News / An article: NATO is the American occupation of Poland and Europe, by Mateusz Piskorski [233]

Pushing a red button doesn't require any fighting skills.

...but it does require balls.

There is a for sale ad on craiglist: French gun for sale. Never used. Dropped once.

Old but still good. I mean the joke. Gun too.

there is no need for europe for any US deterrent when you have friendly relation with your neighbors.

I wholeheartedly agree. You can start the petition.

Not its a cess pool and even smells like one especially Paris.

They can stink like skunks all they want. My big problem is the dead GI's and the money we spent liberating that dump which is now happily surrendering now to an enemy even worse than Hitler and NAZI's ever were.

In case some heads are ready to explode because I compared NAZI's to Muslims: German troops had the decency to wear uniforms so that we were able to see them and kill them. Others were extracted and by removed.

Muslims in France, like AIDS and stage 4 cancer, are forever or until they kill the host. Try to deport just one because he is a Muslim and you will have UN, EU, ACLU, and that moron pope on you a** by noon tomorrow.

That US politicians still have the nerve to complain after so many Europeans died or have been wounded for them in Afghanistan is very telling.

So the Euros are in Afghanistan to defend the US? I would have never guessed in a million years that Euros love Americans so much.

I thought that the Euros are there for the high principle of protecting the Afghani women and their rights and fight the bad guys who like violating said rights.

Boy, was I wrong.

Travel / Poland - never again [593]

I will say paying to pee came as a shock to me the first time I went to Poland.

Now imagine a kid with no money.

This is how disgusting things can be in Poland. I got off as Gdank-Oliwa. It's a decent size station and I have to go really bad. No restroom. I am not kidding. No f***** restroom. I don't mean that I have to pay. Oh, no, that would not be a problem. That station has no restroom. Period.

I noticed a 50-something guy standing close. So I walked up and asked "gdzie tu jest ubikacja? (where is the restroom here?). His answer: cienko czy grubo? (number 1 or number ?). Before I would get into such fine details, he offered this gem of advice: If it is number 1, you can do it behind these bushes over there. In Polish, of course.

To say that at this point I was desperate would be understatemnt. Where is the nearest restaurant? It's down the street toward the cathedral.

This is when I made him an offer I prayed he would not refuse: Take me there and I will buy you lunch. In ten minutes we were walking into Classic Restaurant. Our server spoke perfect American English. This is from their website: Zapraszamy Was do najbardziej amerykańskiej restauracji w Gdańsku. (We are inviting you to the most American restaurant in Gdansk). Felt good to be home if only for an hour.

US exports to the EU are 290 billion.

I am old but not stupid. Nice sleight of hand, though.

You see, you conveniently forgot the reverse flow. We call it imports.

FYI, the US trade deficit with Europe was 150 billion in 2016. Let me explain what this means.

It means that if Europe just blew up and disappeared, we would keep said 150 billions here. No, we don't need Europe to trade with or for anything else. So far, Europe has been a pita to the US of biblical proportions.

Further, the rule is that every one billion of trade deficit equals 20,000 jobs sent abroad or staying home. Now, if you divide 150 billion bucks that went to Europe and never came back by 20,000 bucks per job that went with it...

Well, you can do the math. BTW, please don't forget to add 5 service jobs for every manufacturing job kept.

There is a reason why some call me "professor".

Germany does not owe the U.S. a dime.

Than the US should say good bye, up, and go home because, it seems, Germany couldn't care less and is doing us a favor. Do they charge the US rent? I wouldn't be surprised.

What pisses me off big time is that we call these lopsided silly arrangments as "mutual defense treaties". Mutual my a**.

Yeah, Germany or Japan are going to come to the defense of the United States. Sure. At best, they would express their support by email.

2% spending would turn the Germans into the largest military force on the continent. Nobody in Europe wants that...

There is a US Treasury office (we call it IRS) near me where I just delivered a check for 40 billion bucks. They took it gladly and even said thank you. Germany can do the same. Would you like the address?

