call1n,you are right that I did ask you that question,I'll give you that.You could simply say that you don't like them;the rest you don't have to share.You know how it goes,there are good and bad in all races.

TheLox,Thank you,it's just my demeanor and I refuse to let people rent space in my head.I don't agree with call1n in,but he is entitled to his opinion and I always have to remember that.So call1n;What will you do if America apologizes?Will that be enough,or will it take more?

They all changed their names back then,because of racism.Anti Semitism was strong back then,or do you not know American History?Your grandparents came over in the early 1900's;so of course they would have dealt with racism as did immigrants coming from anywhere did back then.

call1n,What years are you talking about?My Grandparents did as well.This was quite along time ago.This is why actors changed their names back then,Anti Semitism was strong back then as well.It hasn't been like this in a long time.

Ironside,I agree that we the U.S. should grant Poles the same access as any one else and I'm not sure what the reasoning is,but the situation is not as call1n would have you believe,or when I grew up,I would have been messed with being of Polish descent;never happened.The time when that type of sentiment towards eastern Europeans was normal,has long since past.

Ironside,my argument is that the U.S. no longer has this racist policy it had in "29" against the Poles.8,574 became permanent residents in 20009.Between 2000 - 20009 a total of roughly 117,000 people immigrated to the U.S..That's more than 10,000 a year.I don't know the total of Polish expats living in the U.S.,but I'm sure it's substantial.

Ironside,I mean that there are a lot of Polish immigrants and Americans of Polish descent living in the U.S..If call1n was correct in what he has been saying,then chances are;that I wouldn't be living in the states either,as I am of Polish descent.There are more than 10 million Poles living in the U.S.Not an insignificant number.

Jon37,What are Kebabs?In the U.S. they consist of chunks of meat and vegetables.Usually onions,peppers and tomatoes)on a skewer.Is this the same.I'm only asking because I seem to remember someone explaining them differently..

pgtx,the difference I guess is that Stalin wasn't trying to eliminate a whole race of people.So in that he might not be considered in the same class as Hitler,but I'm pretty sure that Stalin is responsible for more deaths overall.

4eigner,the thing that is often overlooked is that Stalin was responsible for the deaths of more Jews than Hitler.He just didn't do it the same way and wasn't trying to eliminate them from the planet.
