How about the ones I posted for you in post

He don't care. He's too busy swallowing the party line, hook and sinker. He's all about giving PiS every possible chance to ruin everything they possibly can in the name of..... he doesn't care because he'll never live in Poland again?

News / Berlin terrorist attack -- Poland's ethnic homogeneity a true blessing [436]

don't post Breitbart links

I care about truth, not whether the source is pleasing to people. If people cannot find factual inaccuracies in the source then I want to know about them, but if a person rejects information just because of the source isn't ideologically pure enought then they are demented and not worth debating

Those parts of the world with the highest birthrates are the future.

Not if they reproduce beyond the carrying capacity, the massive population explosion in the middle east is a major source of problems there (including being a non-trival contributor to the Syrian war).

People are not interchangeable widgits and most people taken from places with bad education systems where (secular) education is not respected will never be anything but dependent welfare pets for self righteous liberals in Europe.

If you want European culture to continue you don't overwhelm the local population who despise its very foundations.

Don't know if I'd call this prosperity and I can't think of a single good reason why Poland would wnat to get invovled in this rolling clusterfvck

If the rest of the world were prospering there wouldn't be a migrant crisis...

Most of the migrants making their way to Europe are doomed to be wards of the state as are their children. How is this a recipe for prospering?

History / Aurochs, the primitive prehistoric cattle of Europe, had lived in Poland? [48]

he main reason they became extinct is probably because they didn't fear humans and, unlike the European bison, were not aggressive, so they were very easy to hunt.

I lurve aurochs and am happy about plans to revive them from extinction. To be sure, we'll all probably regret it once they start trampling Polish cities underneath their mighty hooves, but we've all gotta go sometime and perishing in an auroch stampede is not the worst way...

f you left this discussion to those of us who aren't utterly clueless about education

If he left the discussion to people who _have_ some education then he (and jr) wouldn't comment at all....

Szyszko is in charge of the institution running projects worth billions annually. If he wanted to steal any money,

I think it's part venal greed (motivating about 64 % of all PiS projects) and part of it is ideological. He's an instrumentalist that sees any kind of nature as only having economic value. He's against the very idea of forests that aren't producing income (and tourist income doesn't count).

have troublesome neighbours. These people have four kids, and shout and fight regularly

I had some like that (not as awful as your example, but bad enough) fortunately the owner of the apartment was convinced to stop renting to them...

Will you be so kind and describe to me a typical EE outfit?

When (what decade) were you in Poland last? The 500 plus underclass is growing and dresses much like the female (?!) in the link of an early post here.

Their names and clothing are not British, FWIW.

A tiny bit of searching indicated that the British press still hasn't really come to terms with Polish naming.

They two are listed as Winiarski in the first article with a mis-spelling of Kazimierz.

Ineta is a Polish name (though pretty rare) and I found an Ineta Winiarska living in London with Kazimierz Winiarska(!)

My best guess is they were underclass in Poland and made it to the UK where they continue there 'marginesowe' lifestyle if they work(ed) it would probably be either off the books or just the minimum until they qualified for welfare.

It could be they use both Winiarski and Winiarska (which would be treated as similar be distinct names in English speaking countries) for different purposes. I remember an article from about 12 years ago on Polish people in the UK setting up accounts (phone, cable) under one name and never paying their bills, when the service is cut off they just change names (or slightly respell their names in ways that most in the UK wouldn't undersand - Anna, Asia, Ania Kazimierz -Kazik etc).

The whole concept that Szyszko wants to destroy Białowieża to sell some wood... well,

it's the simplest and most elegant explanation for what's going on...

News / Polish couple brutally attacked by the Danish police. [46]

The average Dane showed himself a brave and selfless citizen during WWII

Irrelevant now. Get with the current century and stop thinking it's eternally 1938 in Europe. That attitude does not help. It hinders.

In fact the Belowieza FOREST has been used by people quite extensively in the 16th century.

So you're infavor of clearcutting the whole thing and turning it into a tree farm. noted.

a letter against logging from the heads of the Polish Academy of Sciences - Poland's top scientific experts (non-political), many of whom study in the forest:

Ironside don't give a rat's a$$ about what happens to some trees.

Will you listen to these scientists? Or will you listen to Szyszko

He's made his choice. He's swallowing the PiS party line, even repeating party slogans (like 'total opposition) like a good party loyalist.

Let's say that the Wawel castle is going to collapse - .... That's the choice here

No, the choice is those who would say "let's do what we can to save it and preserve it in its traditional form vs PiS scamsters who say "it's useless to try to do maintenance, let's just dismantale it and sell all those bricks"

What Szyszko is doing is _only_ about lining his and his cronies' pockets.