I have to admit that you were funny: Germany acting responsibly by being a cheap weasel, happily riding my back.

Is flooding Europe with Muslims nobody wants also acting responsibly?

Waste of poles money imo.. we already exceed the 2% gdp requirement which very few nato partners do

NATO partners? Give the US more such "partners" and US will go bankrupt a lot sooner. Just look at that joke, Germany, and their 1.2% contribution vs the US 3.5%.

My question is: why is US paying anything? All of those weasels in Europe are just theatrical props with all the heavy hitting left for us. The US should be PAID to protect their Euro butts.

Man, do I love being an ugly American.

Travel / Poland - never again [593]

My trips to Poland confirmed again that foreign trips are not fun at all without being able to meet local people. I can spend only so much time talking to myself. Hence, during my first trip, I made every effort to engage anyone I could to find out how Poland is half a century later. At 76, my parents are both gone, and so are many of my classmates. According to the Polish tables, I passed away three years ago.

When I was refused the graduation list at Liceum 37, I was left with no choice but to take the initiative and approach strangers. To my great relief, it was a lot easier than I expected. As I strongly believe in creating my own events, I went to the two schools I mentioned before to amuse their students and myself for a couple of hours. Those of you who flat out didn't believe me never tried it or you just don't know me. Shyness is not in my DNA.

I went to the church in Radom where I received my first communion. The mass was in progress and a woman with a devine voice was singing. She was so good, I asked a priest where she was and how I can see her. They called her so when she came out, she walked up to me and shook my hand. She was in a hurry so we met again at 9 in the evening for a cup of tea. I walked her home when we were finished. I was hoping to see her again on my second trip but I didn't make to Radom.

I invited a student I met at Politechnika to dinner after he gave me a tour of the department where I graduated. He told me how much engineers make and about job prospects. No, I wasn't planning to restart my career. I was just curious and I liked seeing how fluent in English he was. No, we never spoke Polish.

My low point happened in Jedlnia-Letnisko. The owner of the Hotel pod Rozami, Ryszard, invited me to dinner that included tartar, smoked fish and his own home made booze. As I said earlier I don't drink. Drinking that stuff turned out to be a very big mistake. I didn't throw up. I tripped and fell down when I walked into my room hitting a night stand with my head. Things went dark and stayed that way until 6 a.m. With my face all bloody and my left eye purple, I would be not be able to recognize myself in a police lineup. I was stupid to drink too much and the message was clear.

I also went to see Instytut Electrotechniki w Miedzylesiu where I worked after graduation. It was Saturday so it was closed except where the guard was. We spoke for exactly an hour after my usual opening: so how is life here? I found out that they will be closing the place as a relic from the past.

Now, why the hell did I write all of that. Two reasons: because I can and to show you that most people are in the center of the curve. I am an outlier. I do things most people don't because they are too timid, lazy, or afraid of being rejected. I am not any of that so I am not surprised to be greeted her with "you are a liar".

The contrast between Poland on my first trip and what I saw here is astounding. Those I approached there, including the teachers who never met me and who risked that the gray guy who just walked in may say something wrong, had a reason not to trust me. That is why, to put them at ease, in each case, I asked them to watch me from the back of the class and alert me immediately if the subject was not acceptable. They never did because I am not stupid.

E.U. has no problem criticizing America

When Bush 2 was president, we had a visitor from Germany. With my usual sensitivity, I decided to troll a little during lunch so I asked him what he thinks about Bush. He smiled, and told us, the Americans in America, that Bush is terrible, a cowboy and a bully.

The poor ******* didn't know what was coming: So you wouldn't mind if we just packed up and brought home our boys now in Germany?

You should have seen his face and the smiles on the faces on my American co-workers.

He doubled down with: I would be very much against that. Why? Because it would be bad for our employment.

Those are direct quotes. This German pos just told us that the US Army is in Germany to help these mf-rs stay employed.

I served him an easy volley. He had so many ways to answer. Yet, he chose to be just one more arrogant Euro *******.

