Real Estate / Buying a flat in Krakow; prices are still falling? [200]

I was told by an agent

oh yea they will tell you the truth lol. The property bubble prices are just gone beyond the saturation point.

Its seems the general view at the moment is that average prices are more or
less stable

There is no such thing as a stable bubble.

UK, Ireland / Are the working class in the UK now shunned in the 'new' Poland? [53]

So tell how is it that I watch loads of tv series about young Brits being in depts because they cant just live without their exclusive clothes, exclusive bar and exlusive drinks... and still they are able to get out of great debts within 6-7 years if they just change their lifestyles. In Poland no one is afford to carry such reckless life so dont bs me about similar cost of life levels...

Very well said, its crazy when people so consistently fail to see this.

don't make it sound like we're all spoiled brats who have done it to themselves completely.

But it is true to a degree, i am sick over here in Ireland listening to people driving brand new 4wd Jeeps and going on holidays twice a year and claiming that they have no money,or people on the Dole with 6 children living on a gigantic social welfare and still crying that they are on the bread-line and that the Poles are robbing the country blind. They do not know(or seem to have forgotten) what it means to be broke or to be badly off. With the (Ireland)country practically bankrupt they will soon(very soon)

see what it means to live like a lot of other countrys in europe especially Poland.
The governments need to unerstand how-ever that "they" have a duty to rule their countries(and not the indusrialist) and not just to play games of swapping cheap-labour as it is only a short term solution and it will only lead to REAL chaos in the near future.

Real Estate / The current property boom in Poland is a bubble [342]

Brendan Burgess, Founder, Ask About Money was on on RTE Pat Kenny Show 14th July
This guy(hypocrite) was on the radio on wed advising people on how to handle their major money problems in such hard times. He has just wrote a book(how to handle your money kind of thing lol) and people were ringing in, mainly all those people in the sh1t because they bought property during the bubble and now they cant pay and have not paid in months ets etc..

At the end of the show this "Guru" got a text from a viewer accusing him of encouraging the property bubble by closing down the debate on property prices on the askaboutmoney, website.

Burgess(who had huge audience) at the time of the bubble very very strongly encouraged people to join the property ladder before it got too expensive to get on. Now he has turned around to help people for money to fix what he helped create.

Anyway his answer to the critical text was basically, that the debate at the time was getting out of hand and a lot of people were using "bad language" so he closed down the debate.. Looks like we have these guys in Poland as well eh

UK, Ireland / Are the working class in the UK now shunned in the 'new' Poland? [53]

Polish families must be very disappointed in their own children if they work in a shop, or as 'bin' men, bus drivers, 'manual' labourers, or any other 'perceived' low esteem jobs?

In Poland its so f0cked up, you probably need a degree for these jobs, even a Masters.

Work / Wage and Salary rates in Poland [37]

.teachers in public schools in Poland would be earning 300 euro per month :O

Yea this is a fact, I personally know 2 teachers in Lublin and this is about what they earn.
I know several people with degrees earning less than 100 euros a week and they are not

failures

Its simply a very badly run country and life is hard. There may me money in the country and some people driving around in fancy cars but a hell of a lot more people live on the bread-line. As for the black-economy im not sure but here in Ireland its rampant and the Dole here is is three times higher than what a Polish teacher earns.

Its funny how all the gold members on this site seem to think the average Pole is loaded. Its as if they are trying to paint a positive picture in order to attract naive property investors for their quickly de-valuing property.

Work / Wage and Salary rates in Poland [37]

but I think the stats found online are grossly inflated.

Pure tactic
Yes that is the case for sure, its all tactic to try and fool the people that all is well even though the living standard is sh1t. Even on this site people are always jumping in and claiming that Poles are making a fortune and that things are much cheaper there, when the truth couldn't be further.

Work / Average monthly salary in Poland is around 1000 PLN (few hundred bucks). [387]

How do you expect them to know the realities of your "average" working family in Poland?

The thing is a lot of these people just don't want to know, so they can remain focused on what their ignorance perceives as wrong.. They could easily find out but their too clued into the lives of Posh and Becks etc and which celeb got the latest tit job.

sort of like these people

Hitler did have the right idea, dumbass churchill let our country down.

Do you go on about women all the time to your friends, but not so deep down you crave for a big well hung man. If so be strong and go get that man and leave the BNP.

Why Dell moved its production? Only because of financial reasons.

exactly.. They had to pay anual salary of 37 grand in Limrick and in Poland 7 grand..Alsa the majority of work was unskilled even a momkey could do it.

There's plenty of people in the UK living on 20 pounds a week.

they are in poverty as well so, but its alot more common in Poland, so common that they don't even realise how bad it is. If you are on your own with that money ok but with a few mouths to feed well thats pretty bad.

I have a brother on the dole here and when he pays his rent and bills at the end of the month ,he still has about 700 euros to spend on food and beer.

Robbed money? LOL.

Thats the way alot of people think here,Seanus this is not my opinion,I 100% think this is nonsense. The Irish have been emigrating constantly especially since the British caused mass genocidal Famine in 1845 onward so the Irish are hypocrtites when they cry about the so-called unwanted immigrants.

T

Did they bollox! It wasnt it was built on multi national companies setting up business there - when the tax breaks ended they all flocked off to pastures new..Poland being one of the destinations!

I agree the Poles were a speck of sand in the whole Celtic Tiger crap.

have about 300zl to last them the month and they get by fine, just have to be sensible.

Sensible is an under-statement that sounds like blatent poverty to me.. The funny thing is over here in Ireland im am constantly told by irish people that the Poles are living like kings now because they robbed money from the west and that they are the only country not in recession bla bla bla. They are so far removed from the actual economic situation for the average Pole in Poland.

