History / Have Poles blood on their hands? :) [496]

What I mean is that a big number of defenceless women and children were killed by people of Polish ethnicity solely because of their nationality. We could argue about the circumstances but the fact still stands.

Fascinating. There are basically two (If there were more, we would be reminded about them again and agian, don't worry about that) such cases: Jedwabne - the real wunderwaffe of "Poles are antisemties" crowd and Kielce - a smaller one but no less exploited. Jedwabne - there are completely no hard evidences of what happened there, I don't believe that It was completelly made up but the "official" version is so illogicial, It is offending for human intellect that It was commonly accepted to be true. Kielce - we now when and who was killed but still It is wierd, expecially that local authorities were involved and later the commie government was blaming anti-Soviet circles... The rest is just "many Poles were antisemitic", "many Poles participated in the Holocaust", "many Jews were murdered by their Polish neighours" stuff, which is as valid as "many Poles are being mudered in racially motivated attacks in the UK".

History / Have Poles blood on their hands? :) [496]

But to suggest, based on a situation in pre-WW1 Prussia, that Jews in central and eastern poland really didn't lose legitimate property in the holocaust is a ridiculous argument. I wouldn't have expected a comment like that from you.

Fascinating. How did they lose legitimate property "in the holocaust" ?

But after reading what he wrote, what's the most horrible thing is not that people moved into his house (let's assume they thought the owners were dead), but that jews returning to their town were murdered by their former neighbors. And it's known that this happened in quite a few places.

Oy ! Not only damn bastards were robbing poor, innocent and always victimized Jews, damn nazis were also killing them ! Obviously add to that "many", "often" etc. Holocaust industry at its finest.

this is what human beings are capable of when they find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time.

It would also have helped a bit If the chosen hadn't massively collaborated with NKVD. And maybe If they have trained some matrial arts... so maybe 1600 ugly antisemites wouldn't have been able to murder 1600 always innocent chosens without any loses on the ugly antisemtic side. Oy !

Work / Will it be easy to find a job within 6-10 months of moving to Poland? [41]

Will it be easy to find a job within 6-10 months of moving to Poland?

No.

1. Financial crisis. Poland wasn't hit hard by It compared to most other European countries, few comapnies are reducing employment but even fewer are hiring new people, the labor market is in stagnation and that probably won't change earlier than in a year.

2. Comapnies here are not used to employ foreigners. Unless you are really fluent in Polish, in case of vast majority of jobs you've got no chance to get them. A few hundred thousand Poles get a degree every year, so you won't impress anyone here with a master degree unless It is from some very famous university.

3. If you don't have a citizenship of any EU country, the employer would have to deal with a lot of paper work to get a permission to hire a non EU citizen and obviously they won't do that unless there is some special reason they need that person.

But on the other hand you've got some very rare skills like Serbian language or knowledge about the local market there... so in my opinion you should rather concentrate on that and search for jobs where these skills could be usefull, there must be very few of them but on the other hand also very few people who could do them. You could check Polish companies, which are investing/trading with Serbia (probably not many of them but there must be some...) and contact them... At worst you may try to find a job as a teacher of Serbian (rather not much of demand but also not much of supply) and do that for a year or two before you learn the language well enough. Generally you've got very little chance to get a normal job, so look for something uniqe, which require skills/knowledge you have.

News / Freezing weather in Poland, 42 people dead in winter freeze... and no-one cares? [140]

Wrong G, nobody choses to sleep on the streets or to become an alcoholic.

There are homeless people even in the richest countries, where one can meet both ends doing some easy part time job and even If despite that becomes homeless then there are countless shelters, programms etc. and many still live on the street... because that is their choice. Some people don't want to get up early every morning and work hard to pay their bills, they find It easier to do nothing and sh*t in their pants.

You are welcome to visit my offices in Poznan anytime..

Lol !

I will keep stressing that the chronically homeless, as you would call them, really are the minority amongst all the people who are basically condemned to sleeping outside. Why is this so hard for you to simply acknowledge?

Where are they minority ?

News / Freezing weather in Poland, 42 people dead in winter freeze... and no-one cares? [140]

after all, its my wealth

I doubt you have any... and paying taxes is not a matter of your good will...

you heartless moron, I hope this fate comes your way.

It won't, dear heartful moron...

so many homeless people must stay on the streets even if they don't want to. It's a shame that there is not enough places even for those who are not very drunk and behave well.

That's simply not true.

News / Freezing weather in Poland, 42 people dead in winter freeze... and no-one cares? [140]

Dead simply because they had nowhere to go.

Nonsense. They didn't want to go to the shelters for homeless because they can't drink there.

its ok to let them die if they are an alcoholic..

What do you want to do with them ? Lock them every winter ? In vast majority of cases these people choose their way of life, It is their life. They want to live like sh*t, so don't expect us to cry over them.

USA, Canada / REFUSED A HOLIDAY VISA TO THE U.S CAUSE IM POLISH [323]

as the percentage of people from that country who overstay their visa.

The base It on the % of visa refusals, so Poles are pften refused a visa because many Poles in the past were refused a visa... no kidding, But these are Yanks, what one could expect...

USA, Canada / REFUSED A HOLIDAY VISA TO THE U.S CAUSE IM POLISH [323]

You do it constantly to Ukranians and others.

Nonsense. Ukrainans and Belorussian hadn't needed the visas to visit Poland before we joined EU. EU forced us to change that, anyway we managed to push up easier procedures for them in Brussels, so they can much easier get a Polish visa than German or British ones.

Life / Winter in Poland? [160]

And now my friends are telling me just wait till January and February when it gets really cold…. REALLY COLD!!!!!!!!!! -25 can be the average…….