Foreign travel used to be romantic. At least in the movies and on the ocean-going ships. Today, it's a living hell to be stuck for ten hours on that bloody plane fearing a blood clot.

When you arrive, the novelty of not understanding the locals wears off in less that 20 minutes. After that, the hell continues.

My brother lives in France. He invited me to visit. So I projected forward and realized that I would be, you guessed it, without insurance and the ability to communicate without him. So I declined. That was a while back.

Today, with all that scum the fished out, I would be insane to even think about it. The pleasure of meeting him at some airport would be short. The rest of it - long.

No. Thanks.

As a special favor, let me explain why "troll" does not apply to me.

You see, troll is a person who makes deliberately offensive or provocative online posts with the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting an angry response from them. That was straight from the Internet.

I just shared my impressions from the trip. Everything I wrote was true or, to you, likely to be true. So the problem is not with me but with those who would feel upset and angry. If that made you upset and angry, you need help. I am sure that by now there are special meds for the victims of the inernet trolls. Like for PTSD.

Did you notice that every other person has PTSD lately? Too many snowflakes?

How many times have I posted here that Poles do not know how to laugh at themselves.

One of the most endearing American traits is just that - to know when to be serious and when not.

Closely related - or is it the same? - is the unmatched American ability to self-deprecate. Like in: It's so simple, even I understand.

And admit fault. I learned very quickly the benefits of saying to the boss: I f***** up. But I know how to fix it.

No, we, Americans, are not expected to commit harakiri when we screw up.

God bless this country.

Go and convince does who give a damn. Obviously it is very important to you to be believed.

It is not imprortant at all. However, I freely admit I like screwing with my enemies, like the idiots here who without any proof declared that I was lying and that I was not Polish. Like in: a Pole ripping into Poland. No f***** way.

Let me remind you that this "you are not Polish" was started immediately after my first post because it was - on my God - critical of Poland. An unpardonable sin! Where is the wood and the kerocene.

If you guys had any brains, your reaction to my promise not to ever visit Poland again would be: Please, don't. We will be grateful.

And that would be the end of it. Instead, the Polish geniuses proclaimed me not being Polish because a Pole does not dare say bad things about Poland.

I guess that in their minds - I cringe while writing this word - criticizing anything Polish is blasphemy. Well, UB felt the same about those who would criticize communism. Not much has changed since.

Not until you say: based on your Post #242, you are more likely than not to be a Polish guy who lived in Poland.

So, spit it out.

Alas, a normal person who lived in Poland would have had no problem with stringing few sentences in Polish just to shut those who do not believe him up.

With my Post 242, I did a lot better than "stringing few sentences in Polish". Any moron, even you, can use the google translator.

Knowing that, I offered this instead:

Dom Towarowy na Alejach Jerozolimskich
plaszcz ortalionowy na Chmielnej za 1800 zlotych
sklepy za zoltymi firankami
Radio Wolna Europa i zagluszarki

Now, how the hell would I know these phrases? Try to explain that without resorting to some mental gymnastics.

I don't care what and who you are....you're clearly here to troll and you enjoy yourself.

I wish everybody would be so open minded.

I am not sure if it's trolling but I do confess to have finely tuned bullshit detectors and a passionate dislike for the people who mostly emote rather than make every reasonable effort to be dispassionate and logical. That is why I sincerely believe that women should not be allowed to vote. They should be forced to be barefoot and stay in the kitchen. I also enjoy yanking chains.

Intensely, I dislike Polish language. I really do. Any nation that would voluntarily invent masochisms like chrzaszcz brzmi w trzcinie is doomed and should be put on some serious meds. Actually, that was reason number 3 why I ran and immediately banned Polish from my household.

Regarding my Post 242. This is getting to be funny. That post delivers a proof of me actually being Polish and living in Poland. It is so simple and compelling, that any judge in a criminal trial would let it into evidence.

Here? Not a single comment from anyone who, up to that post, observed me like a lab rat that claims to be able to do algebra.

