News / Poland -- Europe's only counterweight to Russia [271]

Adrian, it wasn't Putin that took quick business in russia, neither was it the 'western world'. The Iraqi put the highest pressure on ISIS.

The Iraq army ran away with their tales between their legs when ISIS came to Mosul. At first, ISIS only planned to go to the prisons and release the inmates like that had done before. They quickly realized that they weren't going to just get the prisons, but the entire city. ISIS was vastly outnumbered in Mosul when they marched in, but the soldiers change into civilian clothes all ran away with the tail between their legs.

Also, Putin did a far better job than the US did in a shorter amount of time. He bombed the hell out of them while the US was just flying a few jets a day - most of which didn't even drop ordinance. Furthermore, the $500 million program to arm moderate Syrians was an utter disaster. Not only did they only find a few dozen 'moderate' Syrians - but the majority of the weapons they delivered ended up in the hands of ISIS anyway. The US would give weapons to people that they thought were 'moderates' but really they were sympathizers with ISIS. The US lost some 1,200 hummers - that's just pathetic. Iraq will remain one of the ugliest parts of US foreign policy and a total failure by the Obama administration. We don't follow the 'to the victor goes the spoils' like other countries when they fight a war. Not only did we not take the oil, but we lost trillions in the process and now Iraq is even worse now then it was under Saddam - during which the economy was thriving.

he Russians bomb the opposition, the NATO bombs the kurds.

Russia is bombing mostly opposition groups that are fighting against Assad like the FSA. They don't care that much about ISIS because Putin wants Assad to remain in power. The main group that's bombing the Kurds is Turkey, which happens to be a NATO member. The Turks have half decent relations with the Kurds in Iraq but not the Kurds in Syria or Turkey. They view many of the Kurdish organizations like the PKK as terrorist groups.

Get over it and help the people instead of trying to prove how strong you are.

The problem is that the migrants are all coming to Europe. I can understand helping the Syrians out, but Syrian refugees don't make up the majority of migrants coming into Europe. Also, I'm not trying to prove how strong I am or anything of the sorts. All I'm stating is that I wish we didn't have such a weakling as Obama.

Life / First hand experiences of the Mafia in Poland [28]

The mafia isn't as powerful as it use to be in Poland during the 1990's. Now the closest thing to a mafia would be a couple of dealers that pool resources to get a better deal from a supplier or perhaps a family that's all involved in amphetamine production and distribution. Poland supplies a ton of amphetamines and is increasingly growing more marijuana - for both the domestic market and abroad. Poland use to get most of it's quality marijuana from Holland and Germany but now that's changing as more people learned how to grow properly.

However, in terms of like a what we think of as a mafia - like the Italians in the US and Italy, that doesn't really exist in Poland anymore.

News / Poland -- Europe's only counterweight to Russia [271]

war in Syria

Yeah Russia took care of business very quickly in Syria - I really applaud them for that. Putin spanked the monkey again.

The freedom of speech laws are appalling in Britain. I thought freedom of speech, press, assembly, etc. was under siege in America till I realized what's been happening in England. If you're not a lefty, multi-kulti lover, you essentially don't have any rights and can land in jail very easily. Even the 'patriotic' groups like the EDL aren't sincere in their actions as they are being supported by Zionists - they even have their own 'Jewish Division' inside the EDL after the rumors of Israeli support just became too prevalent and they couldn't deny them anymore.

I don't know about paid British/US state sponsored trolls. I'm sure there are ones for US political parties - but I do know for a fact that trolls are state organized and paid in Russia.

I'm one of the few Poles that likes Putin - at least he has balls and greatly diminished ISIS's unlike Obama, who instead wasted $500 million arming a couple dozen 'moderate' Syrians - most of the weapons the US sent went to ISIS and Al-Qaeda anyway.

News / Polish priest caught in hand-of-God action on train in Tri-City area. [39]

About facts being distorted by propaganda

What propaganda do you speak of? Earlier in response to my post you wrote - If the Catholic Church never killed anyone, never tortured anyone, never sent children to fight their wars, never molested a child[..]. You can listen to whomever you like. However the CC church done nothing of the sort. I dare say you don't know what you are talking about.

Sorry I skipped most of what you wrote there about popes as all that have no bearing on the argument were are having here.

Yes it does because we were debating that the church ought to admit it's own misdeeds before directing what a woman that they've never met should do or not do with their body. How is the Catholic church going to call 'gay marraige' the devil's work when their own priests are having butt sex and fondling altar boys? How is the church going to tell people not to have sex outside marriage when their own clergy is having both male and female lovers as well as illegitimate children? How come they are so against gay people, many of whom want to be included in the Catholic church, yet they won't admit they had a few queer popes. I'm sure you've heard of Senior Vatican priest - Krzysztof Charamsa? There's lots of gay priests - estimates go from 23% to 58% of priests are gay with the highest percentage being young priests. I recommend you read some works by James Martin, SJ (means Society of Jesus by the way - aka Jesuits) or Rev. Donald B. Cozzens on this topic.

Once the Catholic Church comes clean - as they have in the past with other events like their role in killing Protestants, admit their sins, and pray for forgiveness perhaps then they will show to be a better example.

