Life / Poles against gay marriages. Really? [120]

I don`t care how we call it, because we are talking about facts, not words.

No pawian, the naming is very important. Distorting a true meaning of words and ideas is a powerful tool of manipulation over a whole society.

If you control the language, you control the argument
If you control the argument, you control information
If you control information, you control history
If you control history, you control the past
He who controls the past controls the future."

Life / Poles against gay marriages. Really? [120]

marriage is between man and women

True. The main goal of marriage is procreation. So we can discuss acceptance [or lack of thereof] of homosexual relationships and their legal status in Poland and not a support for homosexual marriages.

News / Ultra nationalist protest at death camp in Poland - serious mistake? [146]

Yes. If any country has come to terms with the Holocaust, it's Germany

Since Germans were the perpetrators of the Holocaust it was their duty.

And they also had a little help from the Allies on one side and from the USSR on the other side in case they would not have enough moral strength to do so.

Even a jobless refugee pays the same income tax whenever he goes into a german market and buys something as a rich German

Haha, look Rich, Germans have invented an economical perpetuum mobile: a jobless refugee gets an allowance from German taxpayers money and then he spends it in the market paying consumer tax so the money comes back to treasury. Modern German economy :-D

If I was drinking a coffee while reading this it would come out of my nose :-D

Rybak is a dude no one heard about before all foreigners great and small focused on him bringing effigy of a Jew

Yes, it's a typical media bait.

Amazing to see people defending neo-nazis who were causing an ugly scene at the gates of Auschwitz on Holaocaust Memorial Day.

So you've raised the stakes already from nationalists to neo-nazis?

By the end of the day I expect we'll be discussing millions of Hitler-spawns with burning torches in their claws with blood-thirsty eyes singing "Horst-Wessel-Lied"! [in Polish of course] in front of that camp.

A lie repeated 1000 times becomes the truth. 999 posts to go, Jon. You're doing just fine, Goebbels would be proud :-)

Nope...it's the same flaw of every nationalism everywhere to all times

Only in your totalitarian mind @BratwurstBoy.

You're trying to project your own German obsessions on the others. Guess what? We're not buying it and we don't want it for free either.

PS: I bet that the state of Germany, given the right political circumstances, could do anything to you and with you. They could shape you in any form that would fit them with minimal protest from your side. Just like what they did with pre-war German society. That's the difference between us that you're unable to understand.

You called yourself a "radical nationalist", didn't you...

I called myself a Polish nationalist and 'radical' was part of a wordplay on pawian's post. So don't play naive.

Yet you can call me radical in a way since I don't care about nor bend to any methods of "shaming" or "moral disciplining" be it from European leftist 'elites' or from Israel.

I don't see why as a Pole I wouldn't be able to describe myself as Polish nationalist when it fits my political beliefs only just because the term "national socialist" was made a filthy word in Germany and by Germans.

It's your problem not mine.

Polish nationalism is based on Christian Personalism and it respects individualism. It's a complete opposite of German national socialism, which I despise.

And this philosophy, Christian Personalism, is represented by National Movement (RN) political party which I support.

No matter how much you try @BratwurstBoy, you won't be able to build a symmetry between real state-run German war crimes and a political happening of a few guys outside of a German death camp.

German white-washing propaganda apparatus which is working on that subject since the late 60's couldn't do it, so do you think that one Ossi with an average intellect can make it happen on PolishForums? :-)

News / Poland blocks any action on climate change [569]

Jan Kochanowski, a great Polish poet has penetrated this truth as early as in XVI century in his epigrams :-)

"Ziemię pomierzył i głębokie morze,

Wie, jako wstają i zachodzą zorze;

Wiatrom rozumie, praktykuje komu,

A sam nie widzi, że ma kurwę w domu."

You mean the overwhelming majority of scientists.

Remember that in 1972 an international conference of UN bureaucrats, economists and scientists produced such a [bugger] document as "The Limits of Growth" where they've tried to predict the future of the Earth up to year 2072 e.g.

"population, food production, industrialization, pollution, and consumption of nonrenewable natural resources".

No credible scientist would take that paper seriously by the early 90's. And as of 2019 it became just a laughing stock.

