Theyre not giving out money for free. Its an investment, not a donation. Germans have made plenty of money off poland even as early as the 90s when the so called mariott brigades started showing up. To this day a ton of banks, media outlets, factories, etc. are owned bt germans. Now Israelis are getting into real estate and development in pl like crazy. Yes, EU taxpayers fund these projects, however many EU taxpayers being employed by German/French/Swedish/Portuguese/Spanish/etc companies on projects in Poland. I'm not complaining Crow, although I'd prefer great cooperation amongst all Slavic nations, it is what it is... If that's the way you want to read it.... I see the recent cancellation of benefits to Greek families with more than 3 kids, taxes remaining high, pensions remaining low, and new restrictions on unions as not only a continuation of austerity, but new things now added on in 2018.


Not to Poland. The migrants that come to Poland come from Ukraine, Belarus, India, etc. and they come to work and study - contribute to society. We welcome such people as they are a net benefit to the country. The migrants that are in Greece, Italy, etc are middle east/African (a lot of Albanians too in Greece looking for a better country to mooch off of) and the vast majority doesn't want to go to Poland because they'll have to work or they'll starve. Poland gives something like 80-100 eu in benefits a month and for a limited time. That isn't attractive to migrants when they can go right next door to Germany or just north of us to Sweden where they can get free housing, food, and even coupons with which they can purchase a several thousand euro 65" television. No BS - migrants were showing off the 'coupons' that the government gave them and walked out of an electronic store with a brand new tv courtesy of Swedish taxpayers.

Greece is in such a hole right now that it will take several generations before the country gets back to where it was in 2007-2008

Dumbass - Hussein died 9 years ago. The migrant crisis started in 2015 and although yes was in part caused by wars but Saddam's death has little to do with the overall crisis. Estimates range from 3%-10% of the migrants are legit Syrian/Iraqi refugees. Most of the people aren't coming from Iraq and Syria - they're coming from literally everywhere mainly Middle East and Africa.Poland didn't intervene in Africa, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Albania, Kosovo, Niger, Nigeria, Ghana, Eritrea, Sudan, etc. yet there's people from all those countries in addition to those from Afghanistan and Iraq which PL did intervene in. Putin recently stationed5 iskander missle systems in kaliningrad. If nato and russia go to war, a serious war not the proxy volunteer war in ukraine, poland will be obliterated. Russians will roll though the baltics without a problem but theyd likely get stopped in poland or atlwast face a huge counterattack in pl before they could get into germany. Probably a week or two. Krakow is the best place to visit for a first time visitor. Warsaw is the capital but in terms of architecture and sightseeing there's way more in Krakow. Wroclaw is nice too - that's where I'm from.

Weather is decent in April-May. There's a lot to do in just about any season. Even during the winter months the ryneks are pretty lively. June/July/August has more tourists and is warmer but May is a good time to go. April may still be a little cold but comfortable to walk around outdoors.

The vast majority of Poles are fighting on the side of Kiev. Personally, if I was in Ukraine I wouldn't want the country to join EU either so I can understand why the people in the east are resisting. Not that Russia is much better but at least they're not trying to destroy Christian Slav-dom. Ukraine is so foolish to think that the EU and IMF are going to somehow get them out of this crisis and fix their economy. They're just there to pick the bones dry and install their own corrupt bureaucracy to replace the current one.

It won't really matter as far as salary. It will help you get a job and be a more attractive candidate but it's not like they'll give you an extra $1k a month because you're a native speaker that's also fluent in Polish. You could have a PhD and teach at the best uni in Katowice and you'll still receive a salary that's at best average by Polish standards. Teachers simply don't get paid much in Poland. It's not like Germany or even Kazakhstan where native English teachers can make $80k a year with only 10% income tax taken out if they land at one of the elite schools that politicians, business people, etc. send their kids to.

Since you have experience, focus on private British and American schools. These tend to have the best salaries and since you already have experience, are a native speaker, speak Polish, and have certification you'll be able to land a job at one of these schools. The pay is going to be way better than some local public school.

As far as when to come, idk how hiring goes in the middle of a semester. I'd imagine though like most schools they'd fill positions a few months before the start of a semester though.
