Food / Coffee Syrup - like 1883 and Torani? [11]

Since you're very selective---why not experiment and make your own. Here's a recepie I found:Coffee syrup is a very easy syrup to make. It only includes three ingredients:

1 cup of ground coffee
1 cup of sugar
3 cups of water
It only takes minutes and is very tasty.

1) Boil both the sugar and water together for about five minutes.
2) Next, pour the mixture over the ground coffee.
3) Let this stand until it cools, and then strain.
4) Last, refrigerate in a sealed container.
Your coffee syrup is ready when it becomes somewhat thick.

Travel / Dinner place suggestion in Krakow [17]

here's one with an Italian theme-Amarone restaurant-Pod Roza Hotel, Ulica Florianska, 14, Krakow, 31-021, Krakow
Donal says:
“ The main entrance to this restaurant is in a little side street off the Ulica Florianska but you can also enter through the Hotel Pod Roza, of which it is part. The food is Italian and extremely well done and the restaurant itself is comfortable, light and airy. Highly recommended. ” Looks like he knows what he's talking about.

Travel / Dinner place suggestion in Krakow [17]

Here is a review about a restaurant called Scandale Royal----" We spent an evening few days ago and the food was delicious!! starter, main course, and dessert... we were enchanted! After a dinner we sat down by the bar to order a drink, we decided to try something new and asked a bartender what he recommends. How surprised we were, when he started to ask what we like and then he made a drink that was exactly as we wanted!!!!! I would recommed this place to all! " Looks like a place that may be worth a try.

Travel / Mushroom picking in spring in Poland? [35]

The best Polish mushrooms for me are the "Prawdziwki"---They give lots of favour to any soup or dish being cooked.

News / Is it possible that Polish president was assasinated? If so then, by whom? [921]

Actually Joe---I think you're going to find that after checking the audio tapes of the cockpit recorder that Kaczynski---like he's done before---over-ruled the pilot and after 4 tries to land ,he told the pilot to go for it because he was going to be late for the ceremonies. No murder-no terrorism---the plane wasn't even on course and if he landed ,it would have been on grass and not the tarmac.he was way off course from the runway.

Travel / Nice restaurants in Warsaw [30]

You'll have to try the Belvedere on ul.Agrykoli 1-- I only found it by accident when I was walking around Lazienki park. I popped in for cake and coffee and was totally impressed.

The food was very good and reasonbly priced. What makes this the Belvedere stand out is the service and decor. It the most beatiful restaurant I have ever eaten in!

The elegant interiors reflect the spirit of our times and the display of lights with the great music only add to the experience.Worth a try !!!
