I would stick to the original plan and go to Torun. I'd hate to be the one who persuaded you to come here when your thoughts are elsewhere.
But for others following the thread. Wroclaw's main railway station is a twenty minute walk from the centre/Rynek.
Most objects of interest are within sight of each other or only minutes apart. Wroclaw is a two/three day city at most.

check the opening hours. for a few attractions the tourist season does not include february.
the best of wroclaw can be seen in one day. however, wandering around without knowing what you are looking at will prove to be a waste of a day.
tourist websites are not always the best place to find information. check a few photo websites like flickr. one can also find tourist/city info on facebook.