So, this morning it hit me and that's why I am up so early: You guys have no clue what these terms mean because you are not Polish or you are too young and, therefore, naturally ignorant.

Just for fun, where was Warszawa Glowna in 1960? I know because I was there so many times. Do you?

He is not Rich Mazur,

What a dumb argument. Are you Ironside?

Hey, genius, now read this part slowly. Some idiot here wrote that I am not Polish, overlooking the fact that I owe you guys s*** in a way of proof.

But, being a nice guy that I am, just for fun, I posted this in #242 above:

Dom Towarowy na Alejach Jerozolimskich
plaszcz ortalionowy na Chmielnej za 1800 zlotych
sklepy za zoltymi firankami
Radio Wolna Europa i zagluszarki

A normal person would try to find this stuff on the Internet. Finding nothing, that person might actually conclude that I may have, in fact, lived in Poland and let it go.

Polish blockheads I am dealing with here would not. Not now. Not ever. Because it is in the nature of Polish people never ever to admit being wrong.

and imposing it on other people who have different opinion to yours is a bit pathetic.

You just confirmed what I so intensely dislike about the Poles: your ability to find what was never said.

I have never tried to impose anything on anybody regarding Poland and the Poles.

Did you get it or do you want me write that sentence again in bold type. Just in case:

I have never tried to impose anything on anybody regarding Poland and the Poles.

God, this is more effort than I expected.

USA, Canada / Would you live in California, USA? [240]

If you disagree with this, then you question the American economic system.

I do. The US government, if it wasn't as corrupt or stupid as it is, would allow the greedy bastards to take their factories to China and make them pay all the costs of supporting the unemployed they so conveniently left behind. The US model: profits are private, losses and liabilities up the taxpayers' rear end. Some system.

You see, every system should be tested at its extremes. If ten factories moving to China is OK, then what if all of them move to China? What do we do with the unemployed? Who is going to pay for it? Who is going to buy the imports if nobody is working?

Aren't you impressed with my explanation?

I am glad the NK has nukes. It was a very smart move on their part to get them as nukes prevent wars.

The 40,000 US soldiers who died in Korea wouldn't if NK had nukes then.

USA, Canada / Would you live in California, USA? [240]

California is not the only state where social problems abound. It's the whole country.

Nice try but no cigar.

Other states don't like social problems. California creates them and is proud. That, my dear friend, is a sign of a major mental disorder.

BTW, did you know that liberalism is a birth defect?

Just google "california 5th largest economy on the planet" and pick one from over 5 million hits...

Before you pop that cork to let the fizz out, consider all of California and the US to include what they borrowed.

If you add all the debt - national, state, corporate, and private - and divide it by 80 million US households, the result will be 350,000 bucks per. For a household to be flat broke, it would have to show 350,000 bucks in assets just to be at an even zero.

Also, GDP numbers, just like the unemployment numbers, are fake. When Califiornia spends 20 billion dollares on the illegal scum (schools, hospitals, prisons, etc) they most likely add it to their GSP. The 20 billion they don't have, of course so it has to be borrowed or stolen from the taxpayers.

By that logic I can live like a billionaire for a month if some bank were stupid enough to loan me a billion or two.

I like the Bulgarian model. They pay citizens to round up illegal border crossings.

Rouding up is not a solution. They need to be deported asap after being stripped to underwear and branded or shot. Storing them in prisons is too expensive and the scum supply is too close to infinity. Predictably, the US model is the most insane one of them all: catch, release, and pray they will show up in a couple of years to see a judge. Yeah, what a great deterrent.

Actually Asians have a higher average iq than whites...

I didn't say anything about IQ. Very high IQ does not progress. These are the people that put two socks on of different color.

Asians may have high IQ and be hard workers. Their contribition to the world's culture, medical procedures, music, literature, etc. pales in comparison to the same delivered by the whites and Jews. They are mainly thieves of our intelectually properties. There are 350,000 Chinese strudents-spies in the US to study and steal. How many US students study high tech in China that was originally develeoped there.

