Travel / What's worth seeing in Poznań? [17]

it's a sin not to eat pierogi when you're in poland ,thank you for the suggestion .

If it's not your type of thing Dany, your parents might be interested.

there are ancient tanks and planes that really interest me

the cemeteries

I would like to visit them if they're old and artistic .

the charcoals that looks like disks are good ,but I also use this kind of charcoals (the one in the image ) ,is it similar to "barbecue charcoals " ?

@dominic thank you again :)

You cheer for Poland above others at sporting events

been doing this since my birth :P

You have basic knowledge of Polish culture/tradition/history.

soon .

You like/love Poland.

I do

You identify as Polish.

well I identify myself as having two nationalities ,one of them is polish

You practice the Polish customs

I celebrate polish holidays at my grandma's :P don't know if that counts

Should learn the language.

will learn it soon

If you have Polish family/ancestors

I do

OK Dany but you have to admit that it also has to do with the way you feel about yourself.

exactly .. for me ,the way you feel is the most important thing ..some people don't even know their country's history ,you can't say that they aren't from a certain nationality if they don't know their history or national anthem ...

at least one Polish parent (born in Poland) can ask for Polish citizenship, right? (correct me if I'm wrong)

my grandmother is polish ,she came to syria after marrying my grandpa ,my mom was born in Syria ,she took the polish passport ,and I took it from her ,so no ,you don't need to have a polish parent born in Poland

Life / Going to Poland in a hijab - Polish people and Islam [154]

in my opinion ,i think that not wearing a hijab and wearing modest clothes will attract less attention than wearing a hijab ,but i know how muslim females think of it as a big deal ,so you'll probably get more attention .

History / If Poles were antisemitic, would they ...? [240]

Thanks for asking at all, you are a good guy although you have a problem with Jews

lol ,i'm not anti-jewish if that's what you're referring to ,but i confess that i'm anti-zionist .

Yes, of course, I have nothing against, but you can do it in another thread, OK? As I said, let this thread stay decent.

oh sorry ,i just wanted to see both versions on the same thread ,what i mean is ,that your argument is how jews and jewish heritage are acceptable in poland ,i wanted to see if there's a counterargument with strong evidence like yours .

in the end i hope you're true ,because people who are racist are ignorant and retroactive

"Semitic" is actually a linguistic category.

still ,saying "anti-semitic " to people who hate jews isn't accurate ,also ,the hatred isn't towards the "jewish race" but to judaism as a religion .

Life / Przystanek Jezus to the rescue [47]

@harry

first of all ,music isn't more powerful than media .
and no ,music don't affect people that much ,I listen to hard rock and heavy metal ,it doesn't affect my personality ,I just listen to it because it's good music in my opinion and I enjoy it .

do you expect people who start listen to such music to start worshiping satan ? and start doing drugs ,getting drunk all the time ,being violent !? it's absurd

History / If Poles were antisemitic, would they ...? [240]

So if a Jew feels aggrieved by someone then it is a local matter to be taken up with the parties involved. The world need not hold its breath.

true ,I also heard that it is acceptable to make jokes about every religion except judaism in europe . they are people who suffered in the past (we can't deny that ) but others suffered too ,don't know why they are getting a "special treatment ",being accused as "antisemitic " is a serious charge in europe .

another thing, semitic people are an ethnicity ,judaism is a religion ,i'm semitic (aramean) but i'm not a jew .