Pope John Paul II was great in this regard because he at least came forth and admitted the sins of the Catholic Church and apologized for them - some of these include the 4th crusade attack on Constantinople, not giving a crap during the holocaust, burning Protestants at the stake, executing Jan Hus, violations of women's rights, AND APOLOGIZING FOR THE WAY GALILEO WAS TREATED - does that fall into your category of 'The Church never did any of those things?' Well, if they didn't then why would Pope John Paul II apologize for them?

John Paul II was also one of the first to apologize for the Church's sex abuse in 2001 - this was I believe actually the first email the pope had sent. He apologized for the way missionaries behaved in Colonial times in China in that same email.

How can you say the Catholic church never did any of those things - murder, rape, molestation, children fighting wars? That's paramount to saying the Holocaust never happened. The Inquisition, the Children's Crusade, the forced baptism of Jews (something that Poland was the first to make illegal) are all historical fact. Perhaps some 'propaganda' overestimated the numbers, but that doesn't mean that these events never took place. If they didn't why would our Polish pope apologize for them? Even the Inquisition's own people later admitted what they did. Perhaps when Galileo stated the Church was constantly harassing him and forcing him into trial it was propaganda too? Perhaps Martin Luther broke away from the Church because the whole story of selling indulgences was that propaganda as well? I recommend you do some reading on these subjects and not just believe what you want to believe and simply ignore things that are contrary to your view.

It's pretty much fact that Bishops in the US knew that priests were engaging in sexual abuse but would just cover up the evidence, not report it to police, or simply move the priest to another area - instead of removing them from the Catholic church altogether.

percentage of pedophiles in priesthood is lower than in any other profession of public trust that is dealing with children.

According to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' Office of Child and Youth Protection and independent studies commissioned by the BISHOPS in 2012: There were more than 6,905 accused priests since 1950, there were more than 16,463 victims identified to date, although there is no national database and a total of $2.5 billion in settlements and therapy bills for victims, attorneys fees and costs to care for priests pulled out of ministry from 2004 to 2011.

I haven't heard of the Chicago Teacher's Union or the Department of Education having to pay out tens of millions to abused students - rather we here of one two, usually pretty hot female teachers, who slept with some 8th grader or freshman who couldn't keep his mouth shut. I don't know about you, but there's a couple High school teachers I would've loved to hook up with.

I've never heard of 6,900 teachers or coaches being accused of sexual abuse since the 1950's - and there are far more teachers and coaches than priests in the US. There are currently about 38,000 priests in the US and about 3.7 million grade school and high school full time teachers. Remember, that earlier statement by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops stated there were 6,905 priests accused since 1950.

The statistics are actually extremely high - and even some Catholic sources admit this - boz.religionnews.com/2014/01/09/startling-statistics/
cbsnews.com/news/vatican-reveals-how-many-priests-defrocked-for-sex-abuse-since-2004/ - The Vatican revealed Tuesday that over the past decade, it has defrocked 848 priests who raped or molested children and sanctioned another 2,572 with lesser penalties, providing the first ever breakdown of how it handled the more than 3,400 cases of abuse reported to the Holy See since 2004.

americancatholic.org/news/clergysexabuse/johnjaycns.asp
Catholic News Service - About 4 percent of U.S. priests ministering from 1950 to 2002 were accused of sex abuse with a minor, according to the first comprehensive national study of the issue. The study said that 4,392 clergymen-almost all priests-were accused of abusing 10,667 people, with 75 percent of the incidents taking place between 1960 and 1984. This goes up to 2002 - a decade less than the study listed above. Nonetheless, still a shocking amount.

Let's compare that with grade school teachers - according to some source, 'sexual abuse committed by teachers' is estimated as 3.5% to 5% - however they are considering 'flirting' as sexual abuse.

nytimes.com/1995/05/21/nyregion/teacher-student-sex-said-to-be-not-unusual.html
t Ms. Shakeshaft's study quoted findings that up to 5 percent of teachers engage in some form of sexual abuse of students, from inappropriate verbal flirtation to intercourse.

Here's a joke for you: What's the difference between acne and a priest? Acne waits till your 13 to come on your face.

You obviously don't know history - or chose to disregard it. I'm assuming you've never cared to read about the Inquistion or the various married, pedophile and homosexual popes. Perhaps you didn't know the Catholic church paid $2 billion dollars to settle with victims of sexual abuse? Of course the children's crusade and the burning of protestants never happened right, despite the Pope's apology for it? There's even a great account of Polish soldiers fighting under Napoleon breaking into a Dominican monastery with the monks and priests saying they did not torture people there. Nonetheless, the soldiers found underground torture chambers.

I am Roman Catholic and I'd argue that I probably know the Bible and church history better than you do. I went to a Catholic grade school, Jesuit high school for 2 years (public the other 2 years), and a Jesuit college - there was no escaping Catholicism and I chose to go to these schools it wasn't forced upon me. Also, I studied theology, the Bible, and the role of the Catholic church throughout European history on my own because these are topics that interest me. Just because I am a Catholic doesn't mean I can't say that we did some pretty messed up things. It's time to admit it and move on. Covering up priests' sexual abuses isn't the way to go. At least our last pope admitted it and finally the church is gradually moving in the right direction - slowly but at least it's better than it was a decade or two ago.

The point is, the Catholic church really needs to think of how they're going to increase the number of parishioners and priests and stop alienating people. Many people want to even attend Church but they don't because of the Church's views on gays, abortion, women, etc. which I find very hypocritical because they won't admit some of the same mistakes that their own people have made. There's even a lot of women or married people who want to become priests but they can't with the Catholic church so they join another organization.

