Travel / Poland travel with baby (car seat?) [18]

you will need the car seat for the plane unless the baby is going to sit on your lap.(check with airline)
besides you might need it while you are there.
you can get some quite light ones, not hard to carry about.

UK, Ireland / Benefit cuts for Poles in The UK? [143]

If he limits universal benefits for Poles he has to do the same for British Nationals.

Barney speaks truth.

News / Poland is the source of horsemeat in burgers? [169]

of course there are cover-ups in the UK jon, on all kinds of levels and no only to do with food.
if you think otherwise you are deluding yourself.

News / Poland is the source of horsemeat in burgers? [169]

Yes, doesn't seem to be involved,

it will be on some level though, I go to a monthly horse sales here in UK where horsemeat dealers are in evidence, they probably transport to France.

News / Poland is the source of horsemeat in burgers? [169]

vCJD was discovered in the early 1990's. You might want to explain your lies.

dont be silly it was around for years before the early 1990s it was knows as scrapie in sheep, for example.

Test's have not backed up that the meat came from Poland.

As I said, unless you have proof of you claims you are being libelous.

oh fgs can no one have a discussion about anything, talking about what has been discussed in the papers, without some oversensitive flower crying 'lies' libel'!!

UK, Ireland / Polish is Britain's second language, says UK report [52]

as for Italy i don't think its a particularly new or controversial idea that they're one of the most child-friendly countries in Europe..

cant agree with that,ok they are good at pinching the cheeks of small children and making them cry then giving them a nasty boiled sweet to cheer them up but try and get around your average Italian city with a child in a pushchair, do some shopping for essentials, and see how 'child-friendly' it is (as one example).

News / Poland rejects H1N1 vaccine [28]

I'd be careful about anti-vaccination comments. About the same level of common sense and integrity as the anti-fluoridation nonsense

oh right so i display a lack of sense and non-integrity by not wishing my daughter to be injected with experimental drugs in her school lunch hour? I seeeeeeee

(btw it is the hpv vaccine to which i refer)
as for the hn1 vaccine, someone is making a heap of cash out of it.

USA, Canada / Differences in How Polish People Raise a Child and How Americans Raise a Child [149]

Isn't it an offence to leave a "child" under 16 at home alone? In the UK, I mean?

no it is not, although this myth is commonly peddled; in fact there is no law on this, just, say the house burnt down while you were out, you would be held responsible.

oh, and what Pip said about the spoon feeding - IME that is true, without going into details.

UK, Ireland / Polonization of Britain - Tipping Point Confirmed in 2011 Census [97]

The average cross-section of a British person in our own country is a middle class worker who spends most of his money in the UK, eventually marrying, having two children & buying a house. Probably claiming Child Benefit for 2 kids.

what rubbish - you have just dismissed 50 per cent of the workforce for a start, and how can you have a 'cross-section' of a worker?

UK, Ireland / Polonization of Britain - Tipping Point Confirmed in 2011 Census [97]

alexnye

Even the "Hard working" ones make no considerable net contribution to our country.

i am sure all workers make as much contribution as each other, whether British or otherwise.

I'd hazard a guess - very very few Polish immigrants are making a contribution to our country.
They're breeding more than the British, and even the Muslims. What does that tell you?

if those wild statements were backed up with fact or even a link, more people might be convinced.

UK, Ireland / Polonization of Britain - Tipping Point Confirmed in 2011 Census [97]

it is the British who, as multiculturalists, should be taking steps to celebrate, adopt and preserve Polish ways.

if you have any more of that stuff you are taking, send some over, it must be trippy, otherwordly stuff.

oh an cali, the saying is 'perfidious Albion' btw, not 'perfidious british'

why are you guys so easily confused between decisions taken by the government and ordinary people?
it is like me holding you responsible for every decision of GWBush.

History / Should we glorify Polish secondary female characters from history? [36]

yes i was just thinking much the same, i just used the famous cavalry/tanks thing to illustrate how much of history is BS.......
ok so we need illustrious Polish women who are not spies, hermaphrodites or Marie Curie.
anyone?
