News / Little statistics about immigrants in Poland. Employment and job prospects. [25]

Less people means more resources to go around and that means easier job market and higher wages. Immigrants are not bad

Second generation will turn to be native

but I don't agree with integration and not all the immigrant will agree with it too, just keep that in mind.

History / Ukrainian-occupied Eastern Poland [135]

Yeah, its too strategic for Russia to give it up

Russians offered them East Prussia in the early 1990

Sources?

aren't Catholic

Many are Catholic in Western Ukraine, but I think its a different type

History / Ukrainian-occupied Eastern Poland [135]

Correct the Polish government along with Hungary and Romania received a letter from the Russian Duma to partition Ukraine

Pomerania is a tricky one, you can say its the punishment Germany gets for invading Poland, destroying Warsawa (around 90%!) and countless other cities, stealing Polands national treasures, forced slave labor, more then 3 million polish killed, many also killed by concentration camps (not including Jews), you get the point I could go on forever.

If Poland ever should take it back

Most people/peoples ancestors that came from the Ukraine part of Kresy where killed or relocated to Silesia. The problem is the crazy Neo-Nazis in Ukraine (oddly most prominent in former eastern Poland/Kresy), even the current government of Ukraine admits theirs a problem. Many people fear them and they will do anything to defend their Bandera idiology (They claim Volyn-Galicia is theirs). They simply will make that area too dangerous and stir trouble to prevent Poles from returning. And even though my ancestors lived here, I think its a bad move until their is no more Banderite fascist around.

If it was that easy to get it back, it would have already been done.

Part of me wants to let this go, but another part wants justice for all those people that were massacred, it bothers me that some Ukrainians have the nerve to be waving UPA flags and worship Bandera. No respect.

News / Poland and Kresy being reunited? [162]

Silesia is Polish, because Poles live there. And the Western Ukraine is Ukrainian, because Ukrainians live there. Period.

Interesting to bring up Jews...now lets use this logic and determine if the Jews followed it or not

News / Poland and Kresy being reunited? [162]

Its true that Germany will want western Poland and that is the problem. Lets look at Silesia (where most of my family currently live), Germans say it theirs but Silesia's are Slavic people are they not? Look at the history and you will see they were mostly part of Bohemia, not Germany. It was only part of Germany/Prussia when they took it through a war with Austria that incorporated it from Bohemia, now some can argue that Germanic tribes lived there before the Slavs, well most of them got incorporated into the culture or left with the migration of that period, not to mention that there was no established country in that area yet.

News / Poland and Kresy being reunited? [162]

Now with the Ukrainian crisis their is a possibility. I am of ancestry to this area of Poland and would love to be able to live there. The problem is how to do it without hostile actions against Ukraine, Russia held referendum in Crimea because most people there are Russian, in Ukraine kresy most of these people were forced to leave or killed with most of there belonging being destroyed or robbed. I know this is an old thread but it is the future now and an opportunity is now present. Your thoughts?