Don't forget, the whole abortion issue is the reason why so many women walked out of Mass in Poland.

money don't make a happy all around child. A great couple does.

You're right. Money does however purchase diapers, books, school supplies, transportation to get to school, a college education, clothes for school, etc. Love of a child and a great couple won't make those things magically appear.

little head rather then your brain at least be a man enough to face the consequences.

Well, that's why I wrap it up - but condoms aren't 100% effective. I've had one tear on more than one occasion. Good luck telling a young male to be totally chaste and wait till marriage. Would you marry someone without finding out if they're good in bed or not and if they're sexually compatible with you? I sure wouldn't.

History / Is 5th partition of Poland possible? What kind? How? When? [73]

Poland is a mono-culture

Thank God. Although this is something Poles must defend with our lives - a Muslim majority country WILL happen just west of us - it's just a matter of time.

I forsee another 'Battle of Vienna' in the future.

News / Poland directly threatened by ISIS. Do Islamists planning terrorist attacks in Poland? [390]

Serbians have bigger influence on Poles then you Brits

I would say that Poles identify very strongly with Serbs as they are Slavic. Many Poles, including myself and my family, were very sad when Belgrade was bombed. However, I would argue that in terms of politics, England had more influence than Serbia mainly because of the enormous Polish immigrant community there.

Also, if you wish to watch unedited, full versions of ISIS propaganda videos try BestGore and LiveLeak. Looks like Britain may be the next target. It's only a very short matter of time before there will be another attack in Europe - I give it 2-3 months, 1-2 weeks for a large attack outside Europe.

Oh how the West underestimated this J.V. League... When ISIS stated that they were going to infiltrate Europe by exploiting the migrant crisis they weren't lying. The more patriotic types were screaming about this but the multi-kulti folks just dismissed it as fear mongering. Perhaps the 5,000 number is too high - but it doesn't matter it only takes a few. The problem is that these 'no-go' Sharia migrant zones do not expose the terrorists living inside their communities. These guys can blatantly have AK's and bombs in their house and the neighbors will never call the cops on them. I've read many different statistics regarding how these migrants view ISIS positively - one of the lower statistics stated that 25% of Muslim migrants in Europe sympathize with ISIS, Al-Qaeda, etc. The saddest thing is that even after all these deaths and people maimed for life, which I feel is more Merkel's fault and all the people for allowing an invasion than actually the terrorists themselves, there's still lots of people supporting a multi-cultural Europe and waving 'Refugees Welcome' signs. When will people learn that this migrant invasion is not a good thing and that most of these people aren't even refugees. You wouldn't put a pitbull and a german shepherd that don't know each other in the same pen.

History / Is 5th partition of Poland possible? What kind? How? When? [73]

Lwow Eagle - Many Poles from Lwów were forced to relocate in Wroclaw.

Including my grandparents. I love Wroclaw - it's where I was born and most of my family resides. Has all the great things a big city would without all the traffic and ridiculous rent.

I don't think Poland's land borders are going to change anytime soon. I feel a partition would be more of the economic and political type.

News / Poland -- Europe's only counterweight to Russia [271]

russophobia

I agree with you - I'd love to see better relations with the Visegard 4 and Russia too. I think Poland can benefit a lot from trade with Russia - which the EU is preventing. As far as Polish society though, we've endured far too much throughout our entire history with Russia to not be russophobes. We're always going to be cautious. If maybe like 100+ years passed with no incidents, maybe opinion would change. Poles know their history very well and Russia has taken advantage of and abused Poland more times than I can count - partitions, WW2, katyn, Communism, Molotov-Ribbentrop, list goes on... I personally doubt though Poland and Russia will ever be buddy-buddy...

News / Polish priest caught in hand-of-God action on train in Tri-City area. [39]

[moved from]

Oh don't come up with this propaganda leaflets that have been long ago exposed for what they are.

What are you talking about? Pope Paul III and the Inquisition are historical fact. Canon Llorente, Secratary of The Inquisition in Madrid, argues that as many as 3 million were tortured/beaten/condemned and 300,000 were burned - in Spain alone. The torture, imprisonment, and murder of intelligentsia, scientists, and people of other faiths is well documented - maybe the numbers are a bit high in some estimates, but this isn't propaganda. That's like saying the Holocaust never happened, even an anti-Zionist like myself can admit that the Holocaust is historical fact. Even Galileo and other academics had a lot of problems because the Church insisted the world was flat and the center of the universe. Do you realize how many popes were either sexually active during their pontificate, had legitimate/illegitimate children, or were even married? It's quite a bit - and here's a few names - Pope Innocent VIII (His name is 'innocent' yet he had 2 illegitimate children one of which became a nobleman and his son later became Pope Leo X - who after his death was accused of homosexuality), Pope John XII (turned the Papal Palace into a ********** - Pope Julius III (accused of being a sodomite, unmarried but had 3 daughters - after receiving holy orders, also had his best friend become a cardinal, Innocenzo Ciocchi del Monte , who was accused of raping many women and even shared a bed with the pope himself which was the cause of a huge scandal at the time), Pope Paul III (several illigitamite children - one of the sons became a duke), Pope Alexander VI - (multiple children with a local Italian woman from the time he became a priest and into his pontificate), Pope Sixtus IV (charged Rome's brothel's a 'church tax', known pederast, homosexual, and child molester - would give out posts in return for sexual favors, loved to watch naked boys dance on tables and watch them bend over and pick up nuts), Pope Benedict IX (inherited the papacy and later sold his title to a family member - murderer, rapist, and possibly even engaged in bestiality according to Saint Peter Damian) .... and there's many, many more... This only includes a few popes - this doesn't even include all the cardinals, bishops, and priests that have similarly done despicable acts. I read the Bible and I go to Church, but until the Catholic Church owns up to its own sins, I'm not going to give a crap about them preaching on about homosexuals, abortion, etc. when their own hierarchy has been engaged in, and covered up, the very same and often times even worse acts.

