She should've found a guy to marry, if she wanted to stay.

She said she would never do that to stay in the US or any other country

I'm sorry, don't want to be harsh, but did she really think she could just move in and out of the country on a Visa that has been expired for 4 years?

Its not harsh, she could of went back and renewed it, all her friends are still living here.

Thats who she misses the most are her GF`s that she grew up with, they all live in Chicago legally now,,go figure??

I read a post in this thread that a girl who overstayed her visa for 4 years and then went back to PL for a family visit, cannot enter the US for 10 years. And this is ridiculous, Sledz?

Its true , I just talked to her on skype the other day she lives in Rzeszow.

Her mother became Ill and had to go back ( I would do the same) and then she told me they stamped a no entry for 10 years on her passport..

She made a few attempts on trying to get back but they wont budge, so shes planning on going to England or Spain next.

She wants to get out of Poland

The younger generation should become more involved in government and make the necessary changes as they see fit, instead of all the old old ways of the mummified politicians we have now.

Im sure they probably would try that right away, trick him into signing something.

think he was in trouble when he came here

I know this girl that overstayed her visa for over 4 years then went back to Poland for family reasons, and now she cant come back to the US for 10 years.

outstayed his visa they look down on that.

Thats pretty much guaranteed a deportation, It might be too late even for an attorney?

Whatever you'll file for it's gonna cost you some serious bucks

Oh I used to lives Lawrence and Nagle and it is my old neighborhoods for 35 yrs.

Theres this tiny little place at Lawrence and Austin called Halinias(sp) that I thought was pretty good as well.

I am having visitors from Indiana. My family are very old fashioned who don't eat American foods but only Polish Dishes. I am trying to find good restaurants to take them since I don't live in Chicago.

This is the best place for Polish Buffet, they have a regular menu also.

I am updating the Polish Restaurants for 2010.

When you update, that means you would be adding some kind of new information,,,, no?

How many Polish Restaurants in NW Chgo. & Surburban Area?

There are many in the city that Ive visited, I only know of a few delis in the burbs.
Too many to post right now:)

I do not want to travel to restaurants if they aren't in business.

Yeah, that would suck to drive all the way to the old Polish hood just to find,, Si Habla Espaniol,,especial leche $2.49 amiga...lol

If you would like to go to a Ma and Pa type of place try Smakoz they have really good food at reasonable prices, also they have liquor and piwo but its not a bar type atmosphere.

Weve had a couple PF meet ups there before and everybody seems to enjoy it:)

BTW, Asian carp DNA was found in water sample of Chicago river (no sighting of the fish tho, they say)

Ive heard a report that one was found in Lake Erie, not sure if its true but I hope not.

The state of Minnesota and Michigan are trying to get an injunction to close down the Illinois shipping canal.

I don't see how though, carp aren't really predators
