News / 10,000 ISRAELIS READY TO CLAIM FOR POLISH CITIZENSHIP AND POLISH LAND! [628]

Ok so maybe sth about our current Israel-Poland realtions. They are rather positive.

goliath.ecnext.com/coms2/summary_0199-1273905_ITM

Poland and Israel sign $350m deal to buy 2,700 state-of-the-art Israeli anti-tank Spike missiles. To be delivered between 2004 and 2013, they will be produced under licence from the state-owned Israeli Rafael arms corporation by Mesko, a Polish company.

300 000 of Israel citizens speak Polish.

and maybe we moan about Jsrael-Palestine but last time our realtions are friendly and in some cases Israel had Polish support in EU ...

kaliszer

I think we can discusse about the past but maybe it would be good business for both of our nations to do business (I m not tallking about Palestine :P) but all in all when 300 000 of your citizens speaks Polish and your first president was form Poland ... so maybe it is good base for better trade agreements and cooperatrion. as your safety you have nuclear wepons so some land for Palestinians wouldnt be serious thread for your country.

Do I say to kill them ?

Ok so maybe live your own life and be good human and Christian ;)

I think neither me and you is not going to change mind but in case of Ukrainians it seems taht we will have so many things to do togheter that maybe you should be quiet.

Poles occupied their land

it wasn't occupation ... Kozaks wanted just biger salaries ... and Ukrainian peasants were easy to use they just promised them more freedom (sic!) Polish peasants were the same naive and sometimes were supporting people who promised them something. As to me we should forget about bad past in case of Ukriana because two sides have done something wrong and Ukrainians are our alies so maybe we should rather discusse more positive events in our past.

For Ukrainians he is a hero and that's not surprising. Poles occupied their land and Jews were seen as a tool of Poles.

oh yes G and his love to Ukrainians ... Chmielnicki was native Pole ... and Ukrainian hero so it isnt' so easy case Ukrainians against Poles ... and Jews yes Ukrainian peasants have seen them sa tool of nobel Poles (the same as Polish) and had taken opportunity to kill them.

Poles have been worrying about Jews returning and taking back their plundered homes ever since the end of the Holocaust, when they murdered returning survivors. Maybe this sensitivity is the result of a guilty conscience.

it would be never happen if Poland had been free ...

as to me there is one noticable fact rich Poles and rich Jews were in the same horrible situation under the commie regime ... we should notice that poor Jews were making great carer in commie regime the same as poor Poles ... it isnt so easy case. Situation changed ... durring WWII there was confrontanion between German and our races ... durring commie time between rich and poor ... there were thousends of rich Poles killed because of some decissions made in moscov ...

and the fact is that you will participate in reprivatization the same as Poles who were robbed by commies...

just read what I posted before

I have heard that our new gov is going to do reprivatisation ...

what means Polish people expeled form East in 45 will get some money for their properies there ...

this 10 000 Jews will get some money for properties they left after WWII (maybe szmata will get sth and will be nicer)

Polish people who have lost their properties because commie regime (enforced by Russia) decided that they are enemy of system or whatever ... are going to get some money ... (my family was confiscated three times because they were potenial thread ... )

money will come from privatisation of national companies ...

(of course we are not discussing about Germans )

as to citizenship ... why not ? ... if their ansestors were Polish citizens ( as well as I know they get it in the same way as other people whose ansestors were Polish citizens so simply nothing is going to change in this case)

What I want to add, and what is important it is because our economy is stronger and we are able to do it for our citiznens ...

History / Poles and Russians -- love-hate relationship? [209]

I dont think that Poles hate Russians, We have more problems on state level (mentioned here), but when we look on people relationships it looks much better.

Work / Salary expectations in Poland [373]

as to your question

if you have some expirience you will earn 1000 Euro ... or you will be waiter in popular restaurant or lauborer on construction ...

if you dont have any expireience it will be hard to get 1000Euro for work in office

UK, Ireland / Polish immigration in UK [491]

Henestly I wouldn't be happy If a million of foreigners came to Poland but UK had already millions of immigrants

I dont know If you noticed that there is 0,5 mln of Ukrainians (working mostly illegaly) in Poland and they havent been born here ... For me it isnt problem they are here to make money and some of them are looking for better place to live ... just like some of Poles in UK ...

USA, Canada / What do Polish people think of the USA [287]

I dont care. ;)

What is important, Kaczysnki is crazy but inteligent and he was PM of Poland not USA. Bush is an idiot and he is leader of the strongest country all over the world ... his neo-conservatist advisors ehhh, just change them. It is a good friendly advice.

USA, Canada / What do Polish people think of the USA [287]

I was thinking about USA ...

and I think that you have Bush we have Kaczysnki (one of them is still our president) ...

Both of them harmed reputation of our countries, and I think that we should wait for your (USA) elections, and I hope you will choose sb like Kenedy, and we will start different discussion.

I feel good, just because my point of view on PL-USA relationship sticks to reality, and last elections shows that most of Poles stick to reality too.

History / Norman Davies - the Brit who loves Poland and becomes one of Us [250]

What is problem in differences between points of view of Poland and our neighbours.

We were under occupation and it was realy hard to show our history in way we see it, lat time it changes, but the fact is that better known is Russian or German point of view.

Examples

Poles charging tanks using sobers

Polish dead camps (totaly extrem)

our intervention in Russia in XVII century (the fact is that Russian nobels asked for the same laws as Poles and Lithuenias had and it was only one event in Russian history when they had a chance for less authorative system ... )