There may have even been a female pregnant pope, Pope Joan who dressed up as a man and millions viewed her as the top person in the church hierarchy - yet to this day there's no female priests in the Catholic church. Much of what we know about Pope Joan is a first hand account written by Platina, who was sponsored by the same pederast I mentioned earlier - Sixtus IV. Point is, the church did some really really awful things - it's gotten much better but it's still REALLY bad. In the 1990's alone, the Catholic Church paid out over $1billion dollars to settle with victims of sex abuse by clergy. Remember the scandal with Fr. Jay Mullin and what Cardinal Bernard Law had him do?

Reality on the ground.

Exactly, and the women in Poland have decided they don't want Poland to turn into a theocracy and do not want a total ban on abortion.

That is the purpose of the Church, sorry you missed that by a mile. To be a signpost for others. Doesn't need to be spotless to preform its function.

Yes, absolutely - that is the purpose of church and religion. Nonetheless, you ought to practice what you preach. If even one out of 1,000 priests are engaged in molestation there should be a total outcry - not a cover up. Then people get a mixed message - pretend to be a chaste, humble person in tongue, but a sinner in action. When people see coverups of child molestation by priests, they don't take priests seriously as moral signposts.

Should have keep your .... in check. Boys and girls should learn there are consequences. This is not an argument.

Pencils have erasers because people make mistakes. Condoms aren't effective 100% of the time either. Thankfully we don't need to worry about that here as our laws aren't as draconian. However, if that option was unavailable the person it would hurt the most would be the child as neither the father nor the mother would've been able to give the kid a decent life.

News / Poland -- Europe's only counterweight to Russia [271]

having Poland as global power

Not gonna happen. Poland never was a global power - even at its apex during the Commonwealth years it was still the 4th largest country in Europe and had no colonies abroad.

I do agree whole heartedly though that Poland needs to focus more on the Visegard 4, which I'd love to see Serbia join, and not focus so much on EU hegemony. Poles in wealthy EU countries are viewed as like Mexico/Mexicans here in the US - cheap, skilled labor and a great local place for low cost manufacturing.

paid internet trolling by Putinists

Actually this is factual. Online trolling is actually a pretty lucrative position for a young person in Russia. I read about this a while back - the wages like $30 or something for a 12 hour shift - not bad money for a young Russian.

Life / Do Polish People steal a lot? [330]

I don't think Polish people generally steal a lot... I think it's more opportunistic theft or with the older generations just a lack of personal space. When we were building our home an old Polish lady would walk down the block with buckets and scoop up the fresh fill dirt we bought for our landscaping projects. I found it more funny than anything else.

Car theft was huge in Poland during the post Communist 90's - but that's a different story.

History / Is 5th partition of Poland possible? What kind? How? When? [73]

5th partition of Poland?

Poland's economy and government has already been partitioned.

For one, if there was an actual partition of Polish lands - I for some reason think that it would sooner be because of the EU and their neocon Zionists than Russia.

Also, I believe Russia did a much better job at 'annexing' Georgia than they did Ukraine. I thought most of those territories were handed back to Ukraine anyway after the ceasefire - I could be wrong though. I do know that Georgia lost a lot of land to Russia.

If a land partition were to occur, it wouldn't be where one country's army goes in wearing their insignia and fighting the local army. Perhaps Russia/Belarus would make some trouble with the tiny minority in the east, pretend Poland is abusing those people, and say they need to protect that minority. Highly implausible, at least in Poland, but it appears that these kinds of conflicts are more fought as proxy wars with a country backing up and supplying an ethnic minority in some land.

Another partition in my eyes of Poland would have to do with it's economy, assets, banks, politics, media, etc. You know, the things that Zionists control in nearly every European country.

Genealogy / Slavs are descendants of Sarmatians? [600]

there are no written sources which place Vandals in Poland

Genealogy / Slavs are descendants of Sarmatians? [600]

Check out some articles on the Marcomannic War aka German and Sarmatian War - this was a war fought between the German/Sarmatian peoples vs the Roman Empire. A lot of what we know about the various tribes existing in Poland, Germany, etc. as from Roman accounts during these wars as well as some writings by Ptolemy, Pliny, various Greek and Roman statesmen/military brass, and to an extent Jordanes. Here is another map from this time - note that the people that lived during this time i.e. Rugians and Gepids are grouped as general 'Goths' and Wielbark Culture.