China's growth is funded by the US that stupidly allowed its manufacturing base to be shipped there by the greedy and long-term stupid Americans. Without the US and equally stupid Euros, China would starve to death. I hope Nixon rots in his grave.

I'd give them 24 hours before they ran to the American Embassy begging for 'my rights as an American citizen'.

Since you mentioned the American Embassy, I will chime in.

Before I left in 1966, the US Embassy was an open, friendly, and a pleasant place to visit. I would go there often to read, ask questions, and daydream that I am in the States, if only for a moment. The door was always open and that most beautiful flag ever designed was proudly flying above the building.

Fast forward to 2017. The flag is gone and so is the friendly door. Instead, there is a door that is as shut as the door to a public bathroom in a Palatine park in winter. So, I pressed the button. Nothing. Press again. Nothing. WTF? The US closed its embassy in Warsaw?

No, they didn't. Eventually, a suit cracks the door just enough to show his face which said "what?" Frankly, in all that excitement, I didn't notice if it was "what" or "co chcesz". Same thing, though. Can I come in? What do you want?

At this point I recalled that at no time I would be treated anywhere like this before. My pulse rate went up a bit and I moved my nose to six inches from his. Can. I. Come. In.?

The door opens wide enough for me to enter. I have a question about lost passport. What is the problem? Are you going to answer my questions? No, it will be somebody else. Then I want to talk to that person. He dials up some internal number while my heart is ready to jump out of my chest from the excitement that I will soon be hearing that American English I started longing for. Nope. Another Polak with bad accent.

To my credit, I would not allow any of them to use Polish on me. After all, it was they who were in a foreign country that moment, not me.

I'm sure you're missing the days of the Klan and white supremacy when the ne*groes and women knew their place, right?

Wrong. I am not missing what I never saw or touched.

There is no such thing as the days of white supremacy. Whites have been, are now, and will be a superior race.

You are not by any chance going to suggest that whites and blacks have made equal contribution to what is known as progress, are you?

Claiming that races are not equally smart is intelectually honest and can be proven. If you are planning to give me a lesson how whites exploited blacks in Africa, please don't even try. The day when the first white racist set foot in Africa, whites had universities while blacks just figured out how to stick a bone through the nose.

Same with the Indians here. They couldn't even invent a wheel with all these round objects around rolling downhill. Just curious: how many of them were actually hurt by a rolling tree or a watermelon?

Law / PESEL number, passport, and ID in Poland [16]

I started the process last summer. Like a total idiot I stated that I was married. This act of honesty alone added three months to that snake.

As it turns out, to get a passport I need pesel. OK so far. To get a pesel I need to register my marriage in Poland. Why? Because pesel is different if you are married.

At the Polish Consulate in Chicago I was told that to start the process of registering my marriage I need to bing a notarized copy of the US certificate. A week and 15 bucks later I was back, proud and happy, ready to fill out the relevant forms and part with another 85 bucks.

Where is your wife? Do I need to have my wife here? Yes.

This is when I drew a very red line and threw a fit: My wife has nothing to do with me getting my passport renewed. In the US, my marital status and my passport are separate, stand alone issues. And, as it happens, my wife hates my guts and told me to get lost when I told her to come along.

The above are direct quotes. So I filled out the form and signed for my absent wife. They quickly removed the wife's forged signature and accepted the form. I won.

A week or so ago, I got an email from the consulate that my Polish marriage certificate is ready for pick up. They can stick where the sun does not easily reach. I will not even bother. Predictably, these plastic Polish robots evidently forgot that we have what is officially know here as USPS which gladly and promptly could for 50 cents deliver that certificate to me and save me the trip to Lake Shore Drive and back and the parking fee.

Never again.

You don't like anything about Poland- end of story.

You are lying. I wrote that outside of Venezuela and Colombia, Poland has the highest number of beautiful women per square mile.

No, I didn't like Poland then and I don't like it now. The fact I was born there is irrelevant.

I spent some time in a camp in Hamburg, too, after the Warsaw Uprising. Do I have to like it?