Real Estate / Buying a flat in Krakow; prices are still falling? [200]

if you don't like something, then get off your ... and do something about it.

By contradicting the dominant view point/lie flowing out of here, IS doing something. I will not join any party because they all end up just lackies of the free market.

Real-estate is a gigantic problem in Poland that is crippling the majority, so it needs to be discussed rationally.

Prices of property in Krakow will not drop very much now...even in used properties.

Thats your point, so ok im a democrat, i will accept your opinion, however my opinion is that it will keep dropping until it reflects the salary of the actual Polish people working there.

The mentality of Poles is that they would rather have an empty house/flat on which they have to pay rates/media...than let it go for a reduced price.

This property bubble is only five years old so how can you speak in such generalisations about the mentality of the Polish people. The people on this site who are holding back with their super inflated prices are not Polish ehhh!!

Anyhow i will sit back and watch reality evolve, not my predictions.

've heard that millions of people manage to survive from day to day -

Million of people survive everywhere even Mozamboque what your point?

you somehow in the deepest corners of your soul do not like Poland

I spoke out very loudly against the bubble in Property in my own country since it began,so does that mean i dislike my own country??

"All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident."

We get your message loud and clear

who is "we" the developers??bad news buddy im talking to everyone so ......
its all shype, and I adore Poland and its people and look forward to the day it is not hijacked by developers,
I think somewhere not so very deep down inside you know people like me know that you are just a car-sales man

Real Estate / Buying a flat in Krakow; prices are still falling? [200]

There's obviously not much activity.

For the last year practically no activity what so-ever except for the ultra niave buyers(who are getting fewer and fewer) who believe the staged hyped weekly reports that the market has bottomed out. If the property prices(prices at the moment) are bottomed out, the wages in Poland would have to had at least quadrupled in the last 5 years. The prices are based on Poles earning in the west and foreign investors etc etc..It all a load a shype.

I still believe the property prices in Poland will be no different to anywhere else in the world. All bubbles burst,it is deflating at the moment but once the illusion is realised it will quickly return to Polish prices.

Real Estate / Relocating in Poland - what's the best area? [56]

I think the secondary education system in Mainland europe Poland is pretty complex compared to the one size fits all b*llsh1t we have here in Ireland and i think in Britain. I think enkidu may have a point but its a little too pointy maybe, as for

(I'm fully aware that in Poland, there would be Spanish levels of youth unemployment if it wasn't for the universities soaking up vast amounts of young people!)

I fully agree with this point.

This is not the time to buy. Those people whose apartments tripled in value in 4 years honestly think(believe the hype that they are rich) they will sell now for only 10 or 20 % less.. They can dream on if they think that they are not living in the same world(major world recession-depression) as the rest of us. People who tell you to buy now are either sellers or ....!!!! actually only sellers would advise that.

If property triples or doubles in price over a short period of 3 yrs..Its a bubble...In Ireland the prices and wages tripled and it is now world famous world champion bubble burster.

Wages are as sh1t as ever inPoland and property has gone through the roof so its a bubble. Simple fact

Real Estate / The current property boom in Poland is a bubble [342]

well according (wikapedia)to this they must
Over the span of years 2002-2008 real estate prices in Poland have increased drastically. Between June 2006 and June 2007 alone the average price of a square metre in Warsaw rose from 6,683 PLN (1,636 EUR) to 9,540 PLN (2,519 EUR) (over 50% rise in euro terms).[1]

According to a major Polish newspaper, Gazeta Wyborcza, the average monthly salary in Warsaw buys 0.26 m2, or in Kraków 0.22 m2.[2]

Same sources give rental profitability at 4% yearly. This is lower than interest rates on bank deposits (5% in Polbank etc.).[2]

In early 2007 the Polish property market began to show early signs of a property bubble; these included:

* banks increasing loan periods from 30 to 50 years to extend credit limits;
* over 1 million families already in debt, and roughly 300,000 more going in debt every year;

Its amazing how little discussion there is on this forum in relation to the massive property bubble in Poland..

I wonder why the"Discussion" button has not worked on the above for several months now.
I remember seen things like this before on Irish real-estate websites before the pop..

UK, Ireland / Are Polish people importing a new wave of ancient racism into the UK? [402]

I think there is a lot of hot air reactionary bullsh1t talked here..People move from country to country for external reasons outside their control.. The movement of people will always happen, has always happened so deal with it. Society needs proper government not just freemarket dogs who drag in foreigners like cattle to work for buttons. There are plenty of white individuals in every government who are racist to the bone and who would let half of Nigeria into England France etc etc if they were to personally profit from it.

The Brits had a high demand for unskilled labor in the 1950s and they cried out for immigrants..American cry out for Mexicans etc etc.. The Irish and EU were delighted to expand EU so to bring in cheap labor from the former Soviet states..The fear now is that The Poles abroad cannot return home because the wages at home are so sh1t that they can only maintain their super-inflated (Polish)mortgages and rare their children by remaining in the west. Then the low wage economy of Poland will be swamped by Belarusian and Ukrainians. The Poles will then be complaining big time, even grannies will be shaving of their hair to join the impulse, reactionary ,dog chasing tail skinheads.Something needs to be done that does not include the solutions of the nazi right and the colourless soft left.

The solution will most definatly not include mentally illiterate, scumbag, soccer thugs

Soccer tribalism is just the containment of the most brainless people in society..There needs to be a solution to immigration but to think that a bunch of mentally ill sexually frustrated, uneducated scumbags could be part of the solution is absolute nonsense..If an enemy came near these pussies they would **** their pance run home to their mammies.