Genealogy / Slavs are descendants of Sarmatians? [600]

Crow,

You are a bit off in your description of Sarmatian influence - they did not expand that far west and their empire was essentially assimilated with other local grounds as they moved west around the time of the Huns. Perhaps it could've reached Austria, Germany, Switzerland, maybe even northern Italy but no way did it go as far as England and France. The Gauls were the dominant people in France throughout the Roman empire. The Sarmatians/Scythians did influence the countries around Eastern Europe - modern day Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Serbia, Hungary etc. However, it also had a lot of East German, Norse, and even Celtic (La Tene culture) influence. Most of those western European countries you describe like France, Germany, England were Roman provinces and the locals were mostly barbarian tribes with a Germanic/Norse/Celtic mix. The most prevalent culture of this period (Roman empire) was La Tene which grew out of the earlier Hallstadt culture. Here is a picture of tribes that would've existed in Western Europe around 500B.C. to 100 B.C. - the Sarmatians existed at roughly the same time - 500 B.C. to 400 A.D. with 300-400 A.D. being the timewhen the Huns were gaining a lot of influence and pushing the local people further west. The Sarmatians intermarried and mixed with local East Germanic and Norse tribes - at least in Poland - like the Vandals, Goths, Rugii, Gepids, etc.

Here is a map of how Europe would've looked like in Hadrian's time - 100's C.E.

Pliny the Elder writing in the 1st century about Sarmatians:

From this point (the mouth of the Danube) all the races in general are Scythian, though various sections have occupied the lands adjacent to the coast, in one place the Getae (this would be modern day Hungary/Romania) ... at another the Sarmatae ... Agrippa describes the whole of this area from the Danube to the sea ... as far as the river Vistula in the direction of the Sarmatian desert ... The name of the Scythians has spread in every direction, as far as the Sarmatae and the Germans, but this old designation has not continued for any except the most outlying sections ...

News / Poland -- Europe's only counterweight to Russia [271]

Poland don`t have problems with Russia.

No totally wrong Crow. Poland and Russia have been at it since each other's throats since a few centuries of establishing the Kievan Rus - sometimes the Russians won sometimes the Poles one. There was a point and time where Hussars were going around Moscow and Smolensk driving 30ft lances up the arses up the land of Boyars and also won the Polish-Soviet War. Then again, Poland was partitioned by Russia three times plus a Communist satellite nation and killed a lot of leaders, intelligentsia, soldiers, etc. during WW2.

At the current time, Russia is the country that mainly gives Poland it's headaches. They're on pretty good terms with most - even with North Korea they have business deals and trade agreements for seafood. They are worried about Russia because they are the closest superpower to them. Poland is scared of what happened in Ukraine and that one day Russia could come for them. Also, there has been a significant military build-up in Kaliningrad. Ultimately, Poland is a Nato buffer state with Russia - like Romania.

Polish and Russian relations went further down during the Smolensk crash and NATO's plans to put anti-missile sites in Poland. I personally would love to see Russian Polish relationships get better so Poland could get better trade. Russian goods are cheap and no one in the EU is trading with Russia because of sanctions. It's tense to say the least, but it's not as bad now as is has been throughout Poland's history.

News / Poland -- Europe's only counterweight to Russia [271]

The article also states that most Russians don't want a war with NATO.

The result would be MAAD if nuclear weapons were used. Russia simply cannot defeat all the NATO allied countries and conversely NATO cannot conquer and subdue all of Russia. The war would be a stalemate at best and at worst total destruction for all parties.

And for sure Americans would find a way to benefit from such a disaster.

The people that shorted American Airlines stocks after 9/11 made a killing. There were Muslims, and allegedly Israelis dressed as Palestinians (see Dancing Israelis). Which is worse? The people who profit from disaster, or the people who are overjoyed at the loss of innocent life? Both are despicable... human greed and cruelty have no bounds. Machiavelli would truly be proud of Western Politicians.

CNN Live on 9/11 regarding the Dancing Israelis:
youtube.com/watch?v=UMkX5uemLyk

Nonetheless, Poland is most definitely not Europe's only counterweight to Russia. It's one of a few buffer zone pawns... like Romania. The only reason why NATO was pushing to have missle defenses there is so that they don't travel past Poland - you'd be blind to think NATO cares about Polish security - there more worried about the bomb not traveling past Poland into France, Germany, UK, etc. If anything, out of the Europe's closest neighbors to Russia - Turkey would have the most powerful army (if you consider Turkey part of Europe anyway) but Russia would crush it in an all out war even if nukes weren't used. Russia spends bit more on it's military than UK and Saudi Arabia does and spending is gradually increasing - it's in 3rd place after US and China. When you combine UK, France, and Germany it's more than double what Russia spends on it's military. Russia and China combined is roughly half of US expenditure on military. No, money isn't everything but it's a good indicator. North Korea has some nukes weaker than Hiroshima and a million man army, but it can barely feed it. Nonetheless, no one will be invading North Korea anytime soon and likewise North Korea won't be invading anyone either. Same with Iran. isn't wealthy and doesn't spend much on military but is nonetheless a pretty strong regional power. No one is going to invade Iran anytime soon, and if Iran attacked Israel it would be wiped out shortly after.

News / Demonstrations in Poland in defence of democracy. [2554]

I agree - it would be wonderful if an individual could walk up to Obama, Congress, or even the Supreme court and present your case - explain that Obama is breaking the constitution, subpoena documents, present evidence, cite precedents, etc. etc. However, that does not work. The government, both the US and Western EU government especially England, gradually takes away from people's civil liberties, guaranteed under Constitutions (of course they vary from country to country) and totally disregarding the Bill of Rights so that they are not noticed the population. We have far fewer freedoms than we did in the 80's or 90's. The bureaucracy is so built up it makes the People's Republic of Poland like a democracy.

