There been so much mixture between Poles, Germans, Ruthianians (Belarussians&Ukrainians), Lithuanians, Russians, God knows what ever that lived in Poland :=) Saying one is 100% Polish blooded Piast then your deeply proud of your non-mixing roots or your trying to hit the top nationalist list

He says that when he hears the national anthem of Germany or Canada, it fails to move him. The only anthem that moves him is the Polish anthem.

THIS is what descides a nationality! Where his/her heart is!!! People should read this 1 thousand times :=)

So, yes.They truly missed Poland with all their hearts and wrote poetry lamenting the loss of their home.

Yeah I wonder about that, my grandfather's father were born in Moscow yet he gained Polish papers after the independance. I guess one had to speak Polish or "volounteer" for it. Or anyone living in the territories of Poland. Even Ukrainians living in Poland got Polish citizenship right?

Language / Rzeczpospolita Polska - translation? [42]

My point is that the term Rzeczpospolita is a very unique word, even in the Polish language and as such it should be cherished even when it's translated to other tongues.

Well people says: Tsar or Tsarist Russia and not Emperor or Imperial Russia (Although ive seen Imperial sometimes) So why not Rzeczpospolita? :=) (I would argue it's hard to write and remember)
