort in a developing country? When you were in the village of Marsa Alam, did you see many 'civil services'.

cant you not follow simple strain in conversation?

Now, now.

It seems obvious that a remote cluster of resort hotels geared to families and the elderly and a large town full of partying groups will have different infrastructure and different experience in dealing with problems.

Doesn't it Greggs?

And given that the place she stayed was full of Rainbow Tours people who booked from Poland and the airport gate she was turned away from due to extreme behaviour was for a flight to Poland, it seems odd that there was such a dearth of good Samaritans. Perhaps some nationalities are just more likely to look the other way at the time and make a fuss afterwards.

some polish tv went to Egypt to talk with locals.and they said this guy tourist manager, was involved in fishy business with girls.

I wouldn't put much weight on that. Desperately poor people will say anything in front of a TV camera.

how on earth can such person have any idea what to do?where to go?

It looks like you've misunderstood, Greggs. Those are much bigger places, with tourist infrastructure and more geared up to dealing with problems.

I wonder if there were many other Poles at the resort or at the flight gate to Poland that she was turned away from for extreme behaviour - if a something was going on and they noticed, would they have taken the time to help a stranger or looked the other way and not helped?

More sad than anything else.

If you don't know the place, Marsa Alam is a very remote resort, barely a town at all, mostly a cluster of all-inclusive places, geared to the elderly and family groups - the very opposite of party central. Perhaps the outcome would have been very different if she'd gone to Sharm Al Sheik or Hurghada, or been with others, rather than the issue being picked up by a holiday company's 9-5 rep..

Every year one in 500 people have a incident or are managing psychosis. Nothing unusual, rare or shocking about it,

Yes. I've seen this a few times in the UK and even more here in Poland. Including at a (supposedly posh) hotel resort, where the police had to come to take someone away - I suspect he went eventually to hospital. Extreme things can and do happen.

Flakka is a recreational drug with a very unpleasant taste and short-lived effects. Hard to spike with anything other than a tiny dose.

The hotel was all-inclusive. I wonder if she was at the bar much,

some do

As far as I know they just make you drowsy and forgetful. There's only so many pills that don't have a foul taste - roofies among them.

Lariam

A small percentage of users do have nasty side-effects from Lariam - including behaviour very close to psychosis.

Do we know if she'd got some before setting off ot if a Polish doctor had given her any shots before leaving?

News / Polish serial killer, the Vampire of Bytom, due for release [5]

What kind of person would be interested in such morbid acts to actually pay to go watch them being acted out for entertainment.

Unfortunately all too many in some parts of the world, given the American TV documentary film about it - quite a genre of such shows, and must be a demand over there or they wouldn't make them.

Here in Poland, people are more concerned about his release later this year.

There are some powers, introduced by the last government that can force released criminals to reside in closed centres (not prisons) if they are deemed to remain a very serious risk to the public, however the last Polish serial killer to be controlled that way needed to be released before that happened.

"oh well,

Who said "oh well". You, actually. It isn't an "oh well" matter.

language barrier

Read the extensive coverage in the Polish language media on the issue, particularly about the role of the Polish packafe tour operator in the resort. They cover this in detail. Inn Polish, of course.

News / Polish serial killer, the Vampire of Bytom, due for release [5]

Here's a bit of background and a link to an American documentary on the guy:

One of Poland's most notorious serial killers, Leszek Pekalski confessed to murdering dozens of people - men, women and children. Pekalski's mother was a violent alcoholic who drank heavily while pregnant with Pekalski and his twin sister.

The children were subjected to extreme physical violence at the hands of their mother and grandmother on a daily basis, neglected and often starved.

Questions should be asked about this strange episode, for goodness sake

Like an inquest?

uggestion that she might have been spiked on the night she arrived

The psychotic episode lasted much more than a night and her behaviour deteriorated through out her stay.

News / Polish serial killer, the Vampire of Bytom, due for release [5]

Leszek Pękalski, the famous "Vampire of Bytom" is due for release this year. He was accused of murdering 17 women in cold blood, convicted of one sample case and later admitted to 67 murders (some sorces say 80).

Very interesting how he'll resettle in his community.

The thing about lying is that is difficult to maintain it.

Don't be daft.

She was on holiday alone. This is a fact.
She was taken to hospital due to a psychiatric episode. This is a fact.

Whoever said she was alone in hospital? Only you.

because you are making no sense that patient is on their own

You are, as usual, pretending to misunderstand simple facts.

Travel / Taxis from Gdansk airport? [65]

Either get Uber or just use the new express shuttle train direct from the airport to Gdynia.

Evidently you have as little shame as the conspracy theorists, the tabloid journalists and the fake tv detective (the one who kidnapped a child in Norway) since you think there's something wrong in sticking to the known facts; that she had a psychotic episode, was driven to the regional hospital and died there after violent behaviour.

News / Polish academic - are PiS are in a pact with global Freemasonry? [5]

someone who has connections with Radio Maryja, Trwam and Nasz Dziennik

More than just 'connections'; he has years of very close associations with all three media nodes.

they might say something negative or incriminating

In what way do you think it's 'negative or incriminating'?

UK, Ireland / Polish slave trader in the UK has sentence increased [56]

I must have missed the part of that site where it said it posted wild estimates are tens of thousands of times larger than verifiable cases.

Yes, I missed it too; the pitfalls of skim-reading. I'm sure Mafektis can point us to that bit.

News / Polish academic - are PiS are in a pact with global Freemasonry? [5]

Dr Stanislaw Krajski, a much published speaker on current affairs in Poland, who often broadcasts on Radio Maryja, TV Trwam and writes in Nasz Dziennik asks if the PiS junta have entered a pact with global Freemasonry. Worth a watch if you understand Polish.

Another of many cases here:

farm owner was linked to a Polish network that regularly transported people to Britain. One day we managed to escape. The traffickers caught up with us. They tried to force us into their car and punched me in the face.

UK, Ireland / Polish slave trader in the UK has sentence increased [56]

Here's another awful case of vulnerable people being brought in. The Polish drivers made £68,000 between them. Nothing reported about the intended fate of the victims:

Dariusz Mokrogulski, 45, Dariusz Drozdz, 40, Grzegoez Czechowski, 39, and Radoslaw Cwikla, 39, all admitted conspiracy to facilitate illegal entry of non EU citizens into the UK. Judge Charles Gratwicke... said: "This was a highly organised operation.

The North Korean thing is a disgrace

it is indeed, and there are other sharply capitalistic practices going on here also.
