News / What kind of Poland do most Poles want? [101]

High-divorce-rate countries are lands of unhappy youngsters, traumatised, psychosomatised, maladjusted, who do worse in school and are prime candidates for early addictions, sects and a life of failed relationships. And all because a couple of ego-tripping parents placed their own selfish pleasures, interests and convenience over the needs of the kids they brought into the world.

gentleman's religion

Not religion but ethnicity (separate DNA), but this had nothing to do with religion or ehtnicity in the first place but was a play on words. Reckon you don't appreciate American wit.

I recognised

You don
And you didn't see any former PZPR members, SB types, leftstream jorunalists who lost their public-media jobs, former PO activists, retired PRL-trained army officers, etc. You must be suffering from selective vision syndrome. I suggest you see a good Jewish oculist. One has just set up shop at Rondo Wiatraczna. His name is Isaac Zamend.

people want to live

The knee-jerk reaction of many people towards different countries is how much they can earn there. Most countries pay more than Poland so that is a major attraction. Many don't realise the cost of living there is also correpondingly higher. Besides, earnings alone are not the sole measure of a good place to live. Many additional considerations need to be taken into account. Probably you didn't know Poland has fewer OD/drug-related deaths than the US, UK, Germany, Belgium, France, Austria, Sweden, Switzerland, Finland et al. And Poland has a lower divorce rate than France, Belgium, Austria, Canada, the US, Czech Republic, Spain, Germany and others. Family break-up is a highly traumatising experience not only to children but often to one or both spouses.

Some criteria are relative. Poland has fewer cars per capita than the above-mentioned countries, but to envuironmetnalists that is a boon, not a drawback.

ordinary people who are appalled

...appalled, resentful and frustarted at having been sent out to pasture and deprived of the former perks and privileges they enjoyed under the scam-friendly Platformer regime. The freedom and democracy rhetoric are just so much window dressing which sounds better than than people fighting in defence of their shady interests.

Belgium and France and the UK

Those countries have sick societies and following the Muslim invastion will become even sicker -- more crime, religious violence, social problems and creation of no-go ghettos plus huge outlays of taxpayer money just to keep some semblance of order. Poland and neighboring countries will remain a bulwark of European unadulterated culture.

Poland for Poles

Most Poles want a sovereign, patriotic, Catholic Poladn that resepects all nationalities and religions but is 97% ethnically Polish and 95% Catholic. Let the multi-culti experimenters have their fun and suffer the full conseuqneces of their folly. But LET POLAND BE POLAND!. ŻEBY POLSKA BYŁA POLSKĄ!

Mr Kijowski was invited to Washington

...After much string-pulling by shakers and movers of the Michnik kibbutz gang!
Or do you prefer the fairy-tale version: Washington invited some bloke whose name they can't even pronounce on a whim, on the spur of the moment or maybe ran through the phone book: Kędzierski, Kiblowski, Kickowski...ah, let's go with Kijowski...

ighly respected organisation

....But respected only by libby-lefty loons. not by normal, decent people.

News / German government tells journalists how to badmouth Poland [42]

18% regime

The 18% regime has its hand full cleaning up the mess and undoing the legislative duds left behind by the 11% Platfus mob. The voters issued their verdict -- a red card -- last October.

voters issued their verdict last October.

...But the losers lacked the class to graciously accept their defeat and just kept on electioneering, antagonising and destabilising the political stage and this time dragging Poland's internal affairs into the international forum. It's a rerun of 2005 when they went into shock over their double defeat. That's when they first started sabotaging, undermining and badmouthing, resentlful that the voters were wrong.... When they finally made it, they gave people warm tap-water and 8 years of scams and unfulfilled promises. Some people never learn.

Fun summer ahead

Indeed, the New Year's Düsseldorf Show was only a trailer compared to what will go on in warm-weather Deutschland when the scantily clad Fräuleins come out to tkae the sun and display their "wares" in front of leering, salivating, unrestrained young camel jockeys.

AP says

AP says exactly what is bounced back between Michnik's rag, the NYT, CNN and other liberal-leftstream media. They tendentiously highlight rthe position of KOD, Schetyna, Petru and servilistic EU bureaucrats but rarely fully present the government's side of the question. As you know, it takes two to tango. One-sdied disputes do not exist, but reading the Michnik rag and his emulators one might conclude that was indeed possible. Balanced reporting means giving equal time or newsprint to both antagonsits. That is not being done by the "free", "democratic" and allegedly "truth-seraching" liberal-leftstreamers.