Oh but I know the answer to that one on a german forum!

"should we kill them again" clearly implies that your question is aimed directly to Germans.

As far as I know only you and @Tacitus are the only active German members of PF.

Surely you can ask him this question in private message instead of making your poor provocations on public forums.

News / Polish Independence Day March in Warsaw. Is it going to be the biggest march yet? [1530]

I thought you were about Polish interests, not about selling out to China

Every single country in the world trades with China.

That doesn't mean that everyone supports Chinese politics to the letter or "selling out" to China :-)

International trade is the way of making Poland more wealthy. And wealth offers more economical and political influence and military power. And it's also politically convenient to have some alternative to trade with the EU. This offers more economical independence and better negotiating position at the EU table.

Only a totalitarian mind can't differentiate between being a trade partner and being a political ally. The state of mind of so called liberal left is appealing.

Start thinking outside of the [very narrow] box.

News / Ultra nationalist protest at death camp in Poland - serious mistake? [146]

So is to me, but I prefer to call it patriotism.

Patriotism stands for love of your country [your land]. Nationalism stands for love of your nation. I prefer to use a term "nationalist" since there's a taboo surrounding it and I would like to disarm it.

Nobody is blackmailing me here. I feel the protest was a disgrace

To be more precise you were alerted by the media who grabbed your attention and pointed you to this event using emotional trigger.

Meanwhile, in Germany in 2018 there were countless small and bigger neo-nazi marches that you weren't informed nor aware of.

"Radical" means you are ready to use extreme (even brutal) methods in order to convince people to your ideas.

No, pawian. What I mean is that I'm a Polish nationalist and to me Poland and Polish national interest is the most important one.

As a Pole I'm not going to be fooled by either a modern German white-washing propaganda nor Israeli monopoly for suffering. We don't have to take **** from any of them. We didn't build those camps nor run them. And our grandfathers have fought with those who erected them. And if you're still not convinced then check ethnic Polish casualties during WWII.

Don't get distracted by irrelevant events and small provocations or those usual press releases. Just segregate important facts from irrelevant media information noise. And don't become a victim of this moral blackmail and moral disciplining because we are not the one who have to be ashamed of it.

TSI - insignificant

Three Sea Initiative is very significant and the serious players knows that.

That's why it was attended by Trump in 2017 and also by German foreign minister [accompanied by Junker] in 2018

And that's also why China is so interested in developing 16+1 format.

PS: Before you provide us with one of your predictable answers go on and check what 16+1 format is first. It wouldn't be fair to make you look like a fool again without teaching you something first :-)

News / Poland blocks any action on climate change [569]

Ah, the war on climate change. Such a never ending source of taxpayer's money :-)

It used to be called "global warming" but some dodgers got into conclusion that it's not totally foolproof.

What would happen if the climate started to cool down instead of just warming up?

So they've changed it to "climate change".

And now it's perfect. They can fight with climate [change] and it doesn't matter whether it's getting hotter or colder in general.

Business as usual. Some real smart ass have invented this scheme.

Thank you kindly @BratwurstBoy. We've all been waiting to hear a fresh, impartial German voice on this subject :-P

But I believe that mental manuals to operate those death camps were taken back to Germany and it won't run without them.

Po polsku / POWRÓT do Polski - od czego zacząć? [22]

@Ziemowit
Pieniadze to sa narzedzia. Bez narzedzi trudno cos skonstruowac samymi golymi rekami.
Wiec trzeba te pieniadze zarobic. A z pracy na etacie ciagle jeszcze wiecej mozna zarobic i zaoszczedzic w Europie Zachodniej i USA niz w Polsce.

Dlatego tez obecnie sam pracuje i oszczedzam kapital bedac w UK.

Glad we finally agree on something.

What do you mean finally? So far we've agreed on many subjects disputed on PolishForums. To be honest we had more agreements than disagreements.

banner-waving freaks

See, that's the definition of what left-side would call a "hate speech".

Those who actually check facts, and aren't just online bods.

Here's a piece from a "reputable" media. They've made a 'neo-nazis' out of Independence March celebrators in Warsaw:

Let's cool down emotions and put things into wider perspective.