Soon, the population will have enough and will rise up - they will counter Henry Kissinger's quote of 'The illegal we do now, the unconstitutional we do later (gradually)' and will fight it with Jefferson's 'the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.' Society is beginning to wake up and realize that PC, gun control, invasion of privacy, executive actions from Obama stating the government can confiscate private property and kill Americans using drones - all these things combined are creating a real Tyranny controlled by a few. The society is brainwashed by the government and conditioned to expect 'free things,' redistribution, hatred of the 1%, (when it's really the neocon .01% that is pulling the strings and deserving of hatred), white guilt, and worst of all the next generation is being taught this in every school in the US across America. The hard working, Catholic church going, old school moral white man is living under tyranny. In Common Core classrooms, students fill out 'distribute the wealth worksheets' and practice eliminating 2 items from the 'outdated' Bill of Rights. They teach that the 2nd Amendment states citizens are allowed to have guns if they have passed a background check and have their guns registered (google images 'common core 2nd amendment'). They are taught how to draw the Shahada using Arabic calligraphy but Christmas trees are not allowed. The Zio media teaches us that we should love every color, race, creed, religion, and not question anything - tolerance is no longer enough. Children have images of transexualism and homosexuality ingrained into their heads more than just normal morality - waiting till your married is totally dead, which yes wasn't really practiced but at least it taught people to not be promiscuous and chose carefully who they are intimate with. You think my generation is bad with their PC, safe space, and white guilt? Just wait till the kids in middle school get to be 20-30 years old. The worst thing is, the Universities in the US are breeding this atmosphere - you have a guy living off mommy and daddy's money, driving a brand new BMW as a high school graduation present, and spending time out of their classroom at Bernie Sanders rallies or BLM terrorists instead of getting a part time job. Then they graduate and blame the 'capitalist pigs' on why they can't find a good job - while they're sleeping at their 'capitalist pig' parents' house still and driving their 'capitalist pigs'' father BMW. We'll see how fast these Commie Bernie Sander's supporters would 'redistrubite' their new BMWs and Mercedes to a poor minority.

The few people that do realize this and protect their children are called bigots, racist, gun-toting crazy right wingers, at worst Neo-Nazis. Soon, it may come to be that Child Services will be taking away children that are taught by their parents old fashion Catholic morals and traditions as it doesn't coincide with liberal, p.c. society - these parents will be deemed 'unfit,' The people that are attempting to hold onto the few freedoms they have are the biggest thorn in the governments side. Once they are disarmed totally, the government can do as they wish knowing no one will put up a fight. Creating a database to determine everyone's political agendas and views, finding out which of the 'threatening' types have weapons, and taking those weapons away is the last obstacle for the government.

There have been very few instances where a 'tyrannical' government was removed from power. Despite much dialogue and negotiations, history shows that people will have it up to a point and then violently revolt.

People are upset and they demonstrate and negotiate for a certain cause, the government will try to silence them if it threatens their interests, the people then get more frustrated that they are being silenced and ramp up their demonstrations and more people come to support them, the government realizes it has a problem and uses police or even military to use rubber bullets against the citizens, the people demonstrate further, trash streets, make barricades and arm themselves with melee weapons against the police, the police then begin to use live rounds, finally a clash between the government and the people takes place and if the people win a revolution occurs with a new government - at worst, a total civil war.

In just the past decade we've seen this in Egypt, Syria, Tunisia, Ukraine, Greece, and all over the Arab world and a toned down version in many European countries too. It will happen in the US and other western countries to a degree like we've seen in Egypt/Greece maybe even Syria once people have had enough. The problem is in the US people are too scared of their government and don't know how to make a revolution like people in the Arab, Asian, and European countries.

News / Poland -- Europe's only counterweight to Russia [271]

Keep Putin in power.

1. Putin has balls - he built up the Russian army and up until sanctions and falling oil prices the Russian economy was doing well. People are still earning far more now in Russia than during the early 2000s - double, nearly triple. A Russian made around 10k Rubles a year in 2006, now a Russian in 2016 makes around 32k Rubles a year. Our politicians in the West DO NOT have balls - except for maybe Clinton maybe because she's just brazen and doesn't care about anyone, will say and do anything she wants even if it means dead bodies and failed states along the way.

2. Russian economy is smaller than China and India but their military is very powerful. India, China, Iran, and dozens of others countries buy Russian weaponry. The economy in Russia is not very good though, it's worth more than Canada but worth less than India's - even much smaller less populated countries like Italy, France, and Germany have a larger economy in terms of dollar GDP value. It is nonetheless one of the G-20 nations and it's economy is worth more than other regional powers like Turkey, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Nigeria, etc. I would say that the combination of having the most land, one of the top providers of military hardware, a G-20 economy, having more nukes than the US does make Russia at the near superpower level. The main thing that Russia is missing from being a true superpower is bases in other countries - which Russia is in the process of establishing.