One wonders whether you would relish suddenly becoming unemployed? It's easy enough to churn out none-too-witty repartees when it affects someone else, eh?

Kijowski

Anything masterminded or orchestrated by the Michnik kibbutz gets wide play in America because the same kind of people pulls the strings there and are strateigcally planted in key places. Ambassador Schnepf will surely also give him a hero's welcome. Birds of a feather, etc.

infested by spruce bark beetles -

The point is that the bettle plague cannot be allowed to reach the oak stands, a major natural monument at Bisałowieża.
Anyway, anyone who was blind to all the PO era scams has little if any right to criticise a government working to clean up the mess the nepotistic Platformer cronies left behind.

plan to destroy Poland

Just because the Platform regime tried to rob Poland blind, and did a pretty good job of it for 8 years, does not mean that others are only out to destroy, Logging is always paired with woodland management including aforestation and reforestation.

Why were the prte-WW2 governments, PZPR, SLD, AWS, PO and other regimes bent on chopping Białowieża down?

planned felling

Do you realise that felling has taken place since forever under different occupations and governments. In the III RP in the 1990s it was at roughly the same level as in the PRL 1980s -- about 150,000 cubic metres a year. That level was slightly decreased in 2000-2008 to about 125,000 m³ per annuum.

Do you know what the current felling plan is? Without such comparative data it's all dilletantish rabble-rousing. The Guardian has likely also succumbed to the KOD-stoked hysteria. "Poles destroy Europe's last virgin forest" makes a good read. Whether it's true or not -- who cares? The point is to sell papers and for the PiS-baiting opposition to take a another swipe at the government. That's all that really counts, The pretext is secondary, because one can always be found.

You still haven't provided details of the alleged "destruction of Białowieża". Or do you just make preposterous claims unbacked by evidence and then go your merry way hoping no-one will notice.

destruction of Białowieża

Sounds like more KODesque hysteria, but makes great eye-cathing headlines. Exactly how many cubic metres of healthy timber is being cut down for somone's ( adn whose?) personal profit and whence do you derive that data?

The State Forestry Service

And the Forestry Service was thought up and created by PiS, right? They've been doing that for years, but those who should've known better turned a blind eye in scam-friendly PO Poland. They knew who was in power and what side their

bread was buttered on.

Glare-heads have nothing to comb over. Their only resort is the toupé. PF-ers could take up a collection for such a Christmas, er, um, sorry, I mean Hannukah gift.

constitution say

The constitution says the TK and all other organs are obliged to FUNCTION ON THE BASIS OF LAW AND WITHIN THE LIMTIS OF THE LAW. It does not say the TK is free to follow an outdated law that has since been amended.

The binding law mandates 13 judges. Full stop. Is that really so difficult to comprehend?
Polonius3

the constitution takes priority

Precisley, and it is the constitution that mandates that: "ALL (not some, not a few, not selected organs but ALL) ORGANS OF PUBLIC AUTHORITY (and that includes the TK) function on the basis of the law and within the limits of the law", hence the TK violated the constitution itself, which they are obliged to uphold, when they came on deck one-short of the required 13-person quorum.

No, because as Article 195 of the constitution makes clear:

So the independent judges are independent of the law and can independently decide whether one of them or 2 or 7 or 15 constitute a quorum required to adjudicate. That sounds like the kind of free for all the "anything goes" mob like so much.
Polonius3

law should take priority over constitution

Because, to repeat very clearly and slowly: "ALL ORGANS of public authority (and that includes the TK) FUNCTION ON THE BASIS OF THE LAW AND WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE LAW." The constitution, the supreme law of the land, DOES NOT exempt the Tribunal from adhering to the law. Neither does it say a previous law rather than its currrent amended version is binding. The bottom line is that like the PO and PiS, the TK themselves have violated the constituion. All sides are guilty, so a tabula rasa agenda seems the only solution. Wipe evertything away and re-codify the regulations governing the TK or, better yet, scrap it altogether and transfer those powers to the Supreme Court. Alternatively, work to achieve a mutually accetpable compromise within the existing law.