Remember, he doesn't even think it's a special forest, it's just trees to turn into lumber to go into his bank account(s).

Ineta Winiarski

Not a cultural Pole with that name (though at least her father's ancestory is from Polish). She looks (and apparently acts) like a homegrown chavesse (chavette seems a bit young).

What I've observed is that he appears to have little to no understanding of boundaries and personal space, which could hint at several things

Sidewalk analysis based just on that suggests a neurological disorder (other spectrum like behavior?) or severe abuse at home.... poor kid.

PiS must think that people are really stupid

The polls would tend to suggest that they are right. As long as they get their 500 a month they dont' care what happens to some trees.... 500 a month and a compliant client class of voters is created.

people from different countries that are so concerned about Polish forest long after they striped their own landscapes bare.

That just makes białowieża more valuable as somehting that other countries don't have.

Take away the trees and you take away the Bison and other animal and plant species.

Bourgeois animals! Class enemies of the brave proletarian tree cutters!

Białowieża is one of the last remaining parts of primeval forest left,

Szyszko claims it's not primeval at all but has always been managed.....

Besides unless you're an expert in forestry you have no clue

More experts seem to be saying that Szyszko is wrong than right - he doesn't even believe that it's virgin forest so I have my doubts about him...

Not to mention the 'forester's daughter' business which looked extremely crooked...

Interesting article here on how the forest is already changed beyond recognition....

wiadomosci.onet.pl/kraj/co-naprawde-piszczy-w-puszczy/c9n5vwk

Instead of tourist trails there are now muddy ruts from heavy equipment. Instead of birds singing in the forest the whine of machines is heard, instead of deer, it's easier to see the orange coveralls of treecutters. Are these actions really for the good of the forest?

They're wrecking the forest because that's all PiS knows how to do, wreck things, Pride of Poland, rule of law, separation of powers, education, białowieża... I'm not gonna buy any of the "I had no idea!" crap from their supporters when it becomes clear to more people.

I used to go into a milk bar in Gorzow which has sadly now gone

I've mostly used them when traveling. There were a couple very good ones that I like that are longer around....

Travel / Milk Bars in Warsaw's Old Town [18]

I'd prefer not to get a stomach bug, food poisoning, or be attacked or harassed for money by a group of drunken bums.

None of those things has ever happened to me at a milk bar in Poland.

One of the best in Warsaw is Bambino (entrance on Krucza street close to Hoża). There is often a long line out the door (and ordering in English might be difficult). Use a dictionary ahead of time so you can try in Polish or give them a piece of paper with your order written on it (nb prices might have changed)

what exactly is matura? I

A kind of multi-day multi-subject final exam. You need to have passed it to go to university. Similar to le Bac in France or Arbitur in Germany. No equivalent in the US.

Australia / Newborn girl -ska or -ski ? AUSTRALIA [12]

the wife of Nowak would be "NowakOWA", however if Nowakowa were to be unmarried, it would be "NowakOWNA", with the final "o" having a hook on top

Officially these are no longer used, ime they're used mostly ironically or insultingly (I've only heard very old people use them unironically).

In modern Polish the difference is syntactic rather than morphological so that female last names ending in a consonant don't decline.

Widziałeś Nowaka? (Nowak is a man)

Widziałeś Nowak? (Nowak is a woman)

....with the result that the Polish people will be the ones who suffer....what a tragedy...

Hey, as we keep being reminded, PiS enjoys very solid support among people willing to turn a blind eye to their less savory activities.

I'm upset because I don't support them and also might end up suffering so I'm just saving up a bunch of 'I frickin' told you SOBs' when it hits the fan.

PiS is all about Plunder and Scams - they've destroyed Pride of Poland (a high profile international brand) by favoring cronyism over competence.

They're destroying a priceless natural wonder for a few zloties to line thier pockets with.

They're destroying Poland's international reputation as prideful beggars - spitting in other countries' eyes and demanding money for it.

How much does the soul of a country cost? In Poland it's 500 zl a month....

Law / Which Poland's visa I can apply - national visa D or Schengen visa? [27]

That's four names in total, making it easier to distinguish people apart than the myriad of John Smiths or Andrzej Nowaks

On the ground in those countries, maybe, but it doesn't translate into western two name contexts. I've definitely heard of people getting on security lists because of their names being the same (or very similar).

Another factor is the stagnant, unimaginative nature of muslim naming culture, which creates many people with the same or very similar names confused by different transcription systems. It's easy for completely innocent people with the same name as dangerous people to get flagged out as dangerous.

A problem is that it's very difficult to prove you're not that dangerous terrorist Mehdi Ahmadi but a separate person.