3. The Western leaders are a bunch of spineless cowards - especially Obama. He is totally indecisive and when he does make a decision it's often one that's the opposite of what his advisors suggested. His 'red line' meant NOTHING when Assad supposedly used chemical weapons - although apparently now there's been a report released by a British firm that they were paid by the FSA who got money from the west to release chemical weapons so as to make the public think it was Assad.. but that's another case... It's a wide known fact amongst government officials that Obama has a 'my way or the highway' attitude. Look at Merkel even - she is a total weakling and she allowed her country to be invaded by foreigners without even trying to put up a fight. The West criticizes nations that build fences or walls and protect their border. They're called cruel, bigoted, islamaphobes, etc. The leaders that do have balls like from Hungary, Slovakia (I believe that's the country that said we don't have any mosques here and don't want to start, and other Eastern European leaders as well as people like Trump, Nigel Farange, or Gaddafi even, any 'strongman' is thought of as racist, authoritarian, Hitler-like, xenophobic when they're just trying to protect their country and its borders. It appears as if anyone that is against UN, EU, NATO, Central Bank, IMF hegenomy is automatically criticized.

Feed the Russian delusions that they are a 'superpower'.

Americans are just as brainwashed and have the same delusion that our economy is doing well and unemployment is low. Just wait till this stock bubble bursts and then lastly the dollar bubble. Every boom and bust is made by design - one section of the economy kept artificially high and prosperous till eventually it goes bust and a new one then rises, then goes bust all just made to shift focus away from the true value of the dollar. In just the past few decades we went from the dot com bubble to the real estate bubble to the commodity bubble to the current stock bubble. The majority of US stocks are way overvalued. People saying Facebook is worth $100 billion?! How?! They don't have anything besides some advertising revenue. There is NOTHING PHYSICAL propping up the dollar aside from the idea that it is the most widely accepted universal currency. There is no gold propping up the dollar like before. Already we're seeing countries creating basket currencies so they don't have to trade with dollars anymore. Russia and China are the leaders in this. Arguably the main reason why Gaddafi was killed is because he wanted to create a currency called the Dinar which would be used by Arab and Africa oil producing countries to sell their oil. This means that the US and Europe would have to first convert their currencies to the dinar in order to buy oil from Arab and African countries. Well, that was no good - oil is too important of a product and Gaddafi had to go.

News / Poland directly threatened by ISIS. Do Islamists planning terrorist attacks in Poland? [390]

Those of us who cared for the Balkan people and donated know those facts

I remember this period very very well as I was in the latter part of grade school when this happened and paid close attention to it. I followed the war every night on the news and on the internet through my old school 56k modem. No one cared about the Serb's who died during the 90's. The fact is, prior to the supposed Srebnica massacre - there were 2,500 local Serbs killed- nothing of this was mentioned in the media. There wasn't much mention of the fact that after the Serbs met with the Americans and agreed to pull out their tanks in Kosovo and only use police officers to patrol the area. Well, the Albanians would constantly provoke the Serbs by killing cops, then the Serbs would go catch the perpetrators and kill them, then they'd kill more cops, then the Serbs would retaliate. Even Madeline Albright said that the Albanians were provoking the Serbs.

There were tons of foreign mujaheddin especially in Bosnia and later a bit in Kosovo. This was the cradle of jihadism in Europe. Later on, many of these fighters would fight in Chechnya and even later in Iraq/Afghanistan. Now, we're seeing them in ISIS and Al-Nursa/Al-Qaeda.Even over the past years, various news outlets would cite how the veterans of the Yugo and Chechnian wars were the most prized fighters ISIS and would be chosen to lead battalions.

These people are a threat to Europe and humanity worldwide - including even Muslims themselves because they view anyone that's not in their own clique as infidels. Even Al-Nursa (an Al-Qaeda affiliate/branch) fights against ISIS and vice versa because they consider each other infidels.

We've gotten to the point where the West is now helping Al-Qaeda. Even now Israle is treating Al-Nusra fighters in its hospitals.
Just think about this and put it into perspective for a moment... injured extremist Sunni terrorists being helped by Israel...

Ask the Americans.

There's over 300 million of us so obviously there's going to be differences of opinion. Americans are totally brainwashed and indoctrinated by ZOG and Zio media.

The USA supports democracy, freedom etc, not dictators,

LOL doesn't support dictators? Of course they do - if they're friends of the US government anyway. The US will support the most brutal, genocidal governments if it helps the US expands it interests. Here's a list: Pinochet, Mobutu Sieko, Noriega (till he started trafficking drugs), King of Saudi Arabia, Saddam Hussein during the Iran-Iraq war, Khmer Rogue against Commie Vietnam for a while, Batista, AND EVEN HITLER FOR A WHILE - Yes, Roosevelt allowed US companies to trade with the Nazis for quite some time. Add all the African dictators that the US has helped out and I'm sure we can make the list of fascist, authoritarian governments that we've helped at least 30-40.

But has he violated it?

YES! Obama violated the constitution... his executive actions on gun control violate the 2nd amendment (he also illegally armed carels in operation fast and furious to help him establish stricter gun control), attacked countries like Libya without congress approval, renewal of the patriot act, circumventing the congress to pass immigration control, drone strikes against americans violates the 5th amendment, falsely claimed that the UN can override US congress, attempted to close down gun stores (operation choke point), government can seize anything according to an executive order made by Obama (total violation of right to property), Four Exec. appointments while the Senate was NOT in recess (Court has ruled unconstitutional yet the appointees still remain), going after states that uphold immigration (10th amendment violation), NSA collecting people's data (4th amendment violation), and many many more.

