News / Is it possible that Polish president was assasinated? If so then, by whom? [921]

Oh no...not the sniper on the grassy knol...?

If it was gunshots it may have been Russian military firing warning shots to a news guy straying over the boundry into military ground..

More likely in view of the fire it was oxygen bottles exploding , or possibly aircraft tyres..

When an aircraft burns there are all manner of things that go pop when they get hot enough....

You and most of others on PF here, wildrover included!!! making us Poles suffer much longer ...

I am sure that anyone who knows me on here will know that was never my intention...but if anyone was hurt by anything i said you can be sure i am sorry for that....

If it helps any , i will make no further comment on this matter....but i suspect this thread will continue quite well without me...

In case people are not aware...its very easy to bring down an aircraft , especially when its flying low on approach to an airport , one man with a hand portable missile can do it , not a problem..!

Doing this without leaving any shred of evidence is another matter..it just would not be possible...

This sad and terrible tragedy for Poland is simply a series of human errors made entirely by Polish people....

The Russians had no hand in this....

And what do you suppose Mr Putin is going to do about the Polish people that are part of the investigation into the crash...?

Are they all going to die some mysterious death in a car accident , or be shot by unknown assasins...???

Perhaps they will be simply brainwashed...?

The idea is just too stupid to consider...Russia has nothing to gain from such an act , and so very much to lose....Even if they managed to avoid a war , which they can ill afford to fight , they would be hated by the whole world , and probably by most of their own people , Russia would collapse under the weight of the sanctions against them , nobody would want to deal with them , the country would be doomed....

Russia assasinating the head of a NATO country..makes for a good book...but in the real world , no..its just not a viable idea

I hope you realize what this country has had to go through,

Of course i understand Poland has suffered terribly in the past , and suffered at the hands of the Russians , but to carry on this distrust of the Russians and try to blame them for something that is clearly a Polish mistake does not do anyone any good....

If there is the slightest chance the Russians were involved in this crash i will condem them as loud as anyone else , but there is absolutly no evidence of anything other than a tragic accident caused by human error....

So what about the fog then...? Just a coincidence , or have the Russians found a way to control the weather......

Perhaps they were controling the pilot....?

I am sure there are Poles who would love the KGB to be involved in order to carry on this Poland is terrible , but its not our fault myth , but its simply not true....

The aircraft was trying to land in bad weather and hit the ground its nothing more than that.....

Mistakes were made that brought about this disaster...and i am sorry , but they were all Polish mistakes...

News / Russian air traffic controllers ignored communication protocol of Polish pilots? [194]

Why didn't he keep it horizontal?

I have heard one report ( Russian ) that suggests the aircraft lost part of a wing after hitting the trees , and may even have hit a radar antenna before the trees....

If you lose part of a wing on an aircraft , you will lose some of the lift that this wing provides , and this may account for the aircraft being seen with the left wing dipped towards the ground....

Life / HOW DO I PUT CREDIT ON MY POLISH MOBILE? [20]

I did actually ask the girl in the Zabba shop to put the credit on for me...she pressed some buttons , told me it was ok...and i left...only when i got home and tried to send a text did i discover there was no credit on the phone , so she obviously did it wrong...

Last time i got some credit my friend Magda did it for me , and somehow provoked my mobile into asking for a puk code , which i did not have , so that was that mobile rendered useless...

So now with a new sim card i try again.... It never ceases to amaze me how difficult even the simplest thing can become in a country where you dont speak the language well... Spend some money , a lot of time...and the result....nothing usually....

The only numbers on this reciept are 5555 and 123 telekod...and of course the kod doladowujacy.....i have tried dialing 123 5555 and 5555 123 both result in a voice telling me they cant connect the call....

turn the tap: the rest of your journey is now free of charge.

If you use the breakdown services too many times in a year , you get a letter warning you that you can be refused cover...

I had a couple of unlucky breakdowns with an old Landrover i had , called the AA out four times in one year...they sent me a letter telling me i could lose cover if i called em out again....
