Life / Why are Polish people so obsessed with race? [160]
I don't think Polish people are obssesed with race. They just like to look at people who differ from them. They like originality, they seem to think that from other country means more exciting, interesting, compelling, astonishing. Why? Because many of Polisfhpeople do respect different nationalities and we treat the same way we wanted they treated us.
It is not strange for me at all.
I'd rather say that foreigners who come here have to fight with stereotypes they have about poeple from my country and, when they talk to real us they have to change their opinion.
For many of them it is funny.
My friend who was born in Australia used to laugh on all bus when some Polish people where looking at him and his friend from RPA, who is black. When he was describing the situation he was laughing like crazy.

Enemies?
I don't know Irish people. My friend from high school spent two one or two years in Ireland and she said Irish people have a lot in common with Polish. I don't know exactly what did she want to say, I guess that we have similar sense of humour.

"Dolina Śmierci" is a symbol of martyrology. Sad, abondonned and very depressing place. Some people were trying to pay tribute to victims of September 1939 who were murdered there in many ways.

It's interesting what foreigners notice in Poland.
I saw some funny and disgusting scenes during studying at a sport camp. Yes, it happens. To drunk or a very tired students.
I really don't remember many people who do it in public places. Even if I see something like it I go on the second side of the street or I just don't pay any attention.

Yes, why not?
Fish covered with salt and pepper, some onion, sprinkled with lemon, other seasoning, not too healthy French fries and a lot of ketchup or garlic sauce (if a guest wished) that make the meal more spicy.
It's just one example.
Fish can be prepared in many ways. An imagination and experience of a cook has the biggest meaning.