... and that's on top of all the illegal stuff he's done like using the IRS against the Republicans, violated bankruptcy laws with the Chrysler bailout, constantly circumventing congress to pass his own laws...

Obama acts like a dictator - he totally ignored congress and does whatever he wants to. He does not respect the balance of power whatsoever. He acts like a total dictator - announcing war without congress approval, authorizing drone strikes on US citizens, taking away people's gun and shutting down gun stores, signing executive orders stating that the government can essentially seize anything it wants to if it needs to. He basically acts like laws don't exist!

He ought to be cellmates with Hillary for high treason.

News / Poland -- Europe's only counterweight to Russia [271]

mid-level and lower positions

where most of the decisions are being made and implemented

I'd beg to differ... That'd be like saying the president implements his secretary's decision.... if society worked that way, things would probably be much better... people at the middle and at the bottom don't make the decisions - they're the foot soldiers that carry the big wigs decisions out...

Perhaps the middle and lower people analyze data, draw up documents, make suggestions, but it's usually up to the president, pm, chief justice's, and all the people at the top to make a decision.

Easier said than done. How do you expect to do it with so many Russian spies and agents in all the top positions in Poland?

True. That's what the Czech did which was very smart after the revolution - they kicked all the Commies out and made sure they wouldn't go back into the government for at least 10 years. Poland did not and they remain in government to this day.

Radislav Krstic

Vojislav Seselj acquited on all charges I may add. Finally some non politically motivated justice from the ICTY.

The war in Bosnia and Kosovo is widely regarded as the 'cradle of modern Jihadism' These are the same international terrorist groups that fought in Afghanistan against the Soviets, then Bosnia, then Afghanistan and Iraq again, and now in Syria and Iraq.

News / Poland -- Europe's only counterweight to Russia [271]

Poland is very strong economically, yes that is true. It has a higher GDP than even countries like the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Sweden, etc. which are typically thought of as super rich countries. The people, yes very high GDP per capita and PPP - but as the economy overall - Poland is worth more, then again Poland has 3x-4x+ the residents of Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Sweden, etc. I believe it's in 23rd place now - who knows maybe one day it will be in the G-20.

Militarily, Poland is not that strong. History tells us that Poland cannot rely on NATO or the EU to help in case of a military conflict. No one helped Ukraine either, aside from some non-lethal aid which actually Poland sent quite a bit, because they are all too scared of Russia

The top brass in Poland ought to really consider developing an underground nuclear program or some kind of WMD... just in case... Look at North Korea - they threaten people all the time and have an army with Cold War technology at best, yet no one will invade them even after they shell S. Korean island because they have some crappy nukes.

Looks like Obama is refusing to meet Duda due to his disregard of the Polish constitution... hmm bit hypocritical, don't you guys think so??

I do recall Obama saying that our Constitution is old, outdated, and the founding fathers wrote it with a 'blind spot.'

And George Soros is 85, he won't live forever either.

Thank God.

Duda is visiting Washington now - Obama refuses to meet him according to the media because of the 'constitutional crisis' in the Poland... such hypocrisy

I think they'd have it better in Guantanamo than a Polish prison...

For once a Muslim in modern Europe will have to adopt to the native Christians... this could be the start of something wonderful..

I'm sure the gryspers will be more than happy to cook you a kotlet schabowy in a frying pan in exchange for a cigarette or two ... halal kotlety? I don't think so :D

I could just imagine if you told a Polish guard that you demand halal food - ja ci kurwa dam halal, ty jebany darmojad. If he realized there's no such thing as halal pork, be prepared to get the bottoms of your feet beaten with a stick - won't leave any marks but you won't be able to walk without pain for a week. That was a favorite of the commie cops.

Poland does not need more Muslims - quite frankly, I'm happy that there is a small peaceful community of Tatars around Bialystok and Eastern Poland. I have no issues with them and I consider them to be part of Poland's society. Many of these guys fought against the Russians during the Polish-Bolshevik war and other powers too. They've defended Poland in many wars ever since the Commonwealth. Poland does need a little flavor - but importing terrorism and refugees with a totally different culture that refuse to assimilate and will live off the government and demand that the people adapt to them... no thanks...

Also, that's pretty fact that Albanian's stole people's organs. I think everyone's heard of the 'yellow house' before.

China still does this - they take the organs out of death row inmate and send them to Japan and other wealthy countries.

Islamists get most of their financing from drugs - especially opium and heroin, rich donors, weapon sales, government financing, extortion from locals, etc.

The Albanians run all the heroin and a good portion of the outdoor grade marijuana and hash in Europe as well as brothels, car theft rings, human trafficking, etc. A lot of the Albanian mafias would give funds to the KLA who later became heads of the Kosovo government, including Thaci.

Sorry Crow but really this is nothing new.

Stick to the topic please

Oh boy, just wait till the liberals see you post something about Alex Jones, David Duke, Pamela Gellar, Glen Beck, Brother Nathaniel or any one from that crowd.

I find Alex Jones entertaining, but not the best source of information on many topics. Some of the things that he says are true and he uses good sources, but not always and sometimes his theories are just nuts and lack credible sources.

I'll still take Alex Jones over Al Sharpton anyday though.