They talk you crap. Normal temparture in Poland in the winter is around 0. There are sometimes waves of cold like this one but all together they shouldn't last for more than 2-3 weeks.

News / The "Arbeit Macht Frei" sign theft from Oswiecim, Poland [240]

What would someone do with it and why would they want it?

Sell for big cash...

From Haaretz:

Information and Diaspora Minister Yuli Edelstein (Likud) said in response that "this is one the Polish police's biggest failures," adding that" anti-Semitic events in the world are multiplying, and there is a valid fear for the safety of the Jews in the Diaspora."

Well... one could wonder If that wasn't a provocation to fuel up "antisemitism is on the rise" stuff...

Work / Why is Polish workmanship so bad? [52]

And everywhere has had plug sockets coming off the wall, badly fitted bathrooms (with indeed silicone all over the place), bare electrical wires, scary gas installation, light fittings not attached flush with the ceiling etc.

Well, I could write you a long post but I won't do that. I will ask you a question. So what is the reason in your opinion ?

Work / An IT System Engineer interested in moving to Poland [11]

I do not believe its that simple.

Financial crisis... Poland wasn't hit hard but most of companies don't hire many new people, so It's hard to get a job right now... and there are many good IT people in Poland, so one has to be very well qualified to get a good job in IT here. About the language... in most of companies in Poland they won't even look at you If you aren't fluent in Polish but in international comapnies like Intel, HP etc. that shouldn't be a big issue as the working language usually is English anyway.

Work / Why is Polish workmanship so bad? [52]

The other week a plumber came round to stop the shower leaking and just slapped silicone all over the place in a really untidy manner and didn't even fix the problem,

Yawn... Do you foreign gays realize that It doesn't often happen to Poles ? If that plumber did that in my flat, I would kick him out without giving a grosz. Don't be a nerd and things like that won't happen anymore.

Work / Job prospects in Gdynia / Trojmiasto ? [5]

but I was wondering what other job prospects there might be for us.

For you... If you improve your writing skills in Polish then I think pretty much the same as in the USA but your husband will rather have serious problems to find anything else than teaching English.

News / Crucifixes to stay in Polish schools [364]

Be in for a f*cking huge surprise, then.

Yeah, let's all thank MG as he and his daddy are financing the mankind and are just getting ready to defeat the cancer, ADIS and the swine flue with their bare hands. You crush me 10 thousand times.

Let's see how they would make it without the EU.

We would be developing just like we did before the Eunuch Union thingy, there's absolutely no improvement in the economical developement in Poland after we joined the whole damn thing.

You're a reactionairy homophobe

A reactionairy ! Holy s*it, I should be sent to the Euro re-education camp, when they will show me the light of wisdom and open my medieval mind, so I finally realize that for a kid having two daddies is a damn spelnding idea and the mile stone in the progress of civilization. Give kids to the fags, ban the crosses, import a few million 3rd worlders and finally we will be allowed to proudly call ourselves really Europeans. Ja wohl !

You know what ? I and vast majority of Poles here spit on you and your nonsense and all you can do about It is wet your little homo panties and screem oy vey.

News / Crucifixes to stay in Polish schools [364]

Prayers before the start of class.

Personally I've never seen anything like that in Poland, If It happens anywhere It means that parents of the kids accepted that and definately no one is forced to pray If he/she doesn't want to do that. You simply have no clue about situation in Poland thinking that this is some Catholic Taliban where people are dreaming to become "progressive" homo-commies but Catholic dictatorship force them to pray under treat of death penalty by crucification.

As long as the EU finances a lot of things in PL from my (and other's) taxmoney, the opinion of those taxpayers does matter.

I would be very surprised If your family contributed more to the EU budget than mine, so spare me that pathetic financial patronisation. On the state level - you may hear about some huge amount of money Poland is getting from EU but in reality If you compare the funds we actually get with money we pay into the common budget, exclude nonsense like gender equality trainings, include salaries of additional public workers needed to distribute that money... that's really pennies we get net, I wouldn't mind If we were getting nothing from EU, so your desperate attempt to make It look like "your taxmoney" is saving us from starvation is as pathetic as the rest of your input into this thread.

Anyway EU even with Lisbon Treaty has nothing really to say about crosses in Polish schools, so both on individual and on national level your sick stuff about forcing us to do anything is nothing else than wet dreams of a homo-commie. Besides now It is our Union too, we have the speaker of a Euro Parliament thingy, many other positions and generally much more to say than your little homo country.

The more incredible it is that ppl still believe in an institution that's abusing their children.

People (unlike homo-commies) understand that there must be some sh*t among thousands of priests/monks/nuns. According to your foolish logic people should have no trust in education, police, army, courts or any other institution as there are pedophiles, thieves and other crap found in their ranks every year.

News / Crucifixes to stay in Polish schools [364]

...And I'm still waiting for the first scandals of priests abusing kids within the Catholic church.

Where ? In Poland ? There are a few such cases each year.

I'm sure if a thing like that would happen in PL, support for the Catholic church would drop significantly.

Oy !

Public schools are public schools, they should never impose one view on the children, or they should have (like I mentioned in the other thread about this topic) symbols of all religions present in a country or nothing at all.

Public schools in Poland don't impose any religion on anyone, they will have symbols accepted by parents of kids attending them and what some Dutch guy (gay?) think about It means nothing at all.

And why the hell the government should decide what one may wear over his own head ? Anyway It has nothing to do with Poland. The Euro court of human rights (!) crap will be simply ignored, so much for wild joyful screems of lefties.