Some of the international press will write poorly about Poland because of the "wrong" political choices we've made a few years ago. So let's stop whipping ourselves over every single article produced by an international - how jon357 amusingly put it in one of his posts - "reputable press" ;-)

they tarnish the image of all Poles which is unfair because most of us aren`t radical nationalists

That depends what you do mean by "radical nationalists".

I consider myself to be a Polish Nationalist. And since I don't take a half-assed approach to anything I do in life you can call me a radical :-)

Piotr Rybak has nothing to do and neither he represents National Movement [Ruch Narodowy], which is the biggest such organization, nor he was a member of ONR or MW. And those are the biggest organizations with regional structures.

He is a private persona and that was his private point of view.

but one can't play the moral relativism card this time

One can't play a moral relativism at any time. The truth is not in the eye of the beholder, just like 2+2 can't equal 5 on some occasions when it suits the needs of some group of people.

Hopefully they will deal with those attending the 'protest' according to the law.

If he broke the law then he should be punished just like anyone else would. There's nothing more that I would like to see in Poland than people being held accountable for their actions and punished accordingly by the law.

If Poland prefers again to stay asude, putting their chips with some Brits or USians instead...it will not be a smart decision, again!

One of the indicators on whom Poland can count on are Anakonda NATO military maneuvers in Poland.
Each year the most troops training alongside Poles are from the US and the UK and even Spain with a very minimal engagement of German army.

Not a smart decision? It would be not smart to side with Germany which has historically often started some **** and then would loose at the end of the day.

When will you realise than Germany is just a convenient trade partner to Poland and not much more than that?

European Defense Force?

That's a German wet dream that will never come to fruition. "European army" without Britain and under Franco-German control, heh. Creating an army that would be steered from Berlin but pose as na "European army". Go on and look for fools that will support it.

In Poland every political option support NATO first and foremost. And one of the reasons is that Americans are keeping their bases in Germany to keep you civilised :-)

Yeah, and which of those could be counted on to defend Poland against Russia?

My bet would be that Angela Merkel would cover us with her milk-white breast like a real Mutti she is, since bundeswehr is in a such a state of decay that it wouldn't even stop Belarus at this moment.

Or even better idea: why won't Germany cancel the North Stream II project and stop feeding imperial ambitions of Russia against the interest of Central Europe and Baltic States?

Also, NATO and not the EU is a military pact intended to protect its members against rogue states.

All PiS has achieved is to once again isolate Poland

International visits since PiS has formed a government:

President of China - 2016
British Royal family - 2017
President of the US - 2017
Prime minister of the UK - 2017
Herr Kanzlerin, Mutti of Germany, Angela Merkel - few times since then, including one to meet a leader of PiS in person
Prime minister of Italy - 2019

Also since then a new Three Seas Initiative was started in 2016 by the presidents of Croatia and Poland which connects most Central and Southern European countries.

Poor "isolated" Poland

Life / Left-wing agitators in Poland [49]

how dare they hundreds of Germans come over the border at the weekends in German cars to stock up on pork shoulder

That's now a part of the folklor I guess. Let them enjoy Polish pork. I don't mind as long as they don't stock up on king of meats: the beef. You are what you eat they say :-P

I find them on a par with Southern Europeans in terms of being loud and animated.

That only says how much you know about Poles, my bald man obsessed friend :-P

According to new opinion polls
88.8% of Poles think that the EU serves mainly German and French interests.
76.6% is against taking any migrants from different cultures than European.
74.9% is against transforming the EU is some kind of European superstate.
73.4% thinks that the EU limits the sovereignty of Poland.

Polexit may be not as improbable as many people think it is. All we need is another migrant crisis and pressure on Poland to take in "refugees"

History / A History of Gdansk, Poland [130]

It seems they remember better what he did...

Everything they've said about Kohl could be said tenfold about Margaret Thatcher or John Paul II. Those statements need to be put in a wider context.

Even me, if I tried hard, could say something good about Polish-German relations, like economical exchange perhaps.

That doesn't change the fact that throughout history they were terrible and that Poland had much better relations with many other countries. Put things in a wider perspective.
